This analysis reveals significant differen- ces with the existing cargo systems models in Mexican anthropology and which were based on forms of government of communities in the center and south of the country. The Yaqui cargo systems—the basis of their government structure—are an element of their culture that permits their survival as a people with their own values. Due to the fact that the dominant conception in legal anthropology in Mexico is based on the values, principles, and legal systems of the center and south, it is relevant to explore the reality of the northwest region of the country and thus present original and innovative contributions to existing knowledge.","PeriodicalId":32390,"journal":{"name":"Anales de Antropologia","volume":"54 1","pages":"45-58"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42920349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Anthropometric data were collected in the scientific literature (height, weight, cormic index and bmi) for adult men and women. These were compared with historical data from a sample of adolescents of both sexes, between 15 and 19 years old, obtained until 2014. No association of height and temporality was observed among the adults. Over the time period, men showed no association between weight (p = 0.397) and bmi (p = 0.368), while in women, weight (p = 0.013) increases. The data in adolescents show similar trends to that of the adults. It is not possible to observe sufficient positive effects to modify the health and nutrition processes reflected in the height of the adult. Some positive effects have been seen in childhood, while in the case of women the articulation of sociocultural and economic processes has led to overweight.","PeriodicalId":32390,"journal":{"name":"Anales de Antropologia","volume":"54 1","pages":"115-123"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46820810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Contrario a lo considerado hasta ahora, las “provincias” o unidades politico-territoriales eran relativamente pequenas y estaban circunscritas a las cercanias de los rios y las zonas entre rios eran, al parecer, “tierras de nadie”, politicamente hablando, pero las relaciones entre las cabeceras eran constantes y dinamicas.","PeriodicalId":32390,"journal":{"name":"Anales de Antropologia","volume":"54 1","pages":"7-18"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43476103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The groups are the montsund naab (those who play the drums) and the monluy kawuy (those who ride on horseback). The first of them express themselves by using a reed flute, a pair of drums and several turtle shells percussed with deer horns; the latter by uttering whistles, shouts and by means of noise produced with the two skil (two batteries of 13 cowbells tied to a leather strap). My approach is ethnographic, and the results allow me to state that the aforementioned sociality has ecological, economic and political-ontological implications, since by performing the sonority in question, the Huaves seek to win the energetic gifts that the saints and mombasuik dispense, while endorsing the transcendental relationship of the alliance. The originality of the approach resides in analyzing how a society uses certain sound-musical expressions in a ritual period. This contributes to the current anthropological and ethnomusicological discussion on the topic of inter-specific relationships (human, non-human) through aesthetic expressions among the native peoples of Mexico.","PeriodicalId":32390,"journal":{"name":"Anales de Antropologia","volume":"54 1","pages":"89-105"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43829131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
