Therefore, the wide adoption of autonomous vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is expected to save hundreds of thousands of lives in the next decades. One important capability of autonomous vehicles and ADAS is pedestrian detection. However, such detection becomes very challenging in scenarios where pedestrians are partially occluded, resulting in high rates of non-detection. In this paper, we improve the performance of a pedestrian classifier by proposing frameworks composed of Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) feature extraction, combined with Support Vector Machine (SVM), and eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) learning models. In order to validate the performance of the improved approach, we consider the PSU and the INRIA pedestrian datasets. The state-of-the-art detection rates for the PSU and INRIA datasets are 55% and 54%, respectively. The proposed approach achieves detection rates of 86% and 82%, respectively, considerably outperforming the state-of-the-art results.","PeriodicalId":372744,"journal":{"name":"2020 10th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128688995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the complexity of the modeling object encourages the projection of synthesized models onto the selected attribute of dependability as a complex qualitative characteristic of information system. The article proposes models for estimating time to failure (TTF) as a functional-temporal component of ISCU reliability, in which, unlike in the existing ones, serial and parallel versions for aggregating a cascade of autonomous security subsystems are taken into account, which allowed us to formalize resourceintensive optimization task for the ISCU, the information security subsystem of which is designed to provide a given TTF. To solve the optimization task, an adaptation of the corresponding methods of mathematical programming is proposed, the effectiveness of which is proved empirically.","PeriodicalId":372744,"journal":{"name":"2020 10th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134416048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using statistical approaches provides additional information about the loading of the object being investigated, the presence of periodic loads. For this purpose, the components that characterize the change in stresses of the deformed state are studied. To evaluate the durability of structures, it is necessary to determine whether the law of stresses change obeys the normal law of distribution. In this case the sectors on a cylindrical object are selected where the stress change is maximum. It is potentially possible to control the process of stress changing at each point in the grid, but in this case there is a need to deal with big volume of calculations. The calculation scheme is proposed for estimating the durability of technological rotating objects using a statistical criterion, as well as a method for determining the change in the stress-strain state of these objects. The technique of testing the hypothesis is implemented about the normal law of distribution of random variable that is changing the stress state of the studied object. The directions of further researches are established.","PeriodicalId":372744,"journal":{"name":"2020 10th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT)","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133713958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A method of forming the contours of a real object from a sequence of images is proposed. The construction of a bounding pyramid using the projection of the center and silhouette is shown. The intersection of all bounding pyramids determines the geometric representation of the object. Methods of obtaining information about the depth of the scene are proposed. A method of binocular stereo reconstruction of three-dimensional objects based on perturbation functions is proposed. In the method, interference is linear and requires linear compensation methods that are performed using the GPU by means of standard OpenGL. Defines the portion of the frame buffer (channel) in the GPU in which the image is output. Passive stereo uses two channels that process images intended for the left and right eye. Both channels handle a single main scene graph representing a user-defined model and attached to a root node (scene-root). Channels differ in the settings of the projection transformation (view-transform), which is determined by known parameters, such as the size and distance to the screen, the position of the user’s point of view, stereo base and others, which are specified in the calibration file. The paper shows the advantages of the proposed method over the known approaches of reconstruction of three-dimensional models.","PeriodicalId":372744,"journal":{"name":"2020 10th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125941188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a fundamental task for homeland security and crime prevention. Some video analytics tasks are being addressed by at the edge processing approach, which combines algorithmic with hardware development, within the camera system design. The at the edge processing approach looks for real-time performance on specific domains and low network bandwidth requirements. However, it implies that the already installed city-camera-network should be replaced and continuously updated since it introduces constraints to analytics capabilities related to cameras’ characteristics and functionalities. Thus, city surveillance by the at the edge processing approach requires a large budget, and continuous investment, to keep the system working. In this paper, we present both faced challenges and obtained achievements during the design process of video-analytics-system software architecture. Interoperability, availability, and security were the prioritized quality attributes by the Quality Attribute Workshop method. A microservices and cloud-based design was the result of applying the Attribute Driven Design method, incorporating software engineering sustainability concerns. As a practical advantage, the designed system can work with the already installed city surveillance camera network and allows incorporating video analytics algorithms as the surveillance system evolves. The evaluation combined the functional and operative prototype as well as the ATAM method, according to which approach is more suited to evaluate a specific driver. The discussion on findings of design an evaluation processes is a takeaway for the reader.","PeriodicalId":372744,"journal":{"name":"2020 10th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT)","volume":"25 8","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120982223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
