The differences are characteristic for the brittle material such as rock, concrete and others. At present, few constitutive models for rock can reflect the differences. A damage-induced softening model for rock constitutive relations is presented based on statistical strength theory, continuum damage mechanics and elastic mechanics. The model can consider properties of rock mechanics such as strain softening, difference in strength between compression and tension, nonliner stress-strain relation, compressive hardening, brittleness and so on. The model is welladapted, simple and practical as it is flexible and has only 7 parameters which can be easily obtained from uniaxial test under compression and tension. Under triaxial compression, uniaxial compression and uniaxial tension, the stress-strain relations obtained from the presented model are compared with those obtained from laboratory tests. The comparisons show that the differences between results obtained respectively from the presented model and laboratory tests are small. For this purpose, an improved probabilistic neural network for multi-label classification (ML-IPNN) was developed through the following steps. Firstly, the traditional PNN was structurally improved to fit in with multi-label data. Then secondly, a weight matrix was introduced to represent the label correlation and synthetize the information between classes, and the ML-IPNN was trained with the backpropagation mechanism. Finally, the classification results of the ML-IPNN on three common datasets were compared with those of the seven most popular multi-label classification algorithms. The results show that the ML-IPNN outperformed all contrastive algorithms. The multi-agent system (MAS) is a new approach to investigate the real-time decision-making of logistics vehicle scheduling. It satisfies the various requirements of the logistics system, such as the geographical distribution of vehicles, the dynamic changes of information, and the constant changes in consumer orders. In view of the theoretical and practical significance of the MAS, this paper explores the decision-making of logistics vehicle scheduling based on the MAS, and relies on two-level planning modelling method to construct the mathematical model of outsourcing-based container port vehicle scheduling problem. Then, an effectively exchange neighbourhood tabu search algorithm was designed to solve the model. Through the research, it is concluded that the proposed hierarchical decomposition method of logistics distribution task can reduce the overall scheduling difficulty and reduce the actual planning error effectively; the established MAS-based intelligent logistics scheduling model can minimize the total distribution cost through continuous adjustment of resources according to the distribution task. Due to their chemical composition and microstructure providing high strength and thermal resistance as well as high ductility, the machinability of these alloys is difficult, resulting in longer production cycles and higher costs in terms of more frequent replacement of tools. In this paper, the machinability of the super duplex EN 1.4410 was investigated under environmentally friendly machining process by using cold compressed air as a coolant. Experimental data were generated using the range of selected input parameters and correspondingly analysed surface roughness as output data. Predictive models were developed in order to make a comparison of their prediction performance. In addition, this paper also describes the methodology for optimised development of a particular predictive model. The operation times of AVS/RS and AS/RS (automated storage and retrieval system) are simulated in different situations by changing the shelf structure and order density. The results show that the AVS/RS is more efficient than the AS/RS in all situations. Furthermore, the numbers of rows and columns of storage shelves greatly influence the operation time. The graph of operation-time compression ratio against number of columns shows an inverted U-type distribution, and the compression ratio decreases and ultimately tends to zero as the number of rows is increased. Also, the order density affects the efficiency difference between the two systems: the higher the order density, the higher the AVS/RS operatingtime compression rate. Next, the performance of the successful transmission probability (STP) and PSP were discussed through numerical simulation with the above mentioned two strategies. The simulation results show that the PSP is affected by the terminal density, the RX selection strategy, the packet length and the STP; the number of hops mainly depends on the terminal density, the RX selection strategy, the length between the source TX and the destination RX. The model is based on the so called “partition scheme”, in which the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method is used for the fluid and the standard Finite Element Method (FEM), based on shell elements, is used for the structure. Then, the two solvers are coupled to obtain the behaviour of the coupled fluid-structure system. The effects of large displacements and small strains are taken into account in the model for shells. The elasto-plastic material model for the structure (shell), which includes some important nonlinear effects like yielding in compression and tension, is briefly discussed. In this paper, a new three-coil actuator is proposed for the capsule endoscope navigation system. The proposed system, which is based on the currentcontrolled magnetic levitation concept, utilises a small permanent magnet within the capsule body and an arrangement of controlled electromagnet actuator placed on a movable frame. The dynamics of the proposed control system is modelled mathematically and then formulated in state space form. In this research, the Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) technique is used for designing a 3DOF controller for the capsule actuation system. Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) tuning algorithm is used for obtaining optimum values for controller gain parameters. The optimised LQR controller is simulated by using the Matlab/Simulink tool, and its performance is then evaluated based on the stability and control effort parameters to validate the proposed system.
