Being an effective school there needs to be a strong headmaster's leadership because the meaning of leadership is one's attitude to be able to influence others in order to work according to their responsibilities and achieve desired goals. This research is quantitative research with a survey method. From the results of this study, it was found that the principal's leadership style significantly influenced the effectiveness of schools in the State Vocational High School in Jambi Province. Based on the results of the analysis, the obtained value of thitung (8,54) > ttabel (1,969),  H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the high leadership style of the principal has a significant influence on school effectiveness. This means that the extent effectiveness of application the principal's leadership style will result, increase in school effectiveness. Management of facilities and infrastructure is very important, because with the management of existing facilities and infrastructure in educational institutions will be maintained and their use clear. Management of the planning process, organizing, leadership and control of the efforts of members of the organization by using all organizational resources to achieve the stated goals. Management is a skill to move and control others to achieve predetermined goals. Educational facilities for all equipment, ingredient, and furniture that is directly used in the education process at school. Educational infrastructure is related to all basic equipment that indirectly supports the implementation of the learning process in schools. The emphasis on this understanding is on its nature, the means are direct and the infrastructure is not direct in supporting the learning process. Salah satunya bisa dilihat dari pembangunan infrastrukturnya, antara sekolah yang berada di perkotaan dan sekolah yang berada di pedesaan sangat berbeda. Hal tersebut dapat berpengaruh pada mutu pendidikan terutama yang berada di daerah pedesaan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana mutu pendidikan Sekolah Dasar di Kota Padang secara lebih rinci. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menggambarkan kondisi mutu pendidikan Sekolah Dasar di Kota Padang, faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya, serta 2) upaya pemerintah (Dinas Pendidikan) untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Kota Padang. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) mutu pendidikan Sekolah Dasar dan Menengah cukup bagus, ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan hasil akreditasi dari tahun ke tahun. Pada tahun 2012, seluruh sekolah telah terakreditasi. Delapan Standar Nasional Pendidikan juga sudah terpenuhi, walaupun ada beberapa yang kurang maksimal seperti standar sarana dan prasarana dan standar PTK; 2)  Faktor pendukung dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan adalah: alokasi dana yang memadahi, sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas, saling bersinergi antara sekolah dengan Dinas Pendidikan, pembangunan infrastruktur yang bagus, lokasi geografis yang mendukung. If quoting McGregor Burns' opinion, transformational leadership is a process in which leaders and followers together increase and develop their morality and motivation. In addition, a very brief but concise function that has been stated by the father of our education, Ki Hajar Dewantara, that a good leader must carry out functions, namely: \"Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo\" (meaning in front of giving the role model); \"Ing Madyo Mangun Karso\" (meaning in the middle of creating work opportunities); \"Tut Wuri Handayani\" (meaning from behind gives encouragement and direction).
