There is a barrage on Indo-Nepal border at Bhim Nagar, Birpur in Supaul District of Bihar, Inia.Kosi River was devastating before it was tamed.In eighteen century it was flowing near Purnea town and shifted westward, now flowing near Supaul. It shifted about 120 km westward in 275 years. This river is formed by the confluence of seven small streams flowing through Tibet a Nepal. These seven streams are – Indravati, Tamar Kosi, likhu Kosi, Doodh Kosi, Arun Kosi and Tama Kosi. It travels about 729 kms from source to confluence with Ganga in Kurshela. The location of breach point was 13 m upstream from barrage. The river was flowing in three streams. Technical experts decided to construct three coffer dams to retrain the three streams into one and bring back the river river in main channel. it was on 24th Janurary,2008 on which the main flow of Kosi was stopped through bridge and diverted towards barrage through pilot channel. The barrage again stated functioning.","PeriodicalId":354866,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Science And Engineering","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123933806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Maneuverability is influenced by the ship's steering system which also affects the rolling stability of the ship. Rolling stability control plays an important role in the ship that can return the ship to its normal state in response to sea wave disruption, where Rudder roll is able to control the heading until the rolling motion is reduced. The disturbance used is a sea state 1 and sea state 7 in wave linear disturbances. The higher the level of interference, the longer the rolling stability reaches the steady state. The stability performance of rudder roll stabilization system has been in accordance with existing stability parameters. The maneuverability of the rudder roll stabilization system with 200 heading has an advanced distance of 275 meters in diameter.","PeriodicalId":354866,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Science And Engineering","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124347603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These phones operate with batteries that provide the necessary electrical power. The batteries’ stored energy often got used up; and the conventional electrical power charging sources like public power supply, generating sets, solar devices among others are not only unreliable but most times totally unavailable in some villages and camp settlements. There was then the need to produce simple, inexpensive and easily accessible battery chargers for the phones. This paper therefore studies and analyses the performance of a locally-made, off-grid and renewable energy power phone charger. The device output voltage, current and hence power has been tested at varying degrees of temperatures. Finally it was tested with different heat sources like, charcoals, Gas- burner, kerosene stove, wood stove, and Camp and Barbecue fires for heat source efficiencies. The results prove that charcoals and gas-burner heat sources are the most efficient heat source for operating the heat-smart- phone charger.","PeriodicalId":354866,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Science And Engineering","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123592403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, the basic forming principle of traditional stator flux vector locus of circular and hexagonal is analyzed.And then, a new stator flux linkage setting method based on rotor position and dynamic current mode is proposed.The new stator flux linkage method is applied to the direct torque control system of Brushless DC motor.Theoretical analysis shows that the given flux linkage trajectory is consistent with the expected reference value, the torque ripple is smaller. Increasing the surface area of heat exchanger results in enhanced heat transfer. In the current study double pipe heat exchanger was simulated using ANSYS Fluent simulator program. The fins were added to the outer surface of the inner pipe and the geometries studied were, rectangular, triangular and leaf shaped. Water outlet temperature of the heat exchanger was studied with mass flow rates of 0.20 kg/s, 0.24 kg/s and 0.28 kg/s. It was determined that with increase in mass flow rate the outlet temperature of cold water decreased. Higher outlet temperature of cold water was obtained with leaf fins as compared to rectangular, triangular and without-fin cases at mass flow rates of 0.20 kg/s and 0.24 kg/s. The percentage differences in temperature gradient seem to vary with change in mass flow rate. It is shown from the study that the length of heat exchanger with fins could be reduced to half to achieve about 90% of the temperature gradient.","PeriodicalId":354866,"journal":{"name":"EPH - International Journal of Science And Engineering","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133417155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
