First, the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of BX fading is derived by employing the SC technique. The analytical expression for the probability density function (PDF) is derived from the obtained CDF. By using the derived PDF, other performance metrics such as outage probability (OP), average bit error rate (ABER) of different modulation schemes are obtained. To study the effect of fading parameters and diversity branches on the ABER, the numerical results are plotted and verified by Monte Carlo simulation.","PeriodicalId":334609,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSC)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115927428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The thin film of ZnO QDs with different doping concentration of Mg (2% and 4%) are deposited over the glass substrate using solution processing. The effect of doping is evident on the bandgap of the material as the doped QDs shows blue shift in the absorption spectrum. Further, we have analyzed fabricated device of Mg-doped ZnO QD and calculated carrier concentration, Hall mobility, and sheet resistance. The values found to be 4.88x1014 cm-3, 4.92 cm2/VS, and 5.18x108 Ω/□ respectively for Mg (2%)-doped ZnO QDs and 5.39x1014 cm-3, 6.60 cm2/VS, and 5.56x108 Ω/□ respectively for Mg(4%)-doped ZnO QDs. The device with doping of 4% Mg shows the better electrical properties comparative to ZnO QDs with Mg doping of 2% and 0%. The transmittance curve of ZnO QDs shows the sharp cut-off for visible region with increase in doping percentage and Mg(4%)-doped ZnO shows ~90% transmittance across the visible region with sharp increase in 360nm. These characteristics of Mg-doped ZnO can be further utilized for photodetection application of short wavelengths.","PeriodicalId":334609,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115498049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a challenging task due to time-variant nature of signature. To address the above difficulty, a new approach is proposed in this paper to compute the features of signatures. The proposed approach is divided into two parts: 1) writer-independent approach, 2) writer-dependent approach. Writer-independent approach is utilized for fine-tuning of VGG16 convolutional neural network (CNN). In writer-dependent approach, this fine-tuned CNN is utilized to extract the features from the signature. The signature is passed through this fine-tuned CNN and the vector obtained at first fully connected layer (after last convolutional layer) is used as feature vector. To obtain the accurate features for classification of signatures, the pixels of thinned signature image are replaced by their Gaussian Weighting Based Tangent Angle (GWBTA) in both writer-independent and writer-dependent approach. The computed features which are obtained in writer-dependent approach are fed to Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier to classify the signature into genuine or forgery class. The performance results obtained on different databases of offline handwritten signatures confirms the validity of proposed methodology for offline signature verification.","PeriodicalId":334609,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSC)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122010321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For optimization of the result that has been obtained by applying the DCT-DWT on the original image is being accomplished by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). In this paper, the watermark is inserted in the DWT-DCT coefficients, where the value of the coefficients is larger than some specific value. The embedding of the watermark is in the region with low-frequency coefficients. This paper mainly focuses on DCT-DWT but SVD is also tried on the image watermarking. The PSO is first compared with proposed modified inertia weight-based PSO on standard test function and its effectiveness is proposed. Later, to check the undetectability and to gain the optimized result modified PSO is applied in the image watermarking process. It is also checked that it is robust or not by applying some attacks on the image. Simulation results show that there is a marginal difference between the original and watermarked image. The Optimization technique is successfully implemented to achieve an optimal watermarking solution.","PeriodicalId":334609,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSC)","volume":"07 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121345491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
