With the publication of his popular almanacs on hygiene, that started in 1866, and following the precepts of what we might call \"scientific pedagogy\", Mantegazza tried to provide the Italian people with a set of sanitary norms concerning both personal hygiene and personal behavior. In so doing he wanted to educate the Italians introducing them to good manners, exactly when Italy had acquired its political unity. In the first paragraph, I have considered Mantegazza's works in the specific cultural and historical context of that period and taking into account the role played by the main Italian publishers in contributing to the cultural unification of the country. In the second paragraph, quoting from significant passages from Mantegazza's works, I have tried to solve the ambiguity concerning the public Mantegazza's pedagogical and hygienic almanacs were addressed to. In conclusion, providing an analysis of Mantegazzia's works, I have traced back the connection Mantegazza made between individual education, domestic education and, on a larger scale, social education.","PeriodicalId":366273,"journal":{"name":"Ricerche di Pedagogia e Didattica. The government pursues the implementation of these competence categories, defined by the OECD project group ‘Definition and Selection of Competencies’ (DeSeCo; OECD 2014), in the context of education policy management measures e.g. in framework guidelines or study programs for educational institutions, starting with kindergarten, through primary and secondary schools to universities. Introductorily the following article shows the understanding of the three competence categories to the educational sciences (1). Secondly, we outline the educational policy context given in Italy and Alto Adige using the prominent topic of inclusion as an example (2). Based on these, some more concrete initial points for professionalization of pedagogical specialists can be outlined (3). In a fourth step the development of the teaching program for the Master of Education in Primary Education at the Free University of Bolzano is given as an example how these elements could be incorporated in an academic teacher training (4). According to the discussion of results of actual teacher education research and university didactics hypotheses on the connections between supply quality and the subjective fit of the students' academic requirements and competences are expressed.","PeriodicalId":366273,"journal":{"name":"Ricerche di Pedagogia e Didattica. Participants (8-10 years) were randomly assigned to an experimental group (EMT, n=14) that performed an extracurricular multilateral training (60 min., 3 sessions per week), or a control group (ST, n=14) that performed a standard school-based physical education program only. Participants physical fitness was assessed by measuring the sit and reach, stork balance stand, standing long jump, and Harre test at baseline and after 8-weeks.The EMT showed significantly (p<0.05) greater improvement than ST group in all fitness tests following training. Results indicate that extracurricular multilateral activities focused on exercises aimed to the development of the conditional and coordinative motor abilities, improve the health- and skill-related components of physical fitness.","PeriodicalId":366273,"journal":{"name":"Ricerche di Pedagogia e Didattica. What contribution can then be made to pedagogy, beyond the most immediate declinations that generally reaffirm the value and centrality of \"training\"? The paper examines three possible variations in the relationship between training and work: education to work, education at work and education through work, recognizing what contributions a pedagogy of work can offer to support individuals and organizations.","PeriodicalId":366273,"journal":{"name":"Ricerche di Pedagogia e Didattica. How is it possible to translate awareness developed during pedagogical counselling and supervision into daily educational experiences? How learning experiences developed in a given context can be translated into situations other than those in which they originated?Starting from these questions, this contribution aims to critically address, on a theoretical and methodological level, the issue of “translating” learning processes achieved during “second-level” training settings into a “first-level” context. We will explore this problem by referring to reflective, sociomaterial and systemic approaches, showing how different epistemological frameworks lead to somewhat heterogeneous outcomes in defining and treating the issue under scrutiny.","PeriodicalId":366273,"journal":{"name":"Ricerche di Pedagogia e Didattica.
