Usually, an entire SPD of a LED lamp can be regarded as the superposition of an asymmetric blue with a phosphor converted spectrum, each of which can be fitted by an Asymmetric Gaussian (AGaussian) model. During the ageing process, the decomposed SPD model parameters extracted from the test data of a LED lamp are fitted further to an exponential degradation model. Then at any given time, the lumen maintenance φ and color coordinates u' and v' can be calculated by predicting the SPD of a LED lamp. In order to demonstrate the application of the proposed method, a batch of ten LED PAR20 lamps equipped with four phosphor converted white LEDs (pc-white LEDs) were aged at 25 °C for 4000 hours. And a statistical analysis was performed to calculate the median values (50 percentile) of φ and du'v' with both upper boundary (5 percentile) and lower boundary (95 percentile). The results show that most of the measured φ and du'v' can be enveloped within the lower boundary curves predicted by the proposed model. In addition, there is a good prediction result of the φ curves by using the proposed method and a published statistical method. As long as the spectral behavior is not changing over time, there is no doubt in that method. Since the integral value of the luminous flux is weighted with the V(λ)-function, degradation in the red and blue parts of the spectrum are represented less than changes in green and yellow spectral ranges. For this purpose spectral bands and their ratio over lifetime are analyzed and compared to each other. Data of 14,000 hours are presented in this study. Aging curves of the luminous flux und optical power are compared and analyzed by the described methods. As more cost effective substrates such as silicon wafers are used on which to grow the LED active layers, the overall output efficiency and efficiency droop at high drive currents need to be monitored and better understood. This paper investigates the droop effect at elevated temperatures for an LED grown on silicon, compared with an LED grown on the more standard sapphire substrate. The different contribution of the package have been separated and investigated by using the derivative of temperature rise in the time domain and thermal transient method. The results show that although the thermal conductivity coefficient of epoxy PCB is much smaller than that of ceramic, PCB integrated with Cu can improve the heat-dissipation significantly and decrease the thermal resistance. The tested ambient illumination included 120Hz full modulated LED light source, normal fluorescent light source and dark environment. Visual fatigue was measured with subjective ratings (12 symptoms, considering general discomfort and eye fatigue) and ophthalmological parameters (CFF, NRA, PRA, NPA, NPC) both before and after watching television. Results showed that, generally, both subjective ratings and ophthalmological parameters indicated significant visual fatigue after watching TV. However, only subjective ratings reflected more visual fatigue under dark environment compared to the illuminated environment. In this paper, a low turn-on voltage cascode AlGaN/GaN SBD Si realized. A commercial 60 V Si SBD and a high voltage AlGaN/GaN HEMT (>700 V) were used in the design. After co-packaged, the device shows a turn-on voltage with 0.26 V and the breakdown voltage can reach up to 800 V. The reversed recovery time of the cascode AlGaN/GaN SBD is about 37.8 nS, which almost the same with the 600 V commercial SiC SBD. Several light source modules constitute LED array planar light source module. Monitoring and control of the system is realized through the combination of upper computer based on LabVIEW and controller. The controller conducts real-time detection on photon flux density (PFD) of red, green and blue bands, temperature and humidity and displays the detection information on the interface of upper computer. Pulse width modulation (PWM) signal is adjusted dynamically through the controller so as to make PFD value of plants under lighting remain constant, thus realizing intelligent fill lighting of the lighting system in combination with ambient light. Meanwhile, the system also realizes intelligent adjustment of temperature and humidity threshold range. The data were used to evaluate three uniformity metrics. Four attributes were scaled including uniformity, comfort, brightness and contrast perceptions using a categorical judgment method. Twenty-one subjects were asked to rate the attributes under different degree of lighting uniformity. The results showed that using the ratio between minimum and average to evaluate the uniformity performed the best, and a ratio of between 0.80 and 0.90 were consistently to provide accepted comfort across the desk top. Also, the contrast of lighting is significantly negatively correlated with uniformity. In the same illuminance level, more uniform lights will make subjects feel more comfortable. And in the same uniformity level, brighter lights will also make subjects feel more comfortable. The performance requirements of semiconductor products are continue increasing while the technology is improving. In order to satisfy the requirements, the researches of new material and device structure is necessary. This paper shows a new structure of GaN HEMT. An AlGaN/GaN HEMT consists of AlGaN/GaN Heterojunction, drain electrode, source electrode and gate electrode. Though the researchers have reported a large number of HEMT structures since M. Asif Khan and his colleagues repot the first AlGaN/GaN HEMT in 1993, there is none of the structures, which three electrodes are in different surfaces of device. This paper describes a new structure called different-surface-gate structure, which drain and source electrodes are on the other surface while the gate electrode is on the top surface (AlGaN surface) of the device as normal HEMTs. This paper will establish two models by TCAD simulation software. One is the model of different-surface-gate AlGaN/GaN HEMT and the other one is normal structure AlGaN/GaN HEMT, which is the control model.
