The legal basis of Ta’zir punishment is from the Holy Qur’an, the Prophetic Hadiths, the consensus of the Muslim community, and personal reasoning.\u0000In Islamic Sharia, there are many types of Ta’zir punishments, which range from advice up to execution, in consideration of the public order and interests of the community. In Ta’zir punishments, the determination of a sentence for the offender is subject to the authority and ability of the judge, and is specified in consideration of the interests and support of the community, along with the circumstances of the offense, the corrective effect of the sentence, and the character and criminal record of the offender. Many philosophies to legitimize disciplinary punishments, such as protecting humanity’s life and interests, reducing the magnitude of crime in society, and the correction and punishment of offenders are also incorporated.\u0000Ta’zir punishment has some unique characteristics, which include the indefiniteness of penalties, whereby the lawmaker’s authority and ability to punish is delegated to judges. Not only may the judge forgive the offender, but the personality and criminal record of the offender are also considered in determining the punishment. Because many people in Afghan society do not understand the concept of Ta’zir punishment, how they are applied, and how they are specified, so this Article is designed to help resolve these issues.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121775792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper hypothesize that the passive voice construction is not preserved during the process of translation from English to Arabic. In conclusion according to the analysis of the samples most of the translators use active voice instead of the passive voice in translating the statements that is due to the fact that the complexity of Arabic language differs from that of the English language, both languages differ in culture and norms and follows different grammar. This study provides an overview on translating passive voice forms from English to Arabic using Obama's presidential speeches. This paper serves as a valuable resource for analyzing passive voice constructions, developing translation strategies, and evaluating translation outcomes. It is expected to contribute to the field of translation studies and enhance understanding of the complexities involved in translating between these two languages. It attempts to present a valuable addition to a topic in need of more relevant information.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123985892","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study relied on conducting two processes of analysis and testing on the Bank of Baghdad of the Iraqi private banking sector for the purpose of determining the extent of its success, survival, growth and continuity in its work environment or failure. It included the financial and statistical analyzes of its data for the period from (2014-2022). After completing the two analyzes and testing, a number of conclusions were drawn up, the most prominent of which was the existence of a good significant relationship between the two variables (financial leverage and prediction of financial failure). The study came out with it, perhaps the most important of which are two basic aspects: the first is the need for banks to adopt plans that work to cover their credit activities in an efficient manner that works to make the most of their assets and that they do not use financial leverage except within certain limits (when exposed to financial hardship) that would reduce their fixed costs and generate It has profits to cover the resulting interests of loans and advances and to obtain profits for its permanence and growth in the work environment, and if it expands in the public debt, it will lead to failure, and the second is that its plans include using the aforementioned model to know the strength or weakness of its credit position to be remedied.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136241285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The general concept and purpose of rhetorical devices are commonly shared between English and Arabic; yet, the subclassifications and branches of rhetoric as a unique discipline are not equal. Their mismatch makes the assessment of rendering those concerned devices in the text thorny and not quite an easy task. In addition, the study sheds light on the act of translating such texts taking into account how the aesthetic value and equivalent effect are maintained in the TLTs. The study hypothesizes that translating rhetorical devices is a thorny task to translators, due to their different types. Also, translators are not consistent with certain methods of translation as far as rendering such rhetorical devices is concerned. The model adopted to make the translation quality assessment is that of Reiss (1971/2000) who submits a thorough method of assessment and considers text type a focal point in conducting a specific approach to translation. As for procedure and data collection concerning this study, (5) texts compising metonymic expressions have been selected to be analyzed and discussed in accordance with criteria of the model adopted. The study comes up with certain concluded points which almost verify the relevent hypotheses of the study.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136162286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article shows how the novel succeeds in raising the thorny questions of identity and imagined native homelands as they are well-known today. The latter questions also result in scenes of identity fetishism and strict-mindedness that the novel openly challenges. Through the use of satire, Kureishi exposes the dangers of exclusive identity and strict clinging to one’s homeland and heritage in a globalized, metropolitan space of London. The novel is also critical of the legacies of Orientalism, an ideology and a prism that views ‘Others’ as backward, uncivilsed and threat to a deemed pure identity. The article also stresses that questions of immigration and immigrants will remain an enduring concern for coming decades in metropolitan spaces and contexts. This attests to the fact that novels are not simply works of pure imagination without any reflection of actual problems and phenomena.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127018034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
