In particular, it substantiates its importance and necessity as an original activity in journalism. The objective of the study is to generalize the available experience of classification of social journalism in Ukraine and to compare it with the foreign ones; to analyze the applied activity of a social journalist through the prism of peculiarities of his/her work with respondents and media coverage of urgent social issues based on the obtained results. The methods of comparison and synthesis were used. The method of comparison is used for comparing the current state of social journalism in Ukraine with foreign samples. The method of synthesis highlighted the categorical features of media materials in social journalism. The functioning of social journalism and professional standards involved in providing this kind of information to the public are considered. The peculiarities of the social journalist’s work with respondents and coverage of social problems in the media were analyzed on the example of materials of BBC News Ukraine related to the topic “exchange of ATO prisoners of war” in January 2018.","PeriodicalId":328436,"journal":{"name":"Scientific notes of the Institute of Journalism","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114729218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 2017, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine introduced the system of strategic communications as a response to Russian aggression at the state level. In this regard, a document called the Strategic Communications Concept of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the Concept) was signed, which was supposed to contain a technological approach to counteracting information challenges, risks and threats, in particular, in the context of ATO / OOS. However, this study showed that the document contained a number of omissions, in particular, the focus was on the issue of the audience of strategic communications, channels of distribution of key messages in accordance with the existing narrative, the narrative in particular, and the use of the latest technologies by the actors in implementation of strategic communications. The main objective of the article is to study the criteria of perceived quality of journalistic articles on “housing/real estate” in the Ukrainian online business media and to form an innovative model of presenting the topic based on its socio-economic nature. The research methodology is based on the Design Science Research method (DSR), which consists in generating new knowledge by constructing and analyzing artifacts. It is based on the model of Kuchler and Vaishnavi, which allowed to identify the stages of object identification, hypothesis, analysis, evaluation, development and conclusion. The study proposes to modify this model, adding a design stage. During this stage, a unified model of presenting the topic on “housing/real estate” in the Ukrainian online business media was created. The research was conducted using a variety of methods of scientific knowledge, including the use of expert interviewing methods to determine the object of the study and its analysis. 15 journalists who were the permanent authors of Ukraine‟s online business media were selected for the expert survey. Among them there were the representatives of socio-economic media and highly specialized industry publications. The age of participants ranged from 24 to 47 years with the experience in the business media segment from 3 to 25 years. Based on the results of the study, the article presents the perceptual criteria for the quality of journalistic articles, which became the basis to create a model for presenting narrowly specialized industry information related to the socio-economic topic on “housing/real estate” in the Ukrainian business online media taking into account the binary nature (combination of so-cial and ecomonic context). The purpose of this model is to overcome a lack of competence in working with highly specialized industry information in online business media and to form methodological recommendations for covering the socio-economic topic on “housing/real estate”.","PeriodicalId":328436,"journal":{"name":"Scientific notes of the Institute of Journalism","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127495718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the process of the study, the following methods have been applied: the method of scientific description and observation, the essence of which consists in inventory and systematization, classification and interpretation of linguistic units, which makes it possible to establish the corpus of the analyzed Anglicism; the contextualsituational analysis of discourse used to study the features of functional characteristics of language units in the media text; the method of quantitative calculation, which is used to identify the relative frequency of using Anglicism in the research material. Despite a significant number of works of Ukrainian and foreign researchers devoted to the problems of usage of Anglicism in the language of the press, the features of their classification and functioning in the Ukrainian language in general, and the language of journalism in particular, have not received due scientific coverage, which determines the relevance of the scientific research. In the present study Anglicism is understood as a kind of borrowing; a word, its separate meaning, an expression, etc., borrowed from the English or translated from it or formed according to its pattern. Anglicisms are predominantly recognized by speakers as an alien element and retain the features of their origin. The analysis of the texts of «Ukrayinskyi Tyzhden»/«Ukrainian Week» has manifested that the magazine contains 75 anglicisms – 18% of all foreign words in the magazine. The magazine «Krayina»/«Country» uses 30 Anglicisms, or 14.5% of all borrowings. Anglicisms that are used on the pages of the analyzed magazines refer to the three main thematic spheres: «Person», «Artifacts», and «Environment».","PeriodicalId":328436,"journal":{"name":"Scientific notes of the Institute of Journalism","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116160627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of the article is to detect fundamental and meaningful differences in the methodology of preparation and coverage of interview in press and Internet journalism; to show the specifics of complex processes. Research methods. The method of content analysis became the empiric basis of the scientific paper and the source for theoretical references and conclusions. The author used the historical and the comparative methods of research, because it is impossible to analyze the development of interview genre without reference to the theory and practice of press journalism. The author used the generalization method in order to reduce the specific details and empirics features, making theoretical generalizations on the basis of them. The results of the study. The author represents the thesis according to which the task of an interview is not only to inform, but also to provide aesthetic and ethical education. The genre of interviews-dialogue slowly revives in the Ukrainian Internet journalism. The interview-dialogue in the modern Internet publications significantly varies from the interview-dialogue in the print ones. An interviewer-essay and an interview-sketching have the pronounced elements of fiction. The new Internet publications will appear, and the different types of interviews will be revived with rising level of social morality and self-organization of population mass. Conclusions and suggestions. The process of transformation and adaptation of the interview genre from print publications to Internet ones has been completed. The genre is focused on the new media platforms that are rather unusual for domestic journalists; the interview develops according to its own dynamyc. Therefore, the interviews in Internet publications should be prepared by journalists who specialize in materials designed for the Internet editions.","PeriodicalId":328436,"journal":{"name":"Scientific notes of the Institute of Journalism","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130277248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
