The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategies of Islamic colleges in coastal areas in building their institutional brands. This research is a case study using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study are the strategies used by IAINU and IAI TABAH in building a brand in accordance with Hermawan Kertajaya's PDB Triangle strategy: 1) Positioning is clarifying campus icons; 2) Differentiation is making the campus characteristic, IAINU Tuban as a religious social entrepreneur campus and having the character of ahlussunnah wal jama'ah an nahdhiyah. Meanwhile, IAI TABAH Lamongan as a center for the development of Islamic science and competitiveness; 3) Brand is making the motto of each institution. The conclusion of Maslow's theory of needs aims to make individuals as good human being as possible. The research method used is a qualitative phenomenological approach. The data source comes from the head of FTIK Salatiga State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN), five lecturers, and 25 students. The study concludes: (1) stage of value transaction is conducted in every college activity either inside the class or in the campus environment by considering laws, social regulations, and obligations attached to every student in preparing them to return serving the community and state as well as religion. (2) Stage of the social contract. In this stage, the student has acted by considering that they have certain obligations toward society and certain obligations to them. (3) Trans-internalization stage; students have found values, and they regard them as universal values that influence an individual’s character. Empirical facts show that high school-age children are very vulnerable to infecting radicalism. This is confirmed by surveys of research institutions that can be trusted. From this fact, schools / madrasas must start teaching that is able to ward off radicalism. Al-Qur'an subjects Hadith in Madrasas or Islamic religious education in secondary schools must be planned using the concept of learning anti-radicalism. One learning model that can be used is a scientific learning model. In the context of al-Qur'an material and hadith, students must be taught and introduced to study the Qur'an as a method of thinking. Thus, the understanding of the Qur'an and Hadith can be understood in its socio-historical context. Understanding related to asbab an-nuzul, makiyah-madaniyah and other analytical tools can be used so that the understanding of the Qur'an and non-intellectual traditions. This article seeks to prove that scientific learning can be used as a model of anti-radicalism learning. Learning the scientific model begins with observing, asking, gathering information, processing information, and communicating. With the steps of scientific learning in the material al-Qur'an and the hadith, allowing learning to be done by using theories of facilitation. Students can observe the cases that occur around them by observing news media online and also the understanding of the Qur'an and hadith from various sources. The information processing stage can be used so that the critical power of students towards the results of the interpretation of the Qur'an increases. Students can also discuss the results of gathering information obtained with their peers and the teacher becomes the facilitator. The ideal format of Islamic religious colleges in achieving quality is the wider concept of science in the Islamic view; conceptualization; the existence of an academic community that has a soul of devotion, discipline, and critical understanding; selection of students as supporting the achievement of quality improvement; as well as academic traditions. In reality, the quality of Islamic religious college as a potential resource is still far from expectations. This happens, in addition to the low quality of education in Islamic religious colleges, also caused by the lack of effort and efforts of academic civitas reach toward quality. Thus, describing the conditions among them is the low education service and the low literacy ability of Islamic religious college students. Practically this reality shows that education in Islamic religious colleges today is experiencing many challenges and problems. Automatically these conditions have a direct impact with the resulting output. The study was conducted at State High School 3 Serang City, Banten Province. The research method uses correlational analysis. The study sample was taken as many as 40 (forty) students who are still actively learning in the current school year. Research data were collected through a validated questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation techniques through the help of the SPSS version 16.00 application. The results showed a weak positive relationship between the intensity of the use of Android media with the interest in learning of students in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This idea may be interesting to review since the materialistic living in global culture has brought anxiety concerning a moral ethics alteration of youth that becomes uncontrolled. From this side, therefore, pesantren (Islamic boarding school) becomes the solution to form spirituality value through BTA-PPI Graduated Compulsory which is programmed educationally by IAIN Purwokerto. Students, who failed BTA-PPI, must \"mondok\" (be quarantined in a boarding house) until they are really mastered the materials which are able to be carried out well in daily life. As a result, this kind of establishment which is held by BTA-PPI leads the students of IAIN Purwokerto to implement succesfully by knowing tartil and tajwid properly, understanding imla pattern and the importance of Qur'an short verses (juz 30).
