Under stress conditions, humans have disturbed sleep, poorly coordinated movements, they are unable to make decisions, and the efficiency of their labor activity decreases. The study aims to identify the level of mobbing on the example of Irkutsk National Research Technical University staff and develop recommendations for reducing the level of mobbing on the university staff. There are two types of mobbing: vertical (bossing), when psychological terror comes from the leadership and horizontal - when it comes from colleagues. The study was conducted using the methods of questioning, analysis and comparison. The results of the mobbing survey in the staff environment, diagnostics of the mental and motivational states of teachers, as well as methods for assessing the psychological atmosphere are presented. It was established that in some departments elements of mobbing are manifested. Staff aged 36-45 mainly react to the mobbing. Practical recommendations for preventing mobbing were suggested. They include the need to inform the staff of long-term university development goals, the availability of job descriptions, the possibility of career development and an even distribution of responsibilities and teaching load.","PeriodicalId":322608,"journal":{"name":"XXI Century. According to the World Health Organization, 30–40% of life expectancy depends on the quality of the environment. The purpose of the study is to assess the environmental safety for the population of Kemerovo region. Using various research methods, statistical data were studied and summarized, regulatory documents were analyzed, and comparisons and calculations of environmental indicators were made. In particular, the risks of exposure to non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic substances were calculated. The hazard coefficient was used to determine to what extent the presence of each pollutant in the air has a negative impact, and which organ of the human body is exposed to the negative impact. The absence of a threat to public health was revealed. However, it is necessary to control emissions, since the risk can exceed the acceptable level. Possible sources of negative impacts are compared with the list of pollutants in the air. Measures to reduce the negative impact of pollutants on the environment on the example of Kemerovo were suggested.","PeriodicalId":322608,"journal":{"name":"XXI Century. The foreign word mobbing, which has been used by Russian researchers only for several years, is currently well known to lay people. Mobbing is a phenomenon of psychological violence, expressed in the long-term persecution of an employee in the workplace. This process is present in schools, universities and companies. The spread of psychological violence in different age groups and organizations indicates the conditions in Russian society contributing to its development - economic and political instability and pronounced social inequality. An important condition for mobbing processes is the corporate microclimate. Mobbing can be caused by an insignificant conflict in the workplace. Conflict situations arise when people interact. Victims of mobbing have an increased likelihood to deteriorate their psychological and physical health. The purpose of the work is to study mobbing processes in the education system. The study analyzes five educational institutions of Irkutsk region. The study was being conducted from October 2020 to October 2021. The most common methodological tool for studying mobbing are psychological methods; the survey of teachers was, therefore, conducted. Based on the survey analysis, mobbing processes in labor collectives were identified, and the most vulnerable categories of workers were identified. The key causes of mobbing processes in the workplace is indifference or even encouragement of aggressive behaviors. The launch of mobbing processes depends on the leader and staff. Employees satisfied with their jobs and corporate relationships work better and get sick less often. Therefore, it seems relevant to study the patterns that determine air pollution and its consequences, especially for industrialized cities. Based on the monitoring statistics for 2011–2020, an analysis of the air in six southern cities of Krasnoyarsk region was carried out. These are Achinsk, Kansk, Krasnoyarsk, Lesosibirsk, Minusinsk, and Nazarovo, where at least 50% of the regional population live. It was established that in all cities (except for Nazarovo), the values of the API5 index were high (less than 13) and very high (more than 14), despite the dynamics of their decline over the period under study. The positive trend was revealed for the content of carcinogenic benzo(a)pyrene in the atmosphere of all cities where the average annual and maximum average monthly values exceed MPCs.s. up to 18 and 90 times, depending on the year and city, respectively. Carcinogenic individual and population risks of benzo(a)pyrene for the health of the population were assessed as a borderline between acceptable and unacceptable values. An increase in oncological and general morbidity was observed. It has a positive correlation with the average content of benzo(a)pyrene in the air of the southern cities. According to the indicators of forest fires, the trend of increasing the area of forest fires was revealed, which linearly affects the content of benzo(a)pyrene. It was concluded that it is necessary to monitor the air state and assess and eliminate sources of atmospheric pollution.","PeriodicalId":322608,"journal":{"name":"XXI Century. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the self-healing process for mines at limestone quarries on the Crimean Peninsula. To assess the current state of mines and self-healing processes, field studies were conducted at the Inkerman saw limestone quarry. Using remote sensing resources, the areas of disturbed lands were determined. The route method made it possible to make floristic descriptions of vegetation. The influence of various factors on the self-healing of, including mining parameters, the size of quarries, the height of ledges, the width of berms, the angles of slopes, the composition of rocks in the surface layer, has been studied. The influence of the slope angles on the self-healing process was determined and their permissible values were justified; the hydrological conditions of the deposit were estimated. Factors affecting the intensity of self-healing were established. Radical changes in the landscape, destruction of flora and fauna, soils, a sharp decrease in the biological productivity of the territory, deterioration of sanitary and hygienic and aesthetic living conditions caused by the manmade relief were observed. Potential for the development of industrial limestone production and conditions for self-healing of the disturbed lands were evaluated. When completing mining operations, it is recommended to leave a layer of loose sediments with a capacity of 0.4–0.5 m on the rocky foundations (bottom and berms of ledges), including from destroyed minerals, and to form non-working sides of quarries by doubling and straining the ledges with simultaneous expansion of the berm while maintaining a stable slope angle.","PeriodicalId":322608,"journal":{"name":"XXI Century. The employer chooses a method for assessing occupational risks, taking into account a large number of parameters, including the degree of danger of works performed and possible consequences of risks. The bow tie method specifies the risks of high-risk production operations and analyzes the effectiveness of safety barriers. The purpose of the study is to apply the \"bow tie\" method in assessing the occupational risks and to develop ways to minimize them. The method is analyzed on the example of works performed during oil production. We used the statistical data of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision to identify the most common causes of accidental hydrocarbon leaks. We modelled incident trees and event trees to assemble bow tie models and analyze security barriers. This method was used to assess the risk of accidental releases of hydrocarbons. The incident tree was developed for the emergency release of hydrocarbons caused by the leakage of hydrocarbons from apparatuses, violations of the integrity of pipelines and tanks, depressurization of flanged and welded joints. Trees of events take into account equipment characteristics, possibilities of the method for assessing probabilities of both hazards and consequences. Security barriers were developed. They can be used in developing ways to minimize and assess risks. For the emergency release of hydrocarbons, the bow tie models show that a whole set of modern safety systems is required to ensure safety during oil and gas treatment operations.","PeriodicalId":322608,"journal":{"name":"XXI Century. The article describes the nature and types of professional stress, as well as activities of the Training Center of the Federal Fire Service in Chelyabinsk Region. It aims to identify guidelines in the normative labor functions of rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and firefighters for training programs to prepare fire service employees for stressful activities. To achieve this goal, labor functions of rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and firefighters were analyzed; training programs developed by the Training Center of the Federal Fire Service in Chelyabinsk region were assessed. The methods of comparative analysis and conversation with experts were used to identify pedagogical aspects of labor functions of fire service employees associated with their willingness to work under stress. The article established a relationship between the training programs and the development of readiness to perform labor functions under stress. The condition required for the training program to be efficient was determined. It involves attracting the psychological service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to hold methodical meetings and seminars. The positive result of this training is an adequate response to stress factors. The process of destroying chemical weapons is at the stage of eliminating consequences of activities and involving former destruction facilities in the economic turnover. The issue of development of safety systems is relevant. The purpose of the article is to study problems in the system of environmental safety insurance at chemical weapons destruction facilities and to identify possible ways of further development. The main methods used are analysis of information, induction, analogies, and generalization. The following conclusions were drawn: the environmental safety system fits into the system of safety insurance; the key subsystem is highly accurate and prompt environmental monitoring. Responding to the principles of the construction of head systems, complex monitoring systems were created at chemical weapons destruction facilities. The improvement of this subsystem can improve the environmental safety at these facilities; further development of the integrated environmental monitoring system requires the methods of data analysis and processing tools. Since the result of the monitoring system is information, its processing and interpretation is the most complex and time-consuming process. The use of modern information processing tools can reduce the time for an analysis, improve the quality, and create an information base for decision support systems in the environmental safety system. The research made it possible to outline further ways to improve the environmental safety systems at chemical weapons destruction facilities, which will further ensure the environmental safety and sustainability of chemical weapons destruction facilities and other potentially dangerous facilities that affect the environment.","PeriodicalId":322608,"journal":{"name":"XXI Century. Antibiotics get into water, animal and human bodies, where they can accumulate negatively affecting health. The aim of this article is to study the possibility of using natural aluminosilicate vermiculite sorbent from the Koksharovskoye field (Primorsky Region) for purifying fish processing and fish farming enterprises’ waste water from antibiotics (chloramphenicol, tetracycline, cefazolin, cefuroxime, ceftriaxone, cefepime and and ciprofloxacin) under static and dynamic conditions. The study was carried out on a model wastewater system with injected antibiotics. The purification ability of the model system using the method of spectrophotometric antibiotics detection is analyzed. Under static conditions, the total content of antibiotics varied from 0.25 mg to 1.00 mg per 1 g of sorbent. Under dynamic conditions, the antibiotic content was 0.025 mg per 1 g of sorbent. High values of absorption for all studied antibiotics, except for chloramphenicol, were achieved both in static and dynamic modes. For chloramphenicol, when examined under static conditions, the maximum absorption rate was 45% with the minimum total concentration of antibiotics. With an increase in the load on the sorbent, the degree of absorption decreased to 3%. Thus, vermiculite modified with 7% hydrochloric acid is a promising sorbent for cleaning water bodies from residual antibiotics.","PeriodicalId":322608,"journal":{"name":"XXI Century.
