These voice specific characteristics are called speech features. Over the past six decades many recent advances in the area of speaker recognition have been achieved, but still many problems remains to be solved or require better solutions. The main problems in speaker recognition are session variability, channel mismatch and recording conditions of voice. To develop an efficient speaker recognition system it needs to examine stable parameters of voice features parameters over time, unaffected from variation in speaking, background noise, channel distortion and robust against variation of physical problems. This paper overviews recent advances and general ideas of speaker recognition technology.","PeriodicalId":318809,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Enterprise Information System","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115927648","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cost, difficulties with maintenance and upgrade, and loss of vendor support are just some of the factors that cause customizations to fail. Enterprise mashups represent a new way of tailoring an ERP environment in close collaboration with users. We have developed two enterprise mashups for a multinational company in the fish feed industry. The paper describes and discusses how organizations may use mashup technology to improve their processes by customizing their ERP systems. Our study suggests that the case organization indeed has a potential for such improvement.","PeriodicalId":318809,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Enterprise Information System","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121727496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A sample of 450 employees was drawn from knowledge based industries. To tap the information regarding performance on knowledge sharing, Big Five personality, Emotional intelligence and work engagement, Knowledge Sharing Behavior (KSB) scale by Yi (2009) 56 , Big Five personality traits scale by Gosling et. al. (2003) 21 , Workgroup Emotional Intelligence Profile (WEIP-S) by Jordan & Lawrence (2009) 26 and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale by Schaufeli et. al. (2003) 46 have been used. Partial Least Square technique of Structural Equation Modeling was applied using SmartPLS 2.0.M3 to understand the proposed relationships. Findings show the prominence of conscientiousness among Big Five personality traits to explain knowledge sharing behaviors at workplace (Total Effect of conscientiousness on knowledge sharing being 0.5246 significant at p<0.01). Emotional intelligence proves to be the most important mediator of the relationship between Big Five traits, except agreeableness, and knowledge sharing. Even though work engagement is found to be a significant predictor of knowledge sharing (Total Effect of work engagement on knowledge sharing being 0.1698, significant at p<0.01), its role as a mediator is minor. Although the paper has certain limitations, nevertheless, this is the first study to consider the relationship between personality, emotional intelligence, work engagement and knowledge sharing in a single study and making us understand the interacting and mediating role of emotional intelligence and work engagement to explain knowledge sharing.","PeriodicalId":318809,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Enterprise Information System","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125173553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Human resources are the assets for an organisation. These assets play a major role towards enhancing the performance of a company. HRM Practices facilitate the development of completeness among the company employees that are specific to an organisation. Strategic HRM focuses on the setting up of a causal link between the overall strategic objectives of an organisation and its HR strategy and its implementation. This research concludes that there exists a positive relationship between good HR practices and business performance. The understanding of casual linkage between the SHRM practices and organisational performance of business enables the HR managers to design programmes that would lead to better operational results. It also helps the organisation to perform better and achieve higher goals. In this paper, the concept that human resources are an important source of competitive advantages has been emphasised. Thereafter, SHRM is defined. Specific examples from academic researchers have been considered to emphasise the influence of SHRM practices on the performance of an organisation. The conclusion reached is that the way an organisation manages, and sustains its human resources has a remarkable relationship with its performance and achievements.","PeriodicalId":318809,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Enterprise Information System","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129252993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is evident from observed data that the impact of demonetization on Gross Value Added growth was modest. Although the Gross Value Added contracted marginally, it is projected to be positive in coming years. In the beginning it negatively impacted the segments of manufacturing and service sector showing the downward movement in various markets such as automobiles, consumer, real estate etc. Later with the remonetization and lower lending rates the growth of an economy has been recovering fast through increase in private consumption, disposable income and affordable loan. With digitization economy is moving towards cashless society and will bring more transparency in the system reducing tax evasion thereby curbing the use of black money for illegal activities and terror funding.","PeriodicalId":318809,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Enterprise Information System","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128027993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
