Economics, among other aspects, contributes to the analysis of the effect of the implementation of public policies aimed at reducing crime. Thus, taking into consideration the approval of the Disarmament Statute (DE) in Brazil in 2003, this paper aims to analyze its effect on firearm-related deaths, represented by homicides, suicides, accidents and injuries of undetermined causes during the period 1997-2015. For this, a dynamic panel, model GMM-SYS, was used, where the results showed that despite the implementation of the ED, the country showed an increase in firearm-related death rates, which follow the homicide behavior, given its prominence among the modalities of death. It is important to highlight the Brazilian distinct regional dynamics that characterize the evolution of firearm deaths in the period, particularly homicides. Among all Brazilian regions, the northeastern region presented the highest growth of deaths, having as main explanation the growing conflicts over land tenure and political power, besides the control of drug and arms trafficking. The latent global action of local governments gives rise to the urgency of understanding how municipal governments interact with the various public and private actors in order to project their city on the international scene, as well as to prospect for internationalization actions within their territory. In this sense, this article presents the results of a research about the processes, aspects and dimension of internationalization of the cities of Sao Paulo and Goiânia, investigating them in the light of their socioeconomic and political perspectives. This research corroborates interviews with representatives of agencies and institutions regarding the internationalization of both cities. Internationalization, therefore, can be provoked from the perspective of a passive model or from the perspective of a (pro) active model. Thus, it is possible to realize that the presence of public power and the intersection with civil society actors and private power are essential in the development of an internationalization policy. The differences between the two municipalities show that although globalization has narrowed the media and transformed trade relations, internationalization processes are uneven. The empirical strategy was based on the use of Propensity Score Matching. The dependent variables considered were food expenses, non-food expenses and total expenditure, considering the absolute monetary values spent in each of these. the matching was made through the method of stratication matching. Circular Economy (CE) proposes a transition from linear production to a model focused on the reintegration of waste in the production cycle, minimizing the extraction of raw materials and the impacts caused by improper disposal of waste in the environment. This paper aims to present the assumptions, concepts, limitations and contributions of CE to the urban waste management. A systematic review was conducted from the Scopus and ScienceDirect platform as the main result, the predominance of publications from China and Europe, possibly because the Circular Economy occupies the top of the political decision agendas. The objective was to analyze how the credit granted by development agents, active in the region, to entrepreneurs and municipalities contributed to regional development, generating improvement in the quality of life of the local population between 2010 and 2014.No Theoretical framework of support for the analysis were examined the main theories related to the role of credit as a necessary element for development. In addition, the approach to public banks allowed the segregation of credit agents according to their level of adherence to the direct purposes of promoting development. From the methodological point of view, for this analysis, bibliographic surveys of publications carried out by the financial agents, the federal government and the state of Bahia, as well as the extraction of data from the sites of the main sources Related as the Central Bank of Brazil – BACEN, the Treasury secretariat of the State of Bahia – SEFAZ, the Superintendence of economic studies of Bahia – SEI, the National Bank for Social Economic development – BNDES, the Bank of northeastern Brazil S/A – BNB and the DESENBAHIA-Development Agency of the State of Bahia S/A. In conclusive terms, the research indicated that in the period analyzed the funding institutions operating in Bahia presented the following behaviors: preference for liquidity, but with balance of Portfolio between short-and long-term applications; Partial coverage of market failures with concentration of resources in large companies and reduction of the application of resources in infrastructure and health; Regarding the support for the anti-cyclical policy, it was observed that a significant part, 35% of the Bahia territory, suffered a reduction in resources between 2010 and 2014. The variations of the value added setorially highlighted direct and negative correlations in 43% identity territories mostly located in the Semiarid Region; The Metropolitan Region of Salvador, except for the capital, was the only one that had a reduction in GDP per capita despite the volume of financing and funding being elevated in the same period. The demographic scenario covers the period from 1970 to 2010, while labor productivity is analyzed from 2001 to 2010 due to data availability. In order to estimate robust parameters for the endogeneity of variables, in addition to estimations in traditional panel data, a dynamic specification was used. Regarding the demographic scenario, there is a more advanced demographic transition process in the South and Southeast Regions, indicating that fewer people will be of working age in the coming years.
