The evaluation is based on a microsimulation environment created in VISSIM combined with ASC/3 Software-in-the-Loop signal controllers and Python-programmed Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communication algorithms. The effect of varying CV-Market Penetration Rates (CV-MPRs) on traffic operations is taken into consideration. The study shows that the interchange design has a higher impact on traffic operations than does the CV-MPR. Particularly, a 100% CV-MPR has led to 6.4% reductions in delays compared to the 0% CV-MPR, without considering the effect of interchange design. Contrarily, the CDI would increase delays as high as 24.0% as opposed to the SPDI, without considering the effect of CVs. Similarly, the DDI would reduce delays by up to 60.6% compared to the SPDI, without considering the effect of CVs.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The total length of the route of the future highway Banja Luka - Prijedor is 40.7 km. The planned route passes in the immediate vicinity of commercial and residential buildings. The project area is divided into two characteristic zones: residential and business zone and zone without residential and business buildings. The subject of this paper is the quantification of the expected noise level that will occur as a result of traffic on the planned highway, in order to design appropriate noise protection measures. Noise generated on roads affects the environment and contributes to the degradation of the quality of life in the vicinity of the highway and disturbs wildlife. Noise emissions from roads are mostly caused by friction between vehicle tires and the highway surface, and aerodynamic resistance to vehicle movement. Endangered / \"noise sensitive\" areas can be protected by building sound barriers (acoustic walls, earth embankments or gabions) - the so-called. \"Active protection measure\", by installing windows with improved acoustic insulation - the so-called. \"Passive protection or by reducing noise emissions at the source (by limiting the speed of the vehicle or by installing a road curtain with absorption properties).","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Between 2008 and 2019, the average motorcycle crash frequency in Wyoming was 286 crashes/year, 17 of those being fatal. This paper assesses injury severity of motorcycle-related crashes in Wyoming using 12 years of motorcycle crash data and applying multinomial logistic regression modeling to determine the odds ratios for injury severity. Four models were developed and analyzed, based on the setting and the number of vehicles involved. The most common factors affecting injury severity include vehicle maneuver, driver action, junction relation, alcohol, animal and speed involvement, and helmet use. The vicinity of intersections significantly increases the odds of injury crashes in urban areas, and in rural areas with multi-vehicle involvement. Certain vehicle maneuvers are also associated with a more severe crash outcome.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"81 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used to transform grading curves of RAP and obtain reduced amount of data for further analysis. Different Multivariate Polynomial Regression (MPR) models were developed considering properties of RAP (aged binder content and its penetration, grading curves before and after extraction (black and white curves)), manufacturing process (preheating temperature) and properties of testing samples (air void content). Analysis showed that PCA can be adequately used to reduce the number of variables required to describe grading curves (74% of variance was described with first two principal components). Additionally, it was concluded that the simplest (Linear) MPR Model was the most precise overall - coefficient of the determination was 0.59, which can be considered as quite high for such a data set (more than 40 RAPs from different sources were analyzed).","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A certain part of the professional public believes that school traffic patrols perform an important task in improving the safety of children on the roads and to encourage school children to accept responsibility, while the rest of the professional public believes that children are at risk and that children are young to take office. accepted responsibility. However, school traffic patrols are a great success in the world. Namely, in Germany, since the establishment of school traffic patrols in 1953, no traffic accident has been recorded with severely injured and dead children, while in Washington, more than 90% of schools have established school traffic patrols. In this paper, the experiences of developed countries in establishing school traffic patrols are presented.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69273539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are in direct dependence on the width of the marked pedestrian crossing, and they were analyzed at two marked crossings in Teslić, with the same characteristics, next to the high school and next to the primary school. The target groups of the research consisted of different ages of students divided by gender and three grade classes and students who come with their parents. In order to obtain the most accurate data on pedestrian speeds, which is the goal of the research, in addition to the method of scientific observation, the video recording technique was also used. The result of these methods are tables in which speeds and crossing times are classified, on the basis of which graphs of speed, crossing times and the level of service of given pedestrian crossings are presented. As a result, it was concluded that by increasing the width of the pedestrian crossing at both locations, the speed of pedestrian crossing would decrease, bearing in mind that a larger width of the pedestrian crossing allows for a longer crossing time.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48926557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Road users’ personalities, attitudes and behaviour can influence how individuals, especially youngsters, react to a particular driving situation. Young drivers are among the riskiest road users, particularly during the first few months of independent driving. Although they represent only a small percentage of licensed drivers, they are more likely to be involved in traffic accidents with fatalities and injuries than the more experienced ones. The cost of different ways of transportation varies according to distance, luxury, size, fragility, and other factors. When the following factors are accounted for, the vehicle might become prohibitively expensive for many individuals. A new means of conveyance has been developed. Elon Musk initially proposed it as the fifth mode of transportation in 2012. For commuters and goods, Hyperloop offers a quick and cost-effective way of transportation. The Hyperloop is essentially a vacuum tube train that transports people or products at incredible speeds while efficiently. Compared to traditional forms of transportation, the Hyperloop is ideal since it is highly energy-efficient, quiet, and self-contained. Increased cargo delivery speeds will be the most evident benefit of this idea to the industry. Hyperloop also has the potential to make a significant contribution to green supply chains. It is a carbon-free form of transportation that has changed inland freight transportation and maritime and air freight transit. It can move freight below, above ground, and under-water. The aim of this paper is to explain this new innovative technology as a development for logistic concepts.","PeriodicalId":32747,"journal":{"name":"Put i Saobracaj","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48167948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
