In the patriarchal society that we live in, we witness the Macho Man subduing and exploiting Woman and Nature alike, for the gratification of his Need and Greed. Women and Nature are both creators and nurturers. The inherent feminity in a Woman is as much mirrored in Nature. It is this ethereal connection that a Woman and Nature share that Ecofeminists have seeked to establish and popularize. Ecofeminism originated from the idea that various forms of repression are interlinked, they follow the same pattern and hierarchy be it the human world or the natural world. Ecofeminists believe that until and unless Man unlearns this habit, the exploitation of women and destruction of nature won’t cease. Environmental Degradation leads to the erosion of Human Rights as well because we need a healthy environment to survive and realize our potential. Devastation of the ecology and economic iniquity go hand in hand. We have had forest land, tribal reserves being usurped by the powers that be, in the name of development and progress. There are many accounts of strife and revolt against the repressive tendencies of the state and private organizations. Women have been invariably in the forefront of such struggles, for the preservation of their own identity as well as the conservation of Nature. The human tendency to ignore the rights of other constituents that make up this natural world is the root cause of the conundrum mankind is in today. Literature, be it fiction or non-fiction mirrors life in myriad ways. This paper intends to collate Ecofeminist excerpts from literary works and real life struggles to conjure up a montage that reinforces womankind’s intimate bond with nature.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121751484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The group we are going to monitor is, as far as the Spanish university system is concerned, on average: more than sixty students, with diverse backgrounds and unequal proficiency in English. In such conditions, the teacher must be very attentive to meet the needs of all students/learners and, at the same time, keep track of successes and failures in the designed study plans. One of the most notable reasons for subject/class failure and dropout, in a scenario such as the one described, is the performance and time dedication to written competence (Cabrera, 2014 & López Urdaneta, 2011). Consequently, we will explore whether the union of all the theoretical baggage that underpins the linguistic and pedagogical tradition of Error Analysis, one of the most notable tools for enhancing the writing competence of English as a Foreign Language, and new intelligent technologies can provide new perspectives and strategies to effectively help learners of English as a Foreign Language to produce more appropriate written texts (more natural outputs) and, at the same time, to check whether an AI-assisted Error Analysis-based assessment produces better results in error avoidance and rule application in the collected writing samples.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"242 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121477221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article examines the potential for Islamic meanings within Robert Herrick's poem \"To Daffodils\" through post-structuralist and intertextual lenses of literary analysis. The study employs the tenets of post-structuralism to explore the poem's thematic significance in relation to Islam. The analysis takes into account the temporal context of Herrick's 17th century era and the emergence of secularism, as well as the notion of the universality of Islam. The study concludes that the poem serves as a powerful reminder of the transient nature of human life, which is also a central theme in Islamic ethos. Herrick's work can be seen as an exemplar of Islamic knowledge, which imparts messages to humans about the temporality of life and its purposes and its eventual end. This article highlights the importance of Islamic reading of Herrick’s literature conveying important messages about the human condition and the significance of contemplating the ephemeral nature of life.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132570794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Historically, disabled individuals have been underrepresented and depicted in stereotypical ways, but graphic novels have challenged these narratives by offering authentic portrayals that humanize disabled characters. In the context of COVID-19, graphic novels provide a platform to address the intersectionality of disability and the pandemic, highlighting issues such as limited healthcare access, social isolation, and the impact of public health policies. These novels also explore themes of resilience, adaptation, and the triumph of the human spirit, showcasing disabled characters overcoming obstacles and utilizing their strengths and capabilities. Moreover, graphic novels have the potential to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and foster empathy and understanding among readers. By amplifying the voices of disabled creators, these novels contribute to a more inclusive literary landscape, challenging traditional narratives that have marginalized disabled individuals. Overall, graphic novels offer a unique opportunity to represent the experiences of disabled individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting social change and advocating for a more compassionate and equitable society.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129304609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rahman","doi":"10.55544/ijrah.3.4.6","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.55544/ijrah.3.4.6","url":null,"abstract":"This article aims at giving an overview on the whole romantic period. The start of the romantic period, the way it happened, the poets that helped to make this period shine, the background of the poets and the details of the romantic poetry that ruled this era – all of the aspects are described very elaborately in this article. The romantic age was established at the end of the eighteenth century and it lasted up to the 30’s of the nineteenth century. This romantic period replaced the neoclassical period where the classical poets like Alexander Pope made classical poetry famous among readers. Elements such as imagination, emotion, nature were used very passionately in the romantic poetry. There are more than four poets who wrote romantic poems in this period but only the life and poetry of the significant four poets are written in this article who was William Wordsworth, Samuel Coleridge, John Keats, P. B Shelley. Wordsworth and Coleridge were the very first influencers of the romantic period. Wordsworth portrayed nature very artistically with his imagination in his poems. He wrote poems to pleasure the feelings of the common people. His close friend, Coleridge was influenced by some early politic affairs, his master James bowers and poet William Bowles to write romantic poetry. His investigation of the human nature through his poems made his poems very relatable. John Keats came after Wordsworth and Coleridge in this era. He upheld beauty and imagination frequently in his writing and shared the importance of his created term ‘negative capability.’ P.B Shelley differed from the other romantic poets by giving some importance to logic. He cared about morality and good lessons in his poems. He also portrayed melancholy very beautifully with his pen. This article will guide people in knowing even the little things of the romantic era.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123730349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It addresses the problem encountered in the study, and this approach belongs to the methodologies associated with the humanities and social sciences. The researcher followed a descriptive and analytical methodology in conducting this research, utilizing library resources, relying on primary books and relevant scientific articles to crystallize the concept of the analytical approach. This research is one of the few fundamental studies in terms of purpose and methodology. Its data analysis method is qualitative, based on logic and content analysis to observe and analyze the phenomenon by presenting its elements and concepts. \u0000This study revealed that the analytical approach is one of the most important methodologies in Islamic sciences, especially among scholars of prophetic traditions. Therefore, their critical and explanatory work is clearly based on a systematic methodology, particularly the analytical approach they heavily rely on. The methodology of scholars in analyzing narrations includes examining both the chain of narrators and the text. Through an examination of the analysis methodologies of hadith critics, it was found that analysis focuses on two significant aspects: studying the circumstances, behaviors, and beliefs of narrators, and analyzing the content of the narrations to determine the reliability of the narrator. \u0000The analytical approach is one of the methodologies associated with the humanities and social sciences. By this, we mean sciences that rely on rules or frameworks to analyze phenomena, such as religious sciences, linguistic sciences, political sciences, legal sciences, economic sciences, and others. Through an examination of the analysis methodologies of hadith critics, it was found that analysis focuses on two significant aspects: studying the circumstances, behaviors, and beliefs of narrators, as well as examining the methods of reception and performance, where they utilize the experimental analytical approach. Additionally, they consider the uniqueness of a narrator in narrating a specific narration and the deviation of trustworthiness from other trustworthy narrators. Moreover, analyzing the content of the narrations to determine the reliability of the narrator is also undertaken.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122068542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It starts with analyzing Fatima Mernissi’s the Forgotten Queens of Islam to refute the belief that Muslim women were never political leaders and can never be. Then, it examines the perspective of the Party for Justice and Development toward the engagement of women as leaders since the latter is a party with an Islamic background leading the Moroccan government from 2011 to 2021. Finally, the research investigates the Moroccan school programs’ representation of women as politicians in history and civic education from the fourth to the ninth grade. This study is urgent because it attempts to understand why Moroccan women are still uncapable of reaching higher political positions though the efforts Morocco is taking to facilitate their integration into politics. The feminist political approach is used in this article since it is concerned with critiquing inequality and political subordination of women while the content analysis method is utilized in investigating the reasons why women are not engaged as political leaders. The research concludes that the Moroccan sociopolitical conditions directly contribute in hindering women from reaching higher political positions.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"70 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120844082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ramprasad, Manohara","doi":"10.55544/ijrah.3.4.1","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.55544/ijrah.3.4.1","url":null,"abstract":"This research paper aims to critically evaluate the epistemic value of astrology in comparison to other scientific disciplines. Astrology has long been a subject of fascination and controversy due to its claims of predicting human behavior and destiny based on celestial positions and relationships. However, its credibility as a scientific field remains a topic of intense debate. The study employs a comparative analysis approach to assess the highness of astrology in relation to other well-established sciences. By examining key criteria such as empirical evidence, testability, falsifiability, explanatory power, and predictive capacity, we aim to determine the epistemic strength of astrology relative to other scientific disciplines. Our findings reveal that astrology falls short in meeting the rigorous standards of scientific inquiry when compared to disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, and psychology. The lack of empirical evidence supporting astrological claims, combined with the inability to generate reliable and consistent predictions, limits its validity as a scientific field. In contrast, other sciences have demonstrated significant advancements through experimental verification, peer review, and the development of robust theories and models. They have consistently produced reliable results, contributed to technological advancements, and expanded our understanding of the natural world. While astrology may hold cultural and historical significance, its highness in the realm of science remains questionable. This study emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning when evaluating scientific claims. Furthermore, it highlights the need for rigorous scientific methodologies in distinguishing between pseudoscience and legitimate scientific disciplines.","PeriodicalId":338928,"journal":{"name":"Integrated Journal for Research in Arts and Humanities","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133182410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
