Therefore, an integrated organic and socioeconomic approach is urgently required to bioreclaim degraded mine sites.The most common problems linked with degraded land rehabilitation failures are frequently associated with improper selection of plantation species. Subsistence utility preferences of local people are major acclaimed and convincing reasons in the selection of valuable tree species for Bioreclamation. Socioeconomic Survey were carried out in the nearby villages of Silica mining area to study the existing resources of the area, social structure of the community, dependence on forest and species preferred by the local people. Consequently, a Utility Value Index (UVI) framework was conceptualized, designed and subsequently developed to identify species preferred by the local people and highly valued for supporting their livelihood.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45947735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A solar combi-system is a solar installation that provides both domestic hot water and heating. In this work, the authors evaluated the energy needs of such a system in the case of an F3 type house on a site in Meknes. The technical regulatory document is used to determine the energy demand for heating and to verify the conformity of the buildings to the thermal regulations. The domestic hot water demand is evaluated according to the analytical method. A thermal simulation of the production of domestic hot water under TRNSYS 16 confirms the results obtained by the analytical method.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48829770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Achieving these SDGs are among the top items on the agenda of several state organizations, including the United Arab Emirates. This article analyzes the UAE’s recent performance in achieving SDG 15, labeled as Life on Land. Using the data from international databases, namely the UN SDG Database and the Bertelsmann Stiftung SDG-index, we analyze the indicators that measure the UAE’s performance towards achieving SDG 15. This research sets a strategy for preserving biodiversity in the UAE and attaining the relevant goals to protect life on land. The findings suggest that while UAE is motivated to achieve the goals stated in SDG15, significant challenges remain ahead. Specifically, many of the relevant indicators are missing, making it hard to measure country performance based on reliable metrics.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49117437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Money received through corruption influence aggregate demand, which pushes up the inflation level and thereby increases income inequality across groups making an unsustainable social system. The existing literature shows two types of interrelationships among the variables, positive and/or negative, across countries or groups. The present study reinvestigates whether corruption and inflation maintain long-run relations and short-run dynamics in a panel of 30 countries from different strata in corruption perception index for the period 1996-2017. Using panel cointegration, VECM, and causality test, the study arrives at the conclusion that control of corruption and inflation rate have long-run equilibrium relations for the panel, and there is long-run as well as short-run causality observed from corruption to inflation. Hence, the study prescribes for implementation of stricter norms for controlling corruption to reduce social unsustainability.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41971599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pandemic is not a single reason of health crisis, poor air quality is also a great threat for increasing mortality rate in the world. In Nation Capital Region (NCR), India and nearby areas, the time period of months of September to Decemberis very much crucial every year as due to many social, cultural, ecological and known-unknown reasons, the quality of air is degraded below threshold level causing threats to human health and lives. Present manuscript is a trial for analysis of air quality of Indian capital region amidst global pandemic and effect of Ancient Yagya and Homa science on curbing the pollution. It also indicates multiple benefits of Yagya science as well as improvements in result section where mainly pollution analysis is focused. IoT and sensor based instruments were used to collect the data and LSTN and adam optimization were applied to study the effect. It was found a reduction in pollutant particles and improvement in air quality after a week.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44957981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using multi-stage sampling technique and semi-structured questionnaires, 150 maize farmers from five communities were interviewed. Heckman's treatment effect model was used. The result showed that majority had off-farm income that they received from trading. Furthermore, off-farm income has a significant effect on adoption of adaptation strategies. The majority of the farmers had perceived changes in the climate over the past decades and adaptation strategies practiced included changing planting date, changing crop variety, diversifying crop type, mixed cropping, and keeping animals alongside crop cultivation. Based on the findings from this study, government should provide enabling environment that will create and increase opportunities for farmers to engage in other income-generating activities that will provide them with additional income to procure necessary inputs and tools for appropriate response to the ongoing climate change problem.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47261423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hidden cost of such irresponsible consumption is very high and has already been felt by the present generation in the form of extinction of species and degradation of the environment. People often consume in excess of what is required. This calls for more rational and efficient consumption of products in order to reduce the burden on the resources. The extant literature on responsible consumption until now has been given less attention despite being of utmost importance. Therefore, the present study is aimed at identifying the enablers of responsible consumption and prioritizing them. This research adopts an interpretive structural modeling technique to identify and organize eleven enablers linked to responsible consumption.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43178667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the present business scenario, apart from ensuring consumer welfare and achieving excellence in the competition, companies should be sensitive towards the well-being of the society at large and towards creating and maintaining a sustainable society and physical environment for the present and future generations. Both consumers and businesses should appreciate consumerism and environmentalism. Companies should be sensitive towards the adverse effects of business activities on the environment and realize their responsibilities towards the environment. They adopt a number of initiatives and sustainability visions to ensure creating a sustainable society for the present and future generations. The study will make all the stakeholders understand the importance of promoting sustainable marketing and their roles and responsibilities towards the society.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45289120","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using a robotic system in any industry for work provides precision and a certain level of accuracy. A robotic entity such as a robotic arm will not ask for time out and can work efficiently day and night which will in turn increase efficiency in workplace. In this paper, we have explained about an arm created, which works in such a way that while the robotic arm is working, camera is able to identify any object it sees which is taken care by the worker looking over the arm. The major outcome and result is the increased efficiency in workplace, precision and accuracy in low cost which can also be used for house hold chores too.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46486733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
