However, current practice in multi-operational machining is a monitoring or inspection oriented measurement strategy which could not provide solutions for deviation reduction while deviation propagation and compensation are taken into account. While the deviation of some quality characteristic is not satisfactory and could not be controlled in the last operation, a partial least squares regression method is proposed to set up the relations between upstream operations and the last one. The regression result helps engineers to identify key processes with respect to their impacts on the last one, and to figure out possible solutions to reduce the deviation and thus makes the quality characteristic achieve the acceptable level. An industrial case is presented to illustrate our proposed methodology.","PeriodicalId":321964,"journal":{"name":"IEEE 2011 10th International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131247948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, its performance suffers from several mismatches. This paper introduces a BPNN-based compensation method to deal with the automatic compensation of timing skew, gain and offset mismatches simultaneously, and track the time-varying errors self-adaptively. During this process, temperature of slab surface is one of the most important parameters for controlling. It is one of the main reasons that to optimize casting speed, to determine intensity of the second cold and determine liquid depth. Therefore, it becomes an important research direction that controlling temperature of slab surface in continuous casting process. The slab surface temperature-measurement system of continuous casting based on CCD imaging have two typical implementations, such as combination of image acquisition card and computer, CCD image sensor with Nios II embedded soft-core processor etc. In this paper, the slab surface temperature-measurement system of continuous casting was designed on Cyclone 1C20 which is embedded soft-core processor. Our wrapper design algorithm is proposed on earlier approach by arranging the internal scan chains scientifically to archive lower testing time. The single input and single output neural network sliding mode control was achieved using D-FNN learning capability, which is not only can fully exert the characteristics of sliding mode control (SMC) which are insensitive to parameters change and disturbance, but also has the ability of fuzzy neural self-adjusting. In computer vision they are typically used to understand or classify the scenes captured by camera. In biomedical field they are typically used to provide non-intrusive disease identification. For example to classify a tissue samples as cancerous or not. In this paper we apply the learnings of this area to device an algorithm for automatic modulation detection problem. Automatic modulation detection problem in communication receivers involves auto detecting the modulation scheme from the received samples at the communication receiver without the prior knowledge of the encoded modulation scheme. The method can efficiently recognize almost all quadrature digital modulation schemes and the accuracy rate is over 95% at the SNRs of 4.5 dB with as low as 512 bits.
