The pesantren used as a research site is Pesantren of Miftahul Ulum, Suren, Jember. To delve into the focus of this research, the researcher, thus, tried to understand and interpret the development of the pesantren from the perspective of social capital. To achieve these objectives, this research was conducted by using a qualitative approach with the type of phenomenology using a single site design. The data collection technique used was participant observation, so that researcher could participate in every Islamic boarding school's institutional and educational programs. This research finds that social capital is able to transform pesantren from institution with an isolative-traditionalist paradigmatic system to a modernist synthesis. Even the education system is from a dichotomous to a non-dichotomous system (a pattern of education that is oriented towards spiritualistic-humanist values); theocentric to theoanthropocentric pattern. It needs to be understood wisely to be able to deliver successful educational goals. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach with library research methods. The results showed that Islamic religious education in elementary school is quite unique, if in the past the mind of the child is still imaginative and egocentric then at this time the child's mind develops towards concrete, rational and objective thinking. The scope of islamic religious education study is the Qur'an, religion, morals, fiqh /worship, and islamic cultural history. The method of education that can be applied refers to the Qurani method namely amstal method, qishah method, ibrah mauidzah method, hiwar jadali method, uswah hasanah method, and targhib tarhib method. Meanwhile, Islamic education can be carried out verbally or non verbally, writing or non-writing aimed at measuring intellectual komptensi, social competence, social competence and spiritual competence. The success of the learning process will be achieved if it is based on established learning planning and healthy learning conditions. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, learning patterns have changed. The government enforces an emergency curriculum with the aim of continuing the learning process properly. The learning system changed which originally immediately became an online system. English translation.  Of course, this also requires all teachers, including PAI teachers, to innovate in planning learning with an online system. This research was conducted to find out the process of how PAI teachers can design PAI learning planning that is in accordance with the pandemic situation based on the emergency curriculum that has now been implemented. The method is done by using descriptive qualitative. In addition to examining relevant verses of the Qur'an, this study is also equipped with a reflection method, which is a method that seeks to reflect the author's knowledge and experience in the current context, so that the author's knowledge and experience are used as a mirror in understanding the realities and problems of Muslims. Thus, it can be seen from the method of text interpretation and the implementation of over-textual and rigid interpretations in religious studies that are very instant and indoctrinal; which resulted in the spread of 'radicalism'. This aspect forgets the essence of Islamic education which emphasizes tolerance, courtesy, and love for peace. Conversely, Islamic studies that are too contextual, will eliminate the epistemological footing; that is, their identity and essence, because they merely follow all the social changes that continue to occur without regard to the wisdom and wisdom of local wisdom. Thus, the search for knowledge is no longer sacred and then encourages the loss of etiquette (loss of adab). Therefore, conceptual efforts in Islamic education need to be carried out appropriately. This qualitative model study seeks to collect fragments and data from various studies based on Islamic turots on the fardhu ‘ain and fardhu kifayah models and their relevance in various contexts of Islamic studies such as integrative aspects between religious science and social science and contemporary technology. Through content analysis, thematic analysis as well as critical discourse analysis. Still, the learning process must continue even though it is limited. This study aims to determine curriculum adaptation during the Covid-19 pandemic, teacher strategies, and its impact on MI Salafiyah Tajungsari and SDN Sitiluhur 02. This type of research used qualitative field studies with data sources for school principals, curriculum development teams, and teachers. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, concluding, and verification. The technique of testing the validity of the data used triangulation of sources and methods. The research findings showed that MI Salafiyah Tajungsari uses an emergency curriculum with essential materials, while SDN Sitiluhur 02 uses a curriculum that simplifies critical competencies. The learning strategies used by teachers include online and offline. The difference lies offline. Offline at MI Salafiyah Tajungsari held limited face-to-face meetings, while offline at SDN Sitiluhur 02, students carried out the tasks assigned by the teacher and submitted their work to school. The method used in this research is a case study with a research approach using qualitative methods to obtain information in the form of interview data and documentation about the implementation of the ADDIE model learning design at MTs Assathi’ Karas. The application of the ADDIE model assisted by Autoplay media has gone through five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This qualitative research used purposive sampling technique to select the informants between students and lecturers. The data collections were analysed by using the Creswell method, such as data collection, organization, reading, memo, description, classification, interpretation, and visualization. The study showed that integrating pluralism and multicultural education was conducted through selecting content integration, using cooperative learning method, constructing knowledge, reducing prejudices, and evaluating the learning process. So far, the Sunni-Shia relationship has been depicted in a conflictual scheme. The research method was qualitative from the sociology of education perspective. Through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation techniques, this study showed that the atmosphere of peace between Sunni-Shia in Banjaran is reflected in the social works of humanity, organizations and Islamic educational institutions. Multicultural education cannot be separated from the role of formal and non-formal Islamic education institutions such as TPQ Al-Husainiah (Shia), TPQ Ma'arif 17 KH. Muhammad Arif (Sunni) and MI Mabadil Huda (Sunni). The kinship also has a contribution to maintaining Sunni-Shia harmony in Banjaran. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of multicultural Islamic education models in rural.
