The plant is observed by its appearance in the form of small hearths, with relatively high densities, in addition to and in the areas cultivated with wheat. On the one hand, there was an obvious spread in agricultural areas, and on the other hand, a certain culinary and medicinal interest increased. Its spread occurs through the relatively high number of seeds it produces and their persistence in the soil. Morphological characters have shown a continuous evolution, depending on the ecotype existing at a given time. Thus, the average plant measured 13 cm in height and weighed 0.12 g of dry matter. One plant had on average 35 top-like fruit formations, and the number of nuts on a plant was 28. The nuts were 1.8 mm long and 0.8 mm thick. and the mass of one thousand walnuts was at the level of the whole experiment of 0.57 g. Significant positive correlations were obtained between the height of the plants with their weight, with the number of fruit formations and with the number of seeds/ nuts. Negative correlations were between the length of the nuts and the other characters. The determinations performed showed that the weed also adapted to the current climatic conditions in the agricultural field, with the increase of the fruiting of the plants.","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131181479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was identified within the following villages: Cârcea, Lișteava, Radomir, and Poiana Mare from Dolj county. The number of individuals identified in the new settlements is comprised between four and twenty-two. Almost all specimens have reached the fruiting stage, which proves that the populations are characterized by viability and stability. The main causes that could trigger the reduction of the populations of this species are the decrease in the water regime and the influence of the zoo-anthropogenic factor.","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128840227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this research was to show the influence of the degree of maturation of the okra seeds on the germination of the Acme variety. The experience was carried out in 2022. The sowing variants were: seeds harvested from the capsules that reached physiological maturity (control); physiologically mature seeds soaked for 24 hours; seeds extracted from capsules which have not reached physiological maturity but which have a brown color; seeds extracted from capsules that have not reached physiological maturity and soaked. The results show that germination was influenced by the degree of seed maturity. The physiologically mature seeds soaked for 24 hours had the best germination (65%).","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116338411","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to reports, at the level of the SW Oltenia Region (with 5 counties), a number of 34 projects were accessed, distributed by county as follows: 12 in Dolj county (35% of the total number of projects), 5 each in Gorj and Mehedinți counties, 9 in Olt county (26% of the total number of projects) and 3 in Vâlcea county. From the total number of projects accessed, a number of 28 projects represented the establishment of new plantations and 6 projects aimed at modernization of holdings, i.e., a percentage of 82.3% is represented by new plantations. It is found that, at the level of the SW Oltenia Region, the fruit-growing areas have increased, which leads to the idea that from this point of view, the impact of the non-reimbursable funds was significant. The existence of future European programmes for the fruit-growing sector will allow the competitiveness of fruit-growing holdings to increase.","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124690250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Goulas","doi":"10.52846/bihpt.v27i63.30","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.52846/bihpt.v27i63.30","url":null,"abstract":"In recent years, the European Union's rural policies have focused on balanced rural development and, in particular, significant support for less-favored areas. This can be achieved through diversification strategies that focus on supporting and promoting local products in each region. The aim is to create synergies between local producers and various distributors to create and increase added value in the final local product. The importance of product quality has created a global trend in nutrition by helping to create a highly competitive food market. The quality and place of production aspect is a unique asset for maintaining global competitiveness. Consumers, in recent years, are increasingly interested in the origin of food not only for health reasons but also for an internal need to satisfy the lack of \"original\" and \"traditional\" flavors and flavors of their daily lives (Theodossiou, Goulas, Duquenne, 2017) and secondarily to support the protection of the environment and the conservation of biodiversity at the place of production.The global trend that has prevailed around the standardization of agricultural products has created an alternative trend of valuing and consuming typical products of an area. In these typical products, social participation and their quality are considered to enhance economic activity and can be a competitive advantage in domestic and international markets (Goodman 2003; Bowen & Mutersbaugh, 2014).Concerns about the environmental, economic, social and health risks inherent in global food systems have attracted both public and scientific attention to sustainability and food security. In this way, it is considered that sustainable development of food systems will be achieved. Thus, in recent decades, an increasing number of people in high-income countries, mainly, have turned to \"alternative food networks\".In the present research paper an attempt to study and present the categories of markets created by the global tendency of citizens to be interested in the origin and place of production of the food they consume will be reviewed in the existing literature. Mainly, the inhabitants of the big urban centers show a special interest in the way and the place of production of their food. Thus, the creation of various citizen movements was the expected development of this trend. In fact, according to Hinrichs (2000), specific citizen movements, such as Socially Supported Agriculture and Community-Based Agricultural Production have conquered many countries in Europe, America and Asia. However, in addition to these, the international literature mentions other markets of agricultural products, such as urban agriculture, specific and specialized delicatessens on agro - products, as well as short food supply chains.","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129730024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
