It is shown that the thermal transition from localized-to-mobile behaviour of the system of dimers is clearly reflected by the characteristic shape of the specific heat vs. temperature curve. According to the present theoretical investigation the maximum in the specific heat curve marking the localized-to-mobile transition generally depends both in position and in height on the values of the energy barriers Wx and Wy along the X- and Y-axes. For substrates with Wx/Wy < 1/4 the single maximum splits into two maxima with different heights. Further, for a given substrate, one obtains qualitatively different specific heat curves (with a single or with two separate maxima) if adsorption of dimers with different length is considered. The physical backgrounds of the problem are elucidated in more detail in the case of ID system. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Spezifische Warmen und damit verbundene thermodynamische Funktionen eines Systems von isolierten zweiatomaren Molekulen, die auf einer periodischen Unterlage adsorbiert sind, werden im Rahmen der klassischen statistischen Mechanik berechnet. Es zeigt sich, das der thermisch bedingte Ubergang vom lokalisierten zum mobilen Zustand der Dimere aus der Temperatursb-hangigkeit der spezifischen Warme deutlich bestimmt werden kann. Die Untersuchung zeigt, das das charakteristische Maximum des Ubergangs von lokalisierter zu mobiler Adsorption sowohl seine Lage als auch Grose mit der Aderung der Energiebarriere der Oberflachendiffusion Wx und Wy in Richtung der X- und Y-Achse betrachtlich andert. Fur Unterlagen mit Wx:Wy < 1/4 spaltet dieses Maximum in zwei Maxima mit verschiedener Hohe auf. Qualitativ unterschiedliche Kurven der spezifischen Warme werden vorausgesagt, wenn Gase aus diatomaren Molekulen mit verschiedener Lange auf ein und derselben Unterlage adsorbiert werden (zwei getrennte Maxima oder nur ein einziges). Post deposition annealing shows an interesting behaviour in the electrical conductivity. The structure of the films is found to improve with substrate temperature and single crystal growth is observed at Ts = 573 K. While the electrical conductivity shows an increasing behaviour with substrate temperature and thickness, the activation energy shows a decreasing trend. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Die elektrische Leitfahigkeit wird in Abhangigkeit von der Schichttemperatur, Substrattemperatur und Dicke an InSb-Schichten untersucht, die auf goldversiegeltem Glas, frisch gespaltenem Glimmer und im Vakuum von 6,7 × 10−4 Pa gespaltenen NaCl-Substraten blitzaufgedampft werden. Eine Temperung nach der Aufbringnng ergibt ein interessantes Verhalten der elektrischen Leitfihigkeit. Es wird gefunden, daB sich die Struktur der Schichten mit der Substrattemperatur ver-bessert und bei Ts = 573 K wird Einkristallwachstum beobachtet. Performance and effective thickness of these detectors are presently limited by carrier trapping which results in incomplete charge collection. Characterization of the trapping levels is performed by several photoelectronic methods (photoconductivity, thermal and optical quenching of the photoconductivity, TSC, lifetime measurement). A model is proposed taking into account the results obtained by these techniques in both, vapor phase and solution grown crystals. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Depuis quelques annees, les detecteurs Hgl2 presentent un interět croissant pour la spectrometric des photons γ et × a la temperature ordinaire. Les performances et l'epaisseur utile de ces detecteurs sont actuellement limitees par des phenomenes de piegeage qui affectent la collecte des charges creees par les photons. La caracterisation des niveaux localises dans la bande interdite, responsable de ce piegeage, a ete menee par differentes methodes photoelectroniques (photoconductivite, quenching thermique et optique de la photoconductivite TSC, mesure de duree de vie). The spectra are found to be composed of different bands, the intensities of which depends strongly on the specimen temperature and on the oxygen partial pressure of the ambient atmosphere during the sintering process. By fitting the obtained spectra with superposed Gaussian curves it is shown that the involved recombination processes can be satisfactorily explained within the configurational coordinate model. Furthermore it is possible to trace back the observed electronic transitions to vacancy luminescence, corroborating existing theories on band schemes, and on dependences of vacancy concentrations on oxygen partial pressure during the sintering. In this way the observed bands may be assigned to transitions in the energy gap of BaTiO3. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Die Kathodolumineszenzeigenschaften von Kristalliten in Bariumtitanat-Keramiken, die unter verschiedenen Sauerstoffpartialdrucken gesintert werden, werden systematisch untersucht. Es kann gezeigt werden, das die Spektren aus verschiedenen Banden bestehen, deren Intensitliten starke Abhangigkeit von der Probentemperatur und voni Sauerstoffpartialdruck der Sinter-atmosphare aufweisen. Durch das Anpassen der erhaltenen Spektren mit superponierten Gaus-kurven wird gezeigt, das die beteiligten Rekombinationsprozesse mit dem Konfigurationskoordi-naten-Modell erklart werden konnen. Ferner ist es moglich, die beobachteten elektronischen Ubergange auf Leerstellenlumineszenz zuruckzufuhren und bestehende Theorien uber Band-schemata und Abhangigkeiten von Leerstellenkonzentrationen vom Sauerstoffpartialdruck wah-rend des Sinterns zu untermauern. All compositions with x > 0.2 with the exception of the dysprosium compounds are ferromagnetic at low temperatures. From hysteresis and initial susceptibility studies, it is concluded that they contain a number of single domain clusters in a paramagnetic matrix. Mossbauer spectra of Ba0.3Nd0.7CoO3 and Ba0.5Dy0.5CoO3 show two resonance lines and that of Sr0.5La0.5CoO3 shows a single line spectrum at all temperatures, and no hyperfine spectra are shown even far below TC. The results are interpreted in terms of short-range magnetic ordering in these systems. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000An MxLn1−x, CoO3,-Verbindungen, wobei M = Ba oder Sr und Ln = La, Nd oder Dy bedeuten, werden magnetische und Mosbaueruntersuchungen durchgefuhrt. Alle Zusammensetzungen mit × > 0,2 mit Ausnahme der Dysprosiumverbindungen sind ferromagnetisch bei tiefen Tempera-turen. Aus den Untersuchungen der Hysteresis und der Anfangssuszeptibilitat wird geschlossen, dar sie eine Anzahl von Ein-Domanenklustern in einer paramagnetischen Matrix enthalten. Die Mosbauerspektren von Ba0,3Nd0,7CoO3 und Ba0,5Dy0,5O3, zeigen zwei Resonanzlinien und die von Sr0,5La0,5CoO3 bei allen Temperaturen ein Ein-Linienspektrum und bis weit unterhalb Tc werden keine Hyperfeinspektren beobachtet. It is shown that as the phosphorus vapour pressure increases (pP ≦ 10−3 Pa) the conductivity decreases and paramagnetic centres with g = 2.0055 disappear. The temperature dependence of the dark conductivity and EPR data permit the conclusion that the phosphorus doping by vacuum evaporation technique enables one to decrease the localized state density in a-Si down to 1017 cm−3 eV−1. With a further increase of pP (> 10−3 Pa) the n-type conductivity appears. The maximum value of σ is 10−3 (Ω cm)−1, though the phosphorus concentration in a-Si:P ranges from 1019 to 3 × 1022 cm−3. Taking into account surface effects and magnetostrictive contributions to the coercive field it is possible to separate different coercive field contributions and to predict the value and the conditions for obtaining minimum coercive field. In this paper the effects of the quenching rate on spin quenched ribbons are measured.\u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 Die Koerzitivfeldstarke schwachmagnetostriktiver amorpher Legierungen wird vorwiegend durch die Abschreckbedingungen, Relaxationsprozesse und die Oberflachenrauhigkeit bestimmt. Unter Berucksichtigung von Oberflacheneffekten und magnetostriktiven Beitragen ist eine Trennung der verschiedenen Anteile der Koerzitivfeldstarke und eine Vorhersage des kleinsten Koerzitivfeldes moglich.
