Most cultivated potatoes are susceptible to this disease. To NIRDPSB Brasov thirteen potato genotypes (leaves and tubers) were evaluated in laboratory conditions for phenotypic scoring against late blight. Isolates were collected from the greenhouse and inoculated with a complex race of late blight differentials (R1-R11). The best results both at the leaf and tuber level were obtained with the genotypes Sasa (R3) x Rustic (Cl1), Agria x Rustic (Cl 1), Sasa x Fribel and Sasa x Florice which provided a durable source of resistance and can be used in a future breeding program. Instead, the genotypes Sasa (R6) x Orchestra, Sasa (R8) x Orchestra, Sasa (R3) x Orchestra, Sasa (R7) x Orchestra showed sensitivity to the action of the pathogen.","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128122412","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These conditions left their mark on the phenolic and technological ripening of black grapes as raw material for winemaking. The red wines were made by applying a technological scheme, previously verified, and the resulting wines present a potential of intense color and aromas, realized through coloring intensity, high anthocyanins and polyphenols. Maturation of red wines in barriques insignificantly decreases the coloration, and the coloring intensity decreases by only 4-11%. This technology has proven to be reliable for obtaining quality red wines.","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131953580","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fertility of the shoots, recorded different values depending on the variety and climatic conditions. The relative fertility coefficient recorded both subunit and superunit values depending on the year, with one exception, the variety Fetească regală Cl. 21 Bl., where the values were only superunitary (1.13-1.67), while the maximum value of the absolute fertility coefficient was recorded for the variety Blasius, ranging from 1.23 to 2.10. In terms of average grape production, for the period 2013-2021, the varieties Brumariu stood out with a production value of 15828 kg/ha and Selena with 13729 kg/ha. At the opposite end of the scale were Columna (8095 kg/ha) and Donaris (7764 kg/ha). Total sugar content values at harvest maturity varied from variety to variety and from year to year. In this respect, the Selena variety came first, with an average total sugar content of 210 g/l. Columna had the lowest average total sugar content (167 g/l).","PeriodicalId":320599,"journal":{"name":"ANNALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CRAIOVA, Biology, Horticulture, Food products processing technology, Environmental engineering","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115200072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Six low positive temperature levels were used, including 1, 2, 4, 9, 16, and 26°C. Shock with low positive temperatures for 24 hours did not cause significantly changes in the final rate of germination.Treatment of seeds of maize hybrids with shock of positive low temperatures of 4°C, 2°C and 1°C for 24 hours had a significant impact on the radicle’s length and epicotyl’s height. These low positive temperatures predominantly influenced the growth of the epicotyls.
