Social presence is a subjective feeling of learners and has become one of the important indicators to measure the effectiveness of learners' online learning. In this study, we designed and developed a social presence scale to measure and analyze students' social presence in live online classes from the perspective of students' emotions, to verify the relationship between social presence and satisfaction and to propose corresponding improvement strategies to enhance students' online learning effectiveness. The study found that the overall level of students' social presence in current live classes is low; the use of different live platforms affects students' social presence; and there is a strong positive correlation between students' social presence and learning satisfaction in online live classes. Based on this, strategies to improve students' social presence are proposed to provide a reference for front-line teachers' online teaching.","PeriodicalId":37324,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on E-Learning: Corporate, Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education","volume":"284 1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86176377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While significant attention has been devoted to technological issues, scholars and practitioners are also emphasizing the essential role of managerial practices and employee engagement in enhancing performance. Under this trend, research on the effectiveness of coaching interventions in improving organizational performance has also increased. Our study reveals that coaching research has undergone a shift in focus from the perspective of the coach to the coachee and from individual performance to organizational effects. Moreover, the findings emphasize that coaching research is increasingly focusing on performance management practices to enhance employee engagement and performance.","PeriodicalId":37324,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on E-Learning: Corporate, Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education","volume":"352 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77320615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rise of online teaching and learning in the epidemic era has driven the emergence of virtual teaching assistant hotspots, and the exploration of their technology has slowly expanded towards interaction, image, and emotion.This paper conducted a scientometric analysis using 221 academic papers related to virtual teaching assistants and education in the citation space between 1998 and 2022 to identify and visualize research hotspots, global trends and directions, etc. The results show a rapid increase in the number of publications on this topic in the last five years and a growing interdisciplinary research topic, with the most productive country in this field being the United States, but so far the theoretical research on virtual teacher assistants is not deep and comprehensive enough. In this paper, we identify the need and importance of virtual assistant research in the context of existing research in the fields of education, computer science, and psychology, and inform the design and production of future virtual teacher assistants.","PeriodicalId":37324,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on E-Learning: Corporate, Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76414782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the current learning environment, some students have difficulty concentrating and lacking interaction and communication, and problems such as low level of learning engagement and poor learning outcomes have emerged. Therefore, this study designed a flipped classroom teaching model based on blended learning based on constructivist learning theory and mastery learning theory. Through questionnaires and experimental studies, the study investigated and analyzed students' learning performance and learning engagement levels under the blended flipped classroom teaching model to verify the effectiveness of the model, taking the junior high school IT course as an example. The study shows that the application of the model can effectively improve students' learning achievement as well as learning engagement level, which provides reference and reference for future educational teaching practice.","PeriodicalId":37324,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on E-Learning: Corporate, Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72606062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study used quantitative research method using secondary data obtained from Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) and the company's website. The company size is measured using total assets natural logarithms of nominal value, whereas profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA). The leverage is measured using Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), while the media exposure instrument was dummy variable. The environmental performance is measured using PROPER results from the annual and sustainability report. Measurement of green strategy is done using the Ohlson (2008) index and the carbon emission disclosure is measured using Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) checklist. The samples are applied using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique accompanied by predetermined criteria, with a final sample of 13 energy companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and 39 observations during the years 2019-2021. The result of this study provides empirical evidence that media exposure, environmental performance, and green strategy have a positive significant effect on carbon emission disclosure, whereas company size, profitability, and leverage do not have significant effect on carbon emission disclosure.","PeriodicalId":37324,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on E-Learning: Corporate, Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education","volume":"52 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84313092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
