The economic nature of foreign economic operations is substantiated, namely, the knowledge of the economic essence of taxation of foreign economic operations is deepened in terms of defining the concept of payment for customs clearance services as payment for access of foreign producers to domestic markets; the theoretical foundations of the process of state regulation of foreign economic operations are summarized, the process of regulation of foreign economic operations is analyzed using the views of economists. A classification of interrelated components of taxation of foreign economic operations has been formed with the selection of internal and external factors, with the help of which the state will influence the formation of the structure and directions of development of foreign economic activity. In this context, it is proposed to divide taxes on foreign economic transactions into two categories of internal and external taxes, which, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, are charged to the budget during foreign economic transactions. In the process of research, the economic significance of the customs duty was deepened and it was determined that, unlike other indirect taxes, which primarily aim at fiscal goals, the customs duty is an instrument of financial regulation of the country's economy, namely, it stimulates inefficient domestic production and performs other functions for the development of foreign trade. The living standard of the population is one of the main socio-economic categories that not only characterizes the material well-being of a person, but determines the overall result of the country's economy for a certain period as well. Satisfaction of needs has always been a vital condition of people's life. Material well-being with the income as focal point is a key factor in the population living standard analysis. All people work for the sake of obtaining an income that satisfies their needs, and, under favorable conditions – enjoy saving some income, investing in assets, being engaged in charity. The amount of income is often insufficient to meet the most important human needs. Currently, the majority of Ukrainians live below the poverty line, and the skilled workforce has emigrated abroad. Therefore, there arises the need for state regulation of wages, for reducing the disparity in income between the rich and the poor, for searching other sources of income for the population. The issue of the formation of incomes has been studied by many outstanding scientists, but the issue of formation of the population income as one of the factors of the population well-being has not lost its relevance and needs further study and research. The income of the population is one of the population welfare factors determining the level of their life activity. Periodicals, scientific papers, Internet sources, statistical information, scientific and methodical literature make the information base of the research. A scatter diagram of population incomes distribution in the world's countries by average annual growth rates wages and GDP per capita, correlation-regression model dependencies between average annual growth rates of GDP per capita and salary is used as one of the research methods. The economic-mathematical, calculation-constructive and correlation-regression methods were used in the study was well. Incomes of the population are the main source of satisfying their needs for consumer goods and services, and the level of population life quality is measured in quantity and quality of goods that they can purchase with their incomes. the quality of housing conditions and medical services depend on the income level. Strategic investment planning is an effective tool for solving this problem. At the present stage, implementation of investment strategy at enterprises is limited mainly by real investments. But with the development of the global investment market, the potential of enterprises to increase their efficiency through expansion of investment activity is growing considerably. The investment strategy is the basic plan of the enterprise’s activities in the field of its investment activity, which defines the priorities of its directions and forms, the nature of investment resources formation and the sequence of stages of realization of long-term investment goals that ensure effective development of the enterprise. The process of formation of investment strategy was considered at LLC ASTARTA-Kyiv, one of the largest vertically integrated agro-industrial holdings of Ukraine. The activities of which have a significant impact on the social development of the population and the environment. That is why, in order to support sustainable environment and community welfare, the company applies and constantly improves sustainable agricultural practices aimed at mitigating climate change, protecting the environment and investing in social protection of people in regions where its own assets are concentrated. It has been proved that in determining the economic efficiency of measures from investments of Astarta-Kyiv LLC it is necessary to take into account the effect in all forms of development: Increase of profit of farms, decrease of production costs, improvement of quality of environment, decrease of consumption of natural resources, increase of living standards of population, decrease of disease, improvement of working conditions and rest of employees. The impact of endogenous and exogenous factors on the functioning of enterprises in the agricultural sector is considered. Attention is drawn to indicators of diagnostics of the financial condition of agricultural enterprises. The main reasons that led to the increase in the share of unprofitable enterprises, the deterioration of the indicators of the financial activity of agricultural enterprises and created the prerequisites for the development of crisis phenomena were established. The main reason for the increase in the production cost of agricultural enterprises in the current conditions has been revealed. Emphasis is placed on the importance of timely identification of a financial crisis’ signs and identification of a crisis situation causes through the implementation of anti-crisis financial management at enterprises. The most used methods of determining the integral indicator of the probability of bankruptcy were studied. Emphasis is placed on the use of discriminant models for rapid diagnostics of exiting the financial crisis of enterprises in the process of anti-crisis financial management. The probability of bankruptcy was determined based on the case of the largest agricultural enterprise in Ukraine - PRJSC \"MHP\" on the basis of foreign and domestic methods of discriminant analysis, namely, the models: Altman, Taffler, determination of the level of viability of the enterprise, Tereshchenko, Matviychuk. Attention is paid to models of discriminant analysis using indicators of profitability level and those where profit is not a primary indicator in calculations. It was found that not all bankruptcy forecasting methods show unequivocal calculations, because they do not take into account industry differences and peculiarities. Based on the research, it was determined that the most objective model for the bankruptcy forecasting of agricultural enterprises is the universal and specific O.Tereshchenko model. The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical problems of ensuring the competitive advantages of enterprises, to develop recommendations for the formation of competitive advantages of enterprises of the hospitality industry in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. The article substantiates and highlights the development trends of hotel industry enterprises in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. The main directions of changes that have taken place in the tourism sphere in recent years have been highlighted. It is emphasized that hotel enterprises of Ukraine in modern conditions operate in an environment of multidimensional competition, in which effective management depends on the timely introduction of innovations and the use of new trends, as well as effective competitive forms of tourist services. The theoretical problems of ensuring the competitive advantages of enterprises are studied. It is noted that today domestic tourism has become family-friendly and ecological, it has become safer to travel within the country, where there are fewer people, a large territory and most importantly, there is no need to observe self-isolation after returning. One of the new and promising directions of tourist activity, which has been operating in the world for more than ten years, is recreation in glamping in nature. For the development of glamping in Ukraine, there are all the prerequisites, in particular, the presence of a significant number of picturesque natural places and the diversity of the landscape environment, accessibility to them, that is, communication routes, and active people on the ground who will provide services to tourists. The promising directions of the hotel industry enterprises at the current stage are characterized, namely the development of eco-hotel and glamping entrepreneurship. Trends are predicted and current trends in the hospitality industry are highlighted for the near future - solo travel, eco-travel, local experience, personalization and artificial intelligence. {"title":"The relationship between GHG emissions and agricultural land productivity in the EU member states and Ukraine","authors":"O. Faichuk","doi":"10.31548/bioeconomy2021.02.005","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31548/bioeconomy2021.02.005","url":null,"abstract":"The article is devoted to the quantitative relationship between greenhouse gas emissions and agricultural land productivity in EU member states and Ukraine (a country that continues to integrate into the EU). The author made a comparative analysis of the productivity of agricultural land in EU member states, other leading players in the world agricultural market, Ukraine and the world average. The method of statistical grouping to determine the reason for the different productivity of agricultural land (the value of gross output per 1 hectare of agricultural land) in the EU member states and in Ukraine was used. The author identified the cause of high levels of greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide equivalent) per hectare of agricultural land in the most developed EU countries by using the graphical method. Based on the calculated target level of greenhouse gas emissions per hectare of agricultural land in the EU until 2030, required by the European Green Deal, the probable threat to EU member states and Ukraine in terms of possible decline in agricultural production has been identified. By using the econometric method and the method of regression analysis, the author identified the existence of a positive and strong quantitative relationship between emissions of carbon dioxide equivalent and value of agricultural production per hectare of land in EU member states and Ukraine. The magnitude of the increasing of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions under condition of increasing the value of gross output per hectare of agricultural land by one euro is calculated. Based on the results of the study, the author concluded that there is a high probability of reducing the productivity of agricultural land in developed EU countries, if greenhouse gas emissions are reduced to the level of the target value. The author also substantiated the practical lack of opportunity for less developed countries of the EU and Ukraine to increase the economic productivity of land, according to realize the requirements of the European Green Deal. It is known that income in a market economy is a fee for the use of production resources or a reward for the contribution to the creation of the product. It is the main source of meeting the needs of consumer goods and services, due to their accumulation and consumption, and the level and quality of life is determined by the quantity and quality of goods that can be purchased for their income. Income determines the level and quality of life of the population and is an indicator of its well-being. In Ukraine, the differentiation of incomes is growing every year, which weakens the economic development of the country. Half of the country’s population lives below the poverty line, and skilled labor emigrates abroad as a result of growing social tensions. Political instability, military confrontation in the east, low living standards, the epidemiological situation associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the development of the shadow economy, high levels of corruption, low wages, and impoverishment have led to income differentiation. Therefore, the state should focus all its activities not only on socio-economic development of the country, finding effective methods, norms, standards to improve the quality and quality of life, but also pursue a reasonable and balanced income regulation policy that will reduce the ratio between poor and rich. The income of the population should reflect the social status of the individual or household. However, currently incomes do not show the real standard of living of the population, so they are studied and studied together with the costs. It should be noted that in Ukraine in recent years there has been deterioration in living standards population, which leads to a reduction in household savings (accumulation of non-financial assets). The results of the study show that the population spends most of its income on consumption, namely on food and do not have the opportunity to make savings, which can be investment resources. Therefore, the lack of monetary resources in the domestic market forces the government and economic entities to attract them abroad, which leads to an increase in external debt and a decrease in the welfare of the population. The authors emphasize the growing role of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of individuals in the banking market and expanding the scope of its modern mechanisms to reduce the negative effects of bank bankruptcy, which is an important factor in ensuring the stability of the banking system. Emphasis is placed on considering the disposable income of domestic households, as this indicator is an eloquent indicator of improving the country’s economic well-being. Parallels were made in the analysis of quantitative indicators of state social guarantees, namely: the expression of the living wage and the amount of the minimum wage for 2016-2020. The size of the household savings growing is estimated. The importance of converting household savings into investments for economic development is determined and the number of deposits and the value of deposits for households in 2016-2020 are analyzed. The authors also illustrate the dynamics of changes in the UIRD indicator. The deposit guarantee system is presented as an important factor in the financial stability of the state economy. The article emphasizes the successful steps of legislative regulation of the subject composition of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine and reformation of compensation limits, which brings the domestic insurance field closer to European standards of depositor’s protection. According to the results of attracting deposits from the top-9 commercial banks of Ukraine, tables have been formed, the data in which allow making conclusions about the leaders of the deposit services market and the amount of potential reimbursement.
