The present business scenario demands that apart from ensuring consumer welfare and achieving excellence in the competition, companies should be sensitive towards and should empathize with the well-being of the society at large. The objective of the study is to analyze the promotion of sustainable marketing. The methodology adopted is a conceptual analysis of the various aspects of sustainable marketing. Companies should create and maintain a sustainable society and physical environment for the present and the future generations. Consumerism and environmentalism are responsibilities of both consumers and businesses. Companies should realize their responsibilities towards creating and maintaining a sustainable environment and should be aware about the adverse effects of businesses on the environment. They adopt several strategies, initiatives, and sustainability vision towards creating a sustainable society and environment for future generations. The discussions will sensitize all concerned stakeholders about the importance of sustainability and of promoting sustainable marketing and their roles and responsibilities towards the society. They will be encouraged towards adopting sustainable marketing practices.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"17 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140963413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It assesses Greek consumers' attitudes, satisfaction, and knowledge about green products through questionnaires, analyzing the interplay of these factors in consumer satisfaction and highlighting the role of awareness in the green market. The study also compares these findings with Romanian consumer behavior to understand cultural and socioeconomic influences. Results show that positive attitudes towards green products and access to information significantly enhance consumer satisfaction, a trend consistent across different cultures. However, a lack of sustainability knowledge among youth presents an educational opportunity. The study advocates for strategic educational efforts to support SCP, emphasizing the need for well-informed product design, fair pricing, and clear communication to promote sustainable consumer habits, contributing to the broader SCP discourse and guiding future sustainable economy policies.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"29 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139176226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Particularly, a successful branding process, including the framework design and establishment of regulation tools, is necessary and quite important to be able to succeed on recognize and furthermore to enhance the catch-up process, enforce competitiveness level and development. The socio-economic implications from a successful branding are more apparent using some of the main socio-economic variables, such as public investment, employability, and socio-economic regional growth. In this context, the urban and semi-urban centers must clearly define their position in the market through branding and marketing policy. This text attempts to examine the contemporary role of branding and furthermore to examine and analyze the results in the process of development for semi-urban centers in Greece.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"62 14","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138604802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study is based on systematic literature review. The scope of the research is qualitative and may serve as a basis for identifying factors that can contribute to the adoption of sustainability in the seaport infrastructure sector. The article has direct implications for seaport infrastructure providers. They are encouraged to regularly monitor and to build climate resilient seaport (hereafter ‘port') infrastructure as it is crucial for the economic growth of many developing and emerging countries, as the majority of global trade is done through sea mode. The article collates and examines recent seaport infrastructure study findings. It presents a comprehensive, conceptual model encompassing research work and a holistic view of various aspects affecting sustainability of seaport infrastructure. The article develops a conceptual model that needs to be confirmed empirically.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"76 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139252714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The world leaders have proposed green banking (GB) to reduce carbon footprints from banking operations by promoting paperless financial services based on technology. However, the customers' adoption of GB remains unsatisfactory in the UAE. This study attempts to investigate the determinants of consumers' intention adoption of GB. An exploratory sequential mixed-method approach is employed. The qualitative analysis identified six new challenges facing customers' intention adoption of GB: customer awareness, personal innovativeness, bank reputation, security and privacy, system quality, and government support. The qualitative findings are mostly confirmed by quantitative study whereby awareness, personal innovativeness, system quality, and bank reputation significantly impact customers' intention to adopt GB. The study also revealed the insignificant moderating impact of gender and age in most proposed relationships.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135168059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the current study aimed to examine the impact of green banking practices on the firm's sustainable environmental performance. Further, the impact of sustainable environmental performance on firms' profitability was also measured. A survey-based research design was employed by collecting data from Private sector bank employees of India. The data analysis was performed on the selected private bank employees collected from August 2022 to November 2022 by employing the PLS-SEM method with the help of smartPLS software. The study found a significant positive relationship between bank environmental performance and profitability. Consequently, green banking policy significantly influences the day-to-day operation and funding or investment in green projects. Specifically, the study hypothesizes that green banking practices lead to improved operational efficiency, increased funding and investment in green projects, enhanced sustainable environmental performance, and improved profitability for private sector banks. The results of this study contributed to the existing literature on green banking practices and provided insights for policymakers, bank management, and other stakeholders interested in promoting sustainable banking practices.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135824693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Within the scope of the research, the survey was applied to the companies operating in the shipbuilding sector in Turkey. Research data were analysed using descriptive analysis, correlation, and regression methods. As a result of the analysis carried out, it was concluded that in environmentally responsible manufacturing practices, internal reasons are more effective than external reasons, environmentally responsible manufacturing activities are positively associated with clean production performance, and cleaner production performance has a positive effect on business performance. The main limitation of the study is the small size of the sample, and it is recommended to contribute to the practitioners in environmentally responsible manufacturing by conducting new research with larger sample sizes in different sectors.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41722007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this paper is to study the impacts of CV implementation on three stakeholders: the company, the community, and the employees. Through a survey targeting employees with experience in CV, it was possible to conclude, generally, that the main perceived impact is increasing employee satisfaction level; that CV impacts are partially influenced by gender, the respondents' frequency in CV activities, and preferences; and, finally, that CV impacts are mainly explained in the company by self-serving purposes, in the community by the anticipation of benefits, and for employees by the social exchange, attribution, and identification psychological theories.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44246128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relevance of CES to indicate human well-being is based on a few indicators such as emotions, stress, health, and happiness. Previous studies show that there was a significant relationship between the existence of CES and human well-being. However, those studies only provide the knowledge quantitatively. The authors also found that to discuss CES only from quantitative approach is absurd because CES cannot be separated from spiritual and religious services.","PeriodicalId":38556,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70471098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
