Foreign investments very often represent the primary source of financing for certain world economies, and the struggle for financial resources, which are limited, is becoming greater. Many countries have a planned approach to this process, and make huge efforts to attract foreign investors. For this reason, it is necessary to systematically approach this research problem, and to create adequate strategies for attracting foreign investments. When it comes to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding countries, the competition to attract foreign investments between them is getting tougher. Each of the neighboring countries has its own competitive advantages, and with an adequate set of incentive measures, it can achieve a significant inflow of foreign investments. {"title":"The ethics of rebellion in Miroslav Krleža's The Great Master of All Scoundrels","authors":"Goran Korunović","doi":"10.5937/bastina33-42477","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5937/bastina33-42477","url":null,"abstract":"The paper interpreted the formation of the phenomenon of rebellion in Krleža's novella The Great Master of All Scoundrels. The focus of the interpretation was the inner transformation of the main character, Ljubo Kraljević. The trajectory of his consciousness was analyzed, from the refusal of responsibility for social events to the ambivalent state that unites the revolutionary ethos and the state of impotence. In this transformation of the main protagonist's consciousness, an important role plays the typical expressionistic visionary state of the subject. A special aspect of the interpretation represents the examination of the ethical implications of the main character's rebellious standpoint. Ljubo Kraljević places himself in the center of the decentralized modern world and, after paranoid states, at the end of the novella he comes to the idea of \"divine violence\", at the same time not leaving the position of a victim of the social order. The historical context, therefore, is important for the goals of recontextualizing the mentioned monuments as well as the continuity of church life. As the thesis was presented that the mentioned two churches belong to the Middle Byzantine period, this issue becomes significant for the assessment of the continuity of Christian culture in the area of Crna Reka. All this points to the need for additional research through archaeological excavations, as well as the historical contextualization of the subject of research. {"title":"The practice of drinking from the 'tea' glass in Ibarski Kolašin","authors":"A. Pavlovic","doi":"10.5937/bastina32-36655","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5937/bastina32-36655","url":null,"abstract":"In this paper the author pays attention to the practice of drinking from big rakija, the so-called \"tea\" glass, distributed among the Serbs in Ibarski Kolašin. This act the author observes as an aspect of culture which Serbs from Ibarski Kolašin perceive as an element of their tradition, while the emphasis in the paper is on the subjective side of the researched phenomenon, what means that attention is focused on understanding the way in which its immediate bearers think and speak about it. The idea of the author, in other words, was to try to replace the classic ethnographic description of drinking from the \"tea\" glass, which would be given from the \"outside\", from the researcher's point of view, with the approach in which the emphasis would be on personal descriptions of the mentioned practice, given from the point of view of its concrete bearers. The analytical procedure applied in achieving the set goal was based on an anthropologically key perspective, and that is the emic perspective, or view from the \"inside\", which means that, methodologically speaking, the author had used the qualitative approach, primarily the conversation with interlocutors. In this way, the author obtained the narrative material, which he transcribed, systematized, selected, and then transferred to the paper in an effort to present it in its original form, as it was noted in direct contact with interlocutors. The exodus experienced by the Serbs at that time was best expressed by the artist through his own creative expression. A representative example is the work Two headed forbids prayer (Dvoglavoruša zabranjuje molitvu), from Djuza's Hvostan art cycle. {"title":"Free direct and free indirect speech in the novel 'De bello civili' by Svetislav Basara and their translation equivalents in English","authors":"Jelena Rajović, Marija Vešović","doi":"10.5937/bastina32-34180","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5937/bastina32-34180","url":null,"abstract":"Most of the research studies on the translation equivalents of the direct and indirect speech were dealing with translations from English to Serbian language. In this paper, we investigate whether structural and/or stylistic movements occur when the free direct and free indirect speech (and their subtypes) are translated from Serbian language to English language. Novel De bello civili by Svetislav Basara is used as a research corpus. Almost all types of direct and indirect speech are present in the novel. Events in the novel take place very quickly, since the plot of the novel takes place in one day, reminding us how substantial the events of a single day can be. The events in the reality of fiction and events in the inner world of protagonists are mixed here, and hence the dominance of free direct speech. The research led to conclusion that forms in free indirect speech in English and Serbian language share most of the features (require context, use of past verb tenses, use of speech verbs and thoughts verbs that can be used in the main sentence etc), except for the sequence of tenses that is inherent in English and not in Serbian language. Since free direct speech does not include the shift of tenses, the examples of this type of reported speech are almost identical in both languages. Given that the narrator of the novel is at the same time the leading protagonist whose words are communicated, there is the omission of prenominal focalization, and there are cases when it is difficult to distinguish the free direct speech from free indirect speech. This implies the omission of author's speech and orthographic markers, which may impose a problem during translation. From the given examples, it can be seen that in some cases the translator was not guided by the Serbian language, in terms of following and communicating the reported speech. Although the free indirect speech is more flexible category in the Serbian language (Karavesović 2010), when translating into English there is often a problem of transferring all stylistic features. Following the rule of the sequence of tenses that is inherent in the English language, but not in Serbian, the translator diminishes the actuality achieved by the use of the free indirect speech in the original. The survey was conducted on a sample of 73 teachers from the municipality of Leposavić and Kosovska Mitrovica in the course of 2019. The survey technique led to the results of this research. The subject of research is the empirical verification of the representation of popular music creativity of Kosovo and Metohija in the teaching process. The research is aimed at understanding the factors that influence the representation of national musical creativity of Kosovo and Metohija in teaching music and physical education in elementary grades. The survey results indicated that as very important contexts in solving problems of education of folk dances and songs through objects music culture and physical education an important place in the curriculum or folk dances and songs from Kosovo and Metohija, regardless of the value that they have not underrepresented in class music and physical education. The research indicated that teachers do not know enough basic music features of folk songs and dances from this region. On the other hand they are aware of the importance of applying these facilities in the preservation of national and cultural identity of the nation. The main reasons for this are, in the opinion of teachers, lack of relevant literature and teaching aids.
