Development of innovative capability is vital to firm's competitive success in such complex and dynamic context. However, enterprise innovative capability building is still weak in China. Total innovation management highlights the effectiveness of the elements collaboration and resource allocation to innovative capability leveraging & superior performance. To prove that, this paper established a system dynamics model to explore the relationship between innovation element synergy and innovative capability evolution. Some brief conclusions can be drawn as follows: Firstly, synergy between technological & marketing innovation is of great significance to internalization of introduced technologies and resources. Secondly, organizational arrangements could push this internalized capability to integrated innovation capability and competence. Finally, reasonable strategy and innovative culture could boost sustainable innovation and make integrated innovation capability evolved and finally reached into original innovation capability.","PeriodicalId":329450,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Management of Technology (ISMOT)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133983409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such leadership requires deep and extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of creation, as well as general and specific leadership abilities and skills that promote creativity in a team. By applying the emergence perspective, social dynamics in leadership and in the creative team may be understood as the interplay between team members' interaction that organizes the work. This paper argues that the essential competencies for the team emerge in the interaction between all the members of the team, including the leader. Creative developmental phases demand other kinds of attitudes and qualities of interaction between group members than production on a daily basis. Team members need to develop creative thought styles and creative action patterns, combined with the ability to temporarily change those patterns.","PeriodicalId":329450,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Management of Technology (ISMOT)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121446771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And more and more bulk commodity transaction platform have been established in China. Therefore the problem that how to make more contribution to the supply chain and provide more value-added services become a new matter faced by the port authorities. Most of the ports at home are still remain in traditional state and play a passive role in the chain. But as an integral part of innovation, non-R&D innovation does play an important part in enterprises' innovation process, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) whose R&D capabilities are very weak. So far, there are only few researches on non-R&D innovation, let alone the reasonable definition of non-R&D innovation. Based on existing innovation literatures, this paper gives a more clearly and reasonable definition of non-R&D innovation. Then, the paper puts forward four typical modes of non-R&D innovation with illustrative cases which indicate that non-R&D innovation is an effective innovation approach to the survival and development of SMEs.","PeriodicalId":329450,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Management of Technology (ISMOT)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128229511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The explosive increase in throughput of China's container ports have led to aggravated port congestions. Given the situation, import and export enterprises are making use of empty container reuse transportation and rationalizing container transportation to reduce cost. Accordingly, the paper proposes three types of container supply and demand modes, among which the most important one is the constraints of the application of reuse transportation and the expansion plan of this type of transportation. The study aims at innovating empty container operation management in order to enhance national competitiveness by streamlining logistics.","PeriodicalId":329450,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Management of Technology (ISMOT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125663361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
