Kolenov","doi":"10.1109/ACIT49673.2020.9208826","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ACIT49673.2020.9208826","url":null,"abstract":"An algorithm for calculating the number of broken interatomic bonds for a hexagonal close-packed crystal lattice cut by an arbitrary plane is proposed. This challenge occurs in surface energy calculation, modeling strength and surface properties, the crystal growth simulation, and other problems of solid-state and surface physics. The dimension and complexity of this problem are so great that it cannot be solved without involving a computer with a proper software. In the paper, the geometry of the HCP lattice was analyzed. This made it possible to represent the lattice as an integer discrete space and to construct an integer metric in it. Such representation allowed us to develop an exact, fully integer algorithm for solving the problem. The algorithm was implemented as a PC application. In addition to the number of broken bonds, the application calculates the reticular density, builds 3D models of the HCP lattice cross-section by a given plane. The consequences of shifting from a linear to a circular supply chain are impossible to visualize in the long term. For this reason, stakeholders are afraid of investing in sustainable policies, and it is not easy to convince them. Our contribution is a methodology to design a simulator that allows stakeholders to understand and find explanations about transforming their linear supply process to a circular value chain before implementing it in the real world. The methodology proposed is based on four perspectives: (i) service-dominant logic, (ii) ecosystem services, (iii) system dynamics, and (iv) agent-based modeling. These approaches allow us to model a three-dimensional system (social, physical, and ecological) for circular economy practices and to visualize consequences in the future. Additionally to the methodology proposal, as a result, we present its implementation in a real case: a food bank located in Jalisco, Mexico, where it generates food waste, and there is a need to transform the value chain in to activate food donations from agricultural producers. In the view of it, this article is devoted to the study of the digital marketing communications technologies implementation, such as smart grids, by energy service companies, into the cyclic management system of urban transport infrastructure. The diversification of vehicles in cities running on alternative fuels is highlighted. The prerequisites for the application of the smart approach to the development in cyclic management of urban transport infrastructure are considered. Novel methods and technologies have been used in the last few years to perform image classification, object detection, caption generation, and other techniques on different types of digital objects from different disciplines. In this pilot study, carried out in the context of the Digital Humanities project ChIA, we present an approach for testing different commercial (Clarifai, IBM Watson, Microsoft Cognitive Services, Google Cloud Vision) and open-source (YOLO) computer vision (CV) tools on a set of selected cultural food images from the Europeana collection with regard to producing relevant concepts. The project generally aims at improving access to implicit cultural knowledge contained in images, and increase analysis possibilities for scientific research as well as for content providers and educational purposes. Preliminary results showed that not only quantitative output results are important, but also the quality of concepts generated.
