The concept known as usability can be applied extensively to ergonomic design and testing of a wide range of products and systems, including cars. In order to assess drivers' understanding of what information is exactly presented by symbols that are used to describe the state of the lighting system of an automobile, a usability test was designed. The test included 4 symbols, three of which were ISO-approved symbols. This study of usability of symbols on a sample of drivers showed that understanding of information represented by symbols is relatively low, ranging from 41.93% to 61.29%. Certain statistical tests allow for prognosis results on a population level, using the data based on a sample. For that purpose, we used the Z-test of a sample proportion. Testing of statistical hypotheses yielded even lower values of symbols understanding at the population level, for each tested symbol. Suggestions have been made to improve the usability of this type of symbol.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the imbalance between traffic demands and traffic supply, cities, and especially their central city zones (CZ), face the problem of traffic congestion. Management of traffic demands by applying the congestion pricing policy (CP) can significantly contribute to reducing traffic congestion and its negative impacts. However, after insufficient public and political support for the CP policy during implementation, as well as the application of the MC policy, which is based only on research in hypothetical situations, a hybrid management model was proposed. Bearing in mind the above, the objective of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the acceptability of the hybrid model, which represents combination of the previously mentioned policies (CP+MC). The obtained results indicate that the hybrid model can represents an adequate solution that would reduce the movement of passenger cars in CZ and increase the acceptance of such a policy among the public.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47895424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of the construction of the corridor Vc Johovac - Border of FBiH is to improve the traffic capacity of this road, as well as to improve the entire segment of accompanying effects, of which the effects on the environment are one of the most significant. The start of the section is located in the town of Johovac, where a loop is planned to connect the highway Banja Luka - Doboj with corridor Vc, and the end of the section is located in the area of the Makljenovac settlement, i.e. to the border with FBiH. The observed coverage of the site is a combination of flat and hilly terrain that is mainly used as agricultural land. The route of the planned highway mainly follows the course of the Bosna River, which is the most dominant watercourse in the section. The total length of this section is 10.65 km. This paper presents the results of air pollution measurements that will be the basis for further assessment of air quality when the highway is put into operation. Air pollution represents the concentration of harmful substances over the tolerance limit (maximum permissible concentration - MPC), however, this concentration will depend not only on the intensity of the source of pollution, but also on local conditions in terms of air currents, precipitation, terrain configuration, etc. The effect of air pollution on the population can be direct or indirect. Air pollution directly damages and worsens people's health, while its indirect effect manifests itself through a harmful effect on domestic animals, vegetation, material and cultural assets.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considered the specifics of hand controls (higher workload during driving and lower passive safety), it is very important to analyze the safety of the category of drivers with disabilities who use them. This paper aims to determine which factors influence the participation in road traffic crashes of drivers with disabilities who use hand controls. Based on the identified factors, measures and activities are defined to improve the road safety of drivers with disabilities who use hand controls, to improve the mobility of persons with disabilities, and to encourage potential drivers with disabilities, especially in less developed countries. The research was conducted in Serbia, which belongs to the group of less developed countries in the world. Considering the estimated number of drivers with disabilities who use hand controls, every fourth driver in Serbia participated in the survey (65 respondents). The statistical analysis was performed by the decision tree CART algorithm. Driving experience with hand controls is the most important variable of the participation of drivers with disabilities in a road traffic crash while driving vehicles with hand controls. Improving the system of maintaining hand controls, harmonize the performance of hand controls with the medical status of the drivers with disabilities, improving awareness of drivers with disabilities about risky behaviors in traffic are recognized as the most important measures and activities.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Numerous negative effects of congestion affect both the users themselves and people who are not direct participants in the traffic. The most significant negative effects caused by traffic congestion are greater time losses, increased emission of harmful gases, greater number of traffic accidents, noise, etc. Congestion charging is one of the measures that affects the reduction of traffic congestion by influencing the transport requirements of users. So far, congestion charging has been implemented in several cities around the world. Although it has proven to be very effective in solving congestion problems, it has not been widely used due to its poor acceptability. Within this paper, the concept of congestion charging is presented, an overview of experiences from cities where it is applied, and the results of simulation of congestion charging in Belgrade are presented.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research on the impact of the (non) use of daytime running lights by motorcycles on traffic safety has been scarce. Bearing the above in mind, as well as the fact that the occurrence of traffic accidents is influenced by many factors, the authors of this paper decided to conduct an experimental study on a driving simulator, with the aim of determining how (not) the use of daytime running lights on motorcycles affect the estimation of the speed of the motorcycle (30 km/h, 50 km/h, 70 km/h, 90 km/h). 128 young drivers participated in the research. The results of the research showed that there are statistically significant differences in the estimation of the speed of the motorcycle by road users when the daytime running lights are on and when the daytime lights are not on, for all tested speeds and in all tested conditions.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
