The present research is the secondary analysis study based on a cross-sectional 2020 Community Health Survey. The sample consisted of older adults (n=50,256) aged 65 years or older. The differences in level of depression and relationship of changes in daily living activities during COVID-19 pandemic and perceived social support with depression in elderly were assessed using independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, chi-square test, and binary logistic regression analysis. The main findings were that the decrease in indoor and outdoor physical activities (OR=1.31, 95% CI=1.17-1.46), reduced sleep time (OR=2.29, 95% CI=1.97-2.66), increased sleep time (OR=1.37, 95% CI=1.13-1.66), and absence of perceived social support (OR=1.60, 95% CI=1.23-2.08) were significantly associated with depression in elderly. Given the potential outbreak of another infectious disease in the near future, the findings of this study highlight the interest in mental well-being and need for prevention and intervention services for depression, especially in community-dwelling elderly.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129152451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although the TBO(Time Between Overhauls) of K9 self-propelled howitzer engine is 1,500 engine operating hours, 13.37 % of K9 Self-Propelled howitzer engines which were operated for only hundreds of hours suffered low oil pressure symptoms and failed to operate normally. Detailed investigation into the engine was conducted to establish the cause and generation mechanism of the symptoms and it was found that oil leakage due to abrasive wear of pressure relief valve piston housing occurred in the oil pump assembly. To prevent abrasive wear of piston housing, new design concept and design parameters of pressure relief valve have been proposed. Performance, durability and system installation test on the prototype based on the proposed design were followed and results validated the proposed design. Oil pump assembly based on this study is applied to mass production.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130199682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main results of this study were, first, found that ESG's environment, society, and governance structure had a significant effect on psychological distance. Second, it was found that the environment and society had a significant effect on authenticity. However, it was found that the governance structure had no significant effect. Finally, it was found that psychological distance and authenticity had a significant effect on the intention to participate in education. The theoretical implications of this study first contributed to academic expansion through research on the environment, society, governance structure, psychological distance, and authenticity of lifelong learning institutions on learning participation intention. Second, a measurement question for ESG activities of lifelong learning institutions was presented. Third, it will be of academic significance in that it has expanded to separate ESG areas at each level at the governance level that have not been actively expressed in social responsibility or shared value creation activities that have been actively studied. Fourth, signal theory was applied to ESG management of lifelong learning institutions to contribute to the expansion of theory. As a practical implication of this study, practitioners should continue to inform them that they are sincerely working through advertisements and publicity so that learners can feel psychologically close in environmental and social activities. In addition, in order to secure authenticity at the level of governance, external audit institutions should be used and authenticity should be secured through a citizen participation audit system.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130253727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The world's largest diesel power plant listed in the Guinness Book of World Records is Jordan's Amman Asian power plant, which produces a total of 573 MW of electric power. It consists of 38 units of 15MW capacity, and KEPCO achieved high profitability through the power plant. If a large capacity of 40MW clsss is applied, it will be newly listed in the Guinness Book of World Records even if only 15 units are constructed. Therefore, large-scale overseas orders for diesel power plants that require large capacity are expected in the future. The purpose of this study is to derive a practical offset by performing the shaft alignment analysis for large capacity 40MW shaft system, and to infer the change of offset for larger capacity shaft system through the comparison with the 30MW shaft alignment which is the result of the previous research. As a result, the practical offset of shaft system for the 40MW diesel power generation equipment was derived through the bearing influence assessment. From the comparison of shaft alignment between 30MW and 40MW, it is considered to be a complex offset to calculate the height of the engine bearing from 50MW class.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"151 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114545765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ROK government's North Korea policy and unification plan have undergone significant changes over the past several decades. Looking at the changes from the Park Chung-hee administration to the Moon Jae-in administration is important in developing future North Korea policy and unification plans. From 1961, during the Park Chung-hee administration, to 2022, when the Moon Jae-in administration ended, the ROK's North Korea policy and unification plan were examined. The reason for the analysis from 1961 is that this period was the period when North Korea was approached from a policy point of view after the Korean War. North Korea continues to threaten South Korea militarily after the Korean War and is increasing the threat by developing nuclear weapons and upgrading ballistic missiles. North Korea talks about reconciliation and peace on the outside, but in reality, it continues to seriously threaten the ROK's security. Nonetheless, North Korea is a target that the ROK must embrace and unify in the future. Therefore, the ROK needs to promote policies and measures that can cooperate with North Korea while being wary of it.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125854139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
