The purpose of the study is to highlight the importance of forest resources and major issues pertaining to these resources in India and underlining the consequences of forest depletion. The study focuses on the role of forests in rural livelihood, employment and income generation, poverty alleviation, and interaction of women with forests. Issues like market failure and trade-off between forest and economic development have also been touched upon. The way various researchers depict the tremendous pressure on forest resources and consequences of the same have been identified through review of the research studies.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45886019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indeed, the price variable, while is considered, in general way, as a confident indicator in the regulation of drinking water consumption, it seems to be insufficient since the management of drinking water is influenced by other set of variables such as: the revenue level of households, the consumption of bottled water, the alternative sources, the household size and, above all, the quality variable, which presents an enormous variability inter- and intra-regions. Through our study, we have shown, that the variation in willingness to pay (WTP) is essentially due to psychological and subjective consideration (the degree of importance of these variables in the scale of preferences of consumers).","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42533279","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although with the prompt economic growth, the concern of environmental sustainability is still a major challenge for every country. EIA since its inception has been considered as a holistic tool in assessing the potential impacts of developmental projects on the natural environment. EIA in India was first launched in 1994 and since then it has been undergoing a renaissance, and now several developmental projects have to obtain necessary environmental clearance as per the EIA notification 2006. This paper focuses on a critical overview of the evolution, process, and changes. Evaluation of the process using SOAR analysis helps in increasing the transparency and efficacy in the EIA. This research finally concludes by inferring that EIA if exercised properly shall not only ensure a clean and healthy environment but also shall aid the nation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45408327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Certainly, managing COVID-19 as compared to other type of disasters comes with a lot of unique challenges to many sectors including the educational sector, especially to higher education institutions (HEI). Since the announcement of Movement Control Orders by the government of Malaysia, most of the Malaysia HEI students, including UTHM, have left their campuses, but the problems wrought by COVID-19 have not. Not only students, UTHM employees from academic and supporting staff are also worried about their future for not continuously working as usual. The aim of the paper is to propose a disaster decision support system by combining UTHM Tracker and MOBILISE Digital System, named as MOBILISE-UTHM Resilient Tracker (RITTER) for UTHM students to build resilience during the COVID-19 outbreak and further. To provide Real-time Intelligence for Rapid Disaster Response combining UTHM Tracker and MOBILISE system for UTHM students during the COVID-19 outbreak in UTHM.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48045692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is the outcome of an ever-increasing level of consumption per person multiplied by an ever-increasing global population. The demand for resources and the conditions needed to support it increases as the population grows. Therefore, increasing consumption and fast depletion of resources requires need for minimalism requires to learn how to optimize decision making in our new choice-packed world. The current study aims at identifying the drivers of minimalism and further prioritizing them. Lifestyle changes, modern aesthetics and reducing unessential’s have been emerged as most important drivers of minimalism. The finding of the study would help policymakers to frame strategies to encourage minimalism as a way of life This would further helps in reducing stress and anxiety, minimize excess consumption, global warming, thereby, preventing rapid resources depletion, environmental degradation, and minimize carbon footprint.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46997881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Akbulaev","doi":"10.4018/ijsesd.315317","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4018/ijsesd.315317","url":null,"abstract":"The proposed work examines financial literacy from the point of view of social awareness of the younger generation, reveals the essence of financial literacy as a system of knowledge, skills, skills and attitudes in the financial field, and defines the current tasks aimed at increasing financial literacy in Russia. The development of market relations, the trend of global globalization, the availability on the market of a wide range of previously unknown financial goods and services often lead Russians into confusion, posing problems for them, to which they are not properly prepared. All categories of citizens need financial education. A decent level of financial education allows adults to organize effective management of personal finances, optimize the ratio of savings to consumption, plan future pension provision, objectively assess possible risks and make reasonable decisions when investing own capital. The growing generation of financial education allows you to understand the value of money, serves as a basis for acquiring the basics of budget planning and savings, in general terms allows you to understand the essence of the financial market and products offered on it. Financial literacy is a complex of knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors in the financial field and personal socio-psychological characteristics, the formation of which determines the possibility and degree of a person's readiness to successfully perform a variety of socioeconomic roles, such as a householder, investor, borrower, taxpayer, e. Financial literacy makes it possible to determine at what level the student's financial relationships are with the society, in addition, it is an integral part of the student's social competence. Knowledge, skills, attitudes and attitudes in the financial sphere are cognitive, active and motivational-value elements of financial literacy. As a result of the given research we exmind summarized Russian Federation experience in propaganda of economic literacy.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47347277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It demonstrates the central role and importance of electricity, and what policy makers need to do in order to ensure that current and future systems remain reliable even as they are transformed by the rise of clean energy technologies. The novel COVID19 pandemic has created an unprecedented global health and economic crisis. The result of such a scenario is that energy demand contracts by 6%, the largest in 70 years in percentage terms and the largest ever in absolute terms. The impact of Covid19 on energy demand in 2020 would be more than seven times larger than the impact of the 2008 financial crisis on global energy demand and this is what the Olduvai theory is defined by e=energy production/population. It states that the life expectancy of Industrial Civilization is less than or equal to 100 years.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45184320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
