The purpose of the research is to establish what knowledge about folklore characters is reflected in Scottish toponymy, and what nomination mechanisms are involved in their development. The article deals with Scottish toponyms containing the names of geographical objects, and names of folklore characters. The source of empirical material is Scottish toponymic dictionaries, works of foreign researchers and Internet resources. The methods of searching for particular toponymic units, cognitive matrix, lexico-semantic and etymological analysis, as well as cultural analysis are used to accomplish the purpose. in the course of the research we considered toponyms, the internal form of which contains the names of giants Saxa and Herman and the names of mythical creatures – faeries, boggles and brownies. In the cognitive bases of the considered toponyms there is cognitive context folklore characters and characteristics of the concept of place: inhabitant, quality and event. The place-names are formed through metaphorical and metonymic transfers. the cognitive bases of the considered toponyms reflect such knowledge about folklore characters as their habitat, abilities of folklore characters and related actions and events occurring at the place. Chekhov. The relevance is due to the problem of rejection of society from the Church in the second half of the XIX century. The purpose of the study is to show the features of the image of church life in the works of art by A.P. Chekhov. With the help of tables, the types of clergymen and their assessment by the writer and his characters are demonstrated. The relationship between secular society and the clergy that developed in the second half of the 19th century is considered. In the writer’s work, it is impossible to single out negative, positive or transitional types of clergy, since often the assessment of one or another clergyman by one of the characters and/or a group of persons in the narrative is subjective, which cannot be said about the narrator, whose assessment is often positive and sympathetic. The conclusions made by protopresbyter Alexander Schmemann in a lecture recorded on audiotape in the 1970s are analyzed and substantiated. in San Francisco. It is concluded that only A.P. These areas occupied a central place in V.G. Rudelev’s studies. We analyze Professor V.G. Rudelev’s doctrine about the sentence from the standpoint of his phonological views. The object of the study is the syntactic doctrine of V.G. Rudelev, represented by his reasoning about the sentence. The methodology of the material study is based on the oppositional method, which allows us to see the possibilities of its application to explain the universal nature of the information-theoretic approach to the study of different areas of linguistic knowledge. Neutralization in its phonological understanding is used as a linguistic mechanism in describing the relationship between different types of sentences. The use of phonological mechanism of neutralization allows V.G. Rudelev to identify the relationship between simple and complex sentences. In the system of complex sentences, he comes to the conclusion that hypotaxis is marked in relation to parataxis. In the system of simple sentences, the main attention is paid to the analysis of verbal and interjectional sentences. The oppositional method allowed V.G. Rudelev to come to the conclusion about the marking of syllabic sentences and, based on neutralization, about their higher linguistic rank, “weight” in human speech activity. We express our attitude to the consideration of the doctrine of sentence in the aspect of phonology. The considered V.G. Rudelev's doctrine about the sentence in the aspect of his phonological views allows us to see and comprehend the relationships in syntax in a dynamic way. This is most clearly demonstrated by the use of the phonological concept of neutralization in syntax. It is emphasized that the writer’s work the of the twentieth century Sergeev-Tsensky was written as a pedagogical parting word to future generations and as a call to cherish and study their native Russian language, to cherish the Russian word on the material of the “genius of artistic expression” Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol. The stylistic and poetic findings of the writer in various stories, in the poem “Dead Souls” and in the dramatic work – the comedy “The Government Inspector” are considered. The ways of creating a literary portrait and landscape, the language system means in depicting the psychological details of the portrait and landscape characteristics of comic heroes (on the example of the portrait of Sobakevich), as well as the speech characteristics of the “The Government Inspector” are investigated. Attention is drawn to Gogol’s techniques of “style play” and some deliberate violations of lexical norms in the construction of portrait characteristics in order to emphasize very significant psychological details. As an addition to Sergeev-Tsensky’s reasoning, the specifics of Gogol’s descriptiveness in the real and the fantastic synthesis are specified on the example of significant details, for example, the story “Viy” from the “Mirgorod” cycle. Each event that is relevant, albeit for a limited circle of people, becomes known momentarily and can be broadcast to unlimited territories. Such possibilities of communication channels have actualized the problem of spreading unreliable, fake information, since its creators understand the effectiveness of textual information on the audience, first of all. The need to resist the dominance of fake information is recognized at the state level. In recent years, the current legislation has been tightened; the purpose of the innovations is to suppress attempts to spread fakes and punish if facts of their publication in the media are revealed, in particular, in cases where deliberately false information is disseminated containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the state and its citizens, maintain international peace and security. Interest in the facts of the dissemination of false information by the scientific community is intensified; thus, a lot of scientific and popular science works devoted to this issue are found, thematic conferences are held on this topic. Do not stand aside the media, which report on the facts broadcast on other channels of fake news. As a result, a lot of materials are published about the disclosure of the facts of the publication of fakes. However, updating the problem at different levels is not enough, it is important to consolidate the efforts of society in countering the dominance of fakes in the media. Both similarities in the social communications of Russia and Turkey, and differences are noted: globalization has led to similarities in the topics of social advertising, tools to influence the audience, while the cultural code of countries, the population mentality have led to a number of communication differences, including in anti-COVID social advertising. The functional dynamics of social advertising in this period is noted: from educational to persuasive and inciting. Among the most common polycode tools of influence used in social advertising of coronavirus issues, the following are highlighted: visual images of typical characters, color, number, testemonium (celebrity participation), metaphorical modeling techniques, etc. Particular attention is paid to the frustration communication strategy, its tactics and techniques as one from the basic mechanisms for ensuring the effectiveness of social advertising texts. In addition, role model use of a responsible citizen who takes care of compliance with restrictions, self-isolation, is vaccinated, and does everything to stop the spread of the disease has become specific to social advertising of the coronavirus theme. The empirical research material for the work was the corpus of journalistic materials of the Belgorod regional youth magazine “OnOnas” for the period from 2013 to 2021. The relevance of the study lies in the need to theorize valuable empirical material and classify non-verbal methods of infotainment in relation to the practice of print media. The relevance and novelty of the study are also due to the insufficient study of the phenomenon of infotainment in relation to the practice of regional print media, since modern researchers still maintain a stable association of infotainment with television practices to the detriment of other types of media. The methods used in the course of the study include a system analysis with an emphasis on a constructive and structural-functional approach, and the typology method is also used. Shukshin in China on the data first systematization basis on the publication of translations of the writer’s works into Chinese. The periodization of the reception of his work in the PRC is proposed, the reasons for the translations of V.M. Shukshin in China. The purpose of the study is a translations history systematic analysis of works by V.M. Shukshin in China, as well as determining the status and writer’s works role translated into Chinese in modern Chinese literature. For this purpose, we collect translations of the works of V.M. Shukshin into Chinese and the translator’s assessment of V.M. Shukshin. The sociological, cultural-historical method and statistical data are used, diagrams and tables are given to clearly and in detail show the translation of the works of V.M. Shukshin into Chinese. From these diagrams and tables one can see the translation of V.M. Shukshin in China and the perception specific process. The analysis results the show that the works of V.M. Shukshin were widely translated in China, and not only stories, but also screenplays and some of his journalistic articles were published in Chinese, works that are popular with Chinese readers and scholars. V.M. Shukshin is known in China as a writer, producer and actor. The results of this study can be practically useful for further research in China on the work of V.M. The theoretical foundations and heuristic possibilities of the ontological approach are demonstrated on the example of empirical research into the psychological problems of novice journalists. Professional identity is considered not as an externally set standard, but as a psychological attitude spontaneously formed in real life, which is found in the deep structure of respondents’ anxiety. In order to identify the most common psychological problems faced by novice journalists, a survey of journalism students is conducted. Based on the subjective assessments of the respondents, a ranking of the most frequently occurring anxiety is compiled. The limited resolving power of self-reports frequency processing is shown in comparison with multivariate analysis, which allows us to move from the realized anxiety’ level to the anxiety underlying determinants level. In the course of factor analysis, the main components of professional identity as an individual-personal and collective attitude are identified. The interrelation between the identity components and ontological properties of a journalist is shown. Using non-parametric criteria for comparing samples, the influence of the place of training on the intensity of anxiety anxiety is demonstrated. The origins and features of the genre, which originated from the printed essay, are analyzed. We consider the types of videos, as well as the verbal and non-verbal methods used in them to convey information to the viewer. It has been established that the widespread use of the global network and multimedia technologies opens up opportunities for content creators to increase the user base and increase its involvement. New ways of designing broadcast information messages are emerging. The advent of electronic devices is facilitating the discovery of new ways of presenting information and interacting with audiences that were not previously possible in the traditional printed genres of film criticism. Modern software and technologies allow a wide range of authors to use editing as an effective method for explaining the thesis chosen for their work. Visual images have acquired a dominant role in presenting material. Social networks and comment sections on popular video hosting sites allow you to receive feedback from viewers, and also create a previously impossible connection between a film critic and his audience.
