In this study, groups of batch experiments were designed to explore Equilibrium adsorption of MB onto the alum sludge. The percentage dye removal using alum sludge was 87.5% and the maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 67.94 (mgdye/galum sludge). With regard to adsorption capacity; Equilibrium modeling has been executed using the Langmuir and the Freundlich, isotherms. The Langmuir isotherm adapted the experimental data more than Freundlich isotherms based on the high value of the correlation coefficient and graphical presentation. Experimental results on laboratory-scale indicated that reutilization of alum sludge as an effective and low-cost adsorbent for treatment of colored effluents thus, could be considered as alternative for the high cost commercial activated carbon and may be useful in solving environmental issues and waste management.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49310377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is an exploratory case study, carried out by from data collected from 233 insulin-dependent diabetics and interviews with a health professional from October 2014 to September 2015. It was estimated that, in one year, 68% of insulin users received standard biosafety boxes below the necessary quantity for the disposal of needles syringes and lancets. Around 1,300 kg of sharp wastes were generated and only 1831 boxes were distributed, showing a deficit in the reverse logistic system and indicating that sharp residues were incorrectly disposed of in residential garbage. It is necessary a new Brazilian model to distribute the standard biosafety boxes to diabetics to guarantee the correct environmental disposal of sharp wastes","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44696791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper throws light on the necessity for implementing and highlights the various reasons for which these guidelines have not come to the attention of the responsible organizations including law making agencies, automobile manufacturers and as well the consumers. An interpretive structural modelling analysis is made to point out ten driving factors in consultation with various experts from the relevant fields and the results provide guidance to how far the idea of design for dis-assembly and re-manufacturing has sought the world for the sustainability of the automobile manufacturers in the industry, for the days to come.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44690218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So, it is preferable to utilize more developed tools in agriculture. In this study, an evaluation was made on the drudgery-levels of farmers during harvesting of paddy in Odisha (India) in two cases, such as use of serrated-sickles for manually harvesting, and use of power tiller reaper. A reduction of 26.61% in drudgery-level was observed based on the measured ergonomic-parameters by power tiller reaper as compared to serrated-sickles. Further, correlation-coefficient matrix was obtained by considering the ergonomic-parameters for both the cases. Moreover, an attempt was made for the evaluation of adoption practices of the farmers by the use of “Adoption and Diffusion Outcome Prediction Tool (ADOPT)” to provide the prediction of an expected rate of practices as well as peak level of adoption by determining the significance of diverse factors that influence it. Then, the SWOT analysis was done for the power tiller reaper, which was followed by the opinions of farmers in to assess the suitability of both cases.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70470343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Now is the time to offer a comprehensive review that identifies, synthesizes, and integrates previous research and highlights knowledge gaps and the way forward. This methodical literature search helped systematize 86 articles in the Scopus database published by 2018. Using a systematic and in-depth content analysis using bibliometric techniques, the authors reviewed the articles and identified the main theories used and the methodological orientations in these. articles. This review helps to identify significant knowledge gaps in terms of theoretical orientation and core content. In such a scenario, though the value of brand could not be undermined from a consumer perspective the complexities of its management determining the various contributing factors for new extension success and the attitude of retailers and consumers towards new products or extensions based on various variables need to be pragmatically considered. The data were collected from 360 retailers and 360 consumers from the four major cities of South India. Review of the literature on management of brands pointed to several important variables. In this context, discriminant analysis was applied to assess the responsiveness of retailers and consumers towards the various factors affecting the success of brand extensions. Nevertheless, the present study may throw light on the effect of hypothetical brand extensions on their core brands of FMCGs in India.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70471041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
