Mitigation plans have been designed on all newly constructed sections and environmental monitoring is foreseen. In order to successfully implement mitigation and monitoring plans, there is a need to consolidate a large number and type of data. Within the PE \"Roads of Serbia\" there is a Database department responsible for the management, collection, updating and analysis of the data referring to roads, traffic, traffic signage and equipment, traffic accidents, structures, etc. This paper points to the necessity of upgrading the existing database with data based on applied environmental protection measures, requirements regarding regular maintenance and monitoring of their effectiveness through a monitoring plan. All the elements of mitigation plans that should be included in the database are presented in detail: noise protection walls, oil separators used to treat waste water, wire fences that are adapted to certain animal species and wildlife crossings. The database should also contain monitoring data for surface water, groundwater, air, soil and noise level. In order to improve environmental protection, proposals were also made on the use of data already entered in the existing database and their upgrading.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136062348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The driver's task in traffic is to assess traffic situations and act in accordance with their decisions in traffic. One of the most common causes of traffic accidents is \"misjudgment of road users\". The perception of space is one of the prerequisites for safe and successful driving. In order to investigate the mentioned issue, the authors of this paper conducted an experimental study with the aim of determining what affects the perception of the distance to the object. 164 respondents participated in the experiment. The research results show statistically significant differences in the perception of distance to objects of different colors. The respondents with the smallest error estimate the distance to the red object better, in the conditions when the driver sits in the driver's seat and observes the object through the camera in the vehicle (hereinafter via the camera), while the respondents in the situation when the driver sits and observes the object in the rearview mirror (hereinafter to the text by looking in the rearview mirror) and in the situation when the driver is sitting and looking at objects over his shoulder (direct observation) estimated the distance to the yellow object with the smallest error. In the following text, the basic operations with matrices will be listed, the existing computer tools in operations with matrices will be pointed out, and finally some practical problems from transportation that can be solved with matrices will be given. The transport chain can be formed by one or more types, with different cargo handling technologies, types of cargo units, types of carriers, all of which affect transport costs and delivery time. On the basis of techno-economic analysis, the best variants of transport chains are generated, which should be known by senders and receivers. The number of combinations can be important, and matrices can be used to determine the most favorable variants. The basic problems in the optimization of the stacking of piece loads (goods) on carriers are the appearance and mass at the places of initial and final operations, which in most cases are of stochastic size, and the distribution of load masses in a static and dynamic sense.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136062094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ICT-related efforts do not meet the mobility and accessibility needs of every single group in society, resulting in socioeconomic exclusion for specific groups of people. Social exclusion disadvantages vulnerable social groups in society's mobility, while limited mobility reduces access to activities for disadvantaged groups; travel for job hunting, education, work, and health facilities further increases these groups' physical isolation. The need to travel for activities, services, and basic goods for human consumption such as food, water, and medication must be addressed by developing inclusive transportation systems. Through tele-activities, e-payments, security and surveillance, among other components adaptable to travel and mobility, technological solutions have been at the forefront of prescriptions to transportation problems. However, they remain inaccessible to some of society. The study investigates whether inclusive, sustainable public transportation can be fully realized in developing countries by utilizing technology-based travel behavior solutions. It also investigates the effectiveness of ICT solutions to travel, mobility, and accessibility issues in a South African city with a relatively traditional public transportation system. The study considers socioeconomic travel processes as well as travel behavior constructs to inclusivity in order to weigh the prospects of equitable provision of ICT-enabled public transportation services in the developing world. This study discovered that travelers have smartphone access; however, the purposes of smartphones are not directly related to travel and transportation. Furthermore, public transportation service providers do not have an online presence. Overall, for ICT-enabled public transportation to thrive in developing countries, accessible technologies such as calls and SMS that do not require internet access must be considered.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136061848","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The selected interchanges for comparison are the Superstreet, Single Point Diamond Interchange (SPDI), and the Synchronized interchange. The evaluation is based on a microsimulation environment created in VISSIM combined with ASC/3 Software-in-the-Loop signal controllers. The findings show that the CGT-MUT enhanced the network-wide and intersection-level operations regarding various measures of effectiveness. Additionally, while the CGT-MUT did not always outperform all the other designs in terms of the on-ramp turning traffic travel times, it outperformed the Superstreet and Synchronized in terms of the off-ramp turning traffic travel times and resulted in the least through traffic travel times for all the tested scenarios. Particularly, the CGT-MUT’s through travel times were 9% – 30%, 26% – 42%, and 13% – 38% less than those for the Superstreet, SPDI, and Synchronized interchanges, respectively.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136062352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inadequate speed often leads to traffic accidents with serious consequences, or often fatal accidents. By increasing the speed, visibility decreases, that is, it is more difficult to see other road users, which endangers their safety. By moving on the road, the vehicle achieves different speeds at different moments of time, that is, vehicles move at different speeds under the same road and ambient conditions. In this paper, an analysis of the impact of vehicle speed on traffic safety in the City of Banja Luka was performed, determining the state of the traffic infrastructure as well as its impact on the real speed of vehicle movement. The key results were obtained using the method of anonymous recording on three primary roads in the City of Banja Luka. The goal of the work is to determine, based on the actual situation on the ground, (the speeds measured at three locations in the city to), to what extent drivers respect the speed determined by adequate vertical signage.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136062370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data is information recorded and stored on some type of digital media. The paper presents an example of data digitization in the field of environmental protection during the construction of the \"Pojate - Preljina\" highway using the \"d.Hub\" storage and visual presentation platform. d.Hub is a data transformation platform that helps users simplify data management to gain better insight into the real situation and make real-time decisions more easily. Within the Arup system, d.Hub currently has end users from different parts of Europe, so its current coverage only covers this region. Some of these impacts, such as carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, cannot be limited to the immediate environment where the works are carried out, but are global. In order to limit the increase in the average temperature on Earth caused by increased CO2e emissions to below 2oC, and in accordance with Serbia's internationally accepted obligations, it is necessary that all industries, including construction, make their maximum contribution. When we talk about the rehabilitation of asphalt curtains, one of the possible ways to greatly reduce CO2e emissions is the application of thermostable geogrids for asphalt reinforcement. The main effect achieved by the application of geogrids for asphalt reinforcement is the extension of the durability of the new asphalt layer while reducing maintenance costs. According to the manufacturer of asphalt reinforcement nets and delaying the appearance of reflected cracks, the durability of the new asphalt layer increases 3-4 times.
