In the visualization of 3D medical images, it is common to adjust frequently the Opacity Transfer Function(OTF) and viewing angle so that volume rendering is difficult to be realized in real-time. And in traditional perspective Shear-Warp there are the aliasing and staircase effects resulting from under-sampling. In order to efficiently and effectively reconstruct 3D medical images, a novel Rapid Pre-Integrated Perspective Volume Rendering(RPPVR) method of medical data sets based on Pre-integrated volume rendering and Shear-Warp algorithm is proposed in this paper. In the proposed method, classification coding for volume data is implemented by making use of the correlation of opacity transfer function and min-max Octree data structure. On this basis, the new run-length encoded(RLE) data structure can be established rapidly so that fast reconstruction can be done when opacity transfer function and view angle change. Moreover, the aliasing artifacts resulted from under-sampling can be eliminated by pre-integrated volume rendering technique incorporated the shading calculation of Phong lighting model, thus improving the reconstruction effect. This study demonstrates the superiority of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128556600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The accessibility of the robot can be reinforced in the narrow space by changing the configurations. In this paper, a path planning method is presented corresponding to the unique reconfigurable ability of the robot. This method can automatically adjust the computational cost according to the distribution of obstacles in robot's surrounding environment and can automatically select the configuration according to the width of the narrow space. So the robot can reach the target quickly and safely, and the unique accessibility of the shape-shifting robot is fully displayed. The deadlock situation is effectively solved by using the method of the boundary following. It has been validated through simulation results that the robot can change its own configurations to perform the path planning according to the environmental variation. As a result, the length of the path has been reduced effectively.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128655035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Decision process control could be divided into three stages: decision task decomposition, decision process programming and decision task scheduling. In first stage, system evaluated that decision task could find out whether there was a decision model which can solve the task or not according to the domain ontology described semantics of decision task and decision model. And then the decision task which can not solve by existing decision models would be decomposed into subtasks according to its semantics. Further, system can program the timing semantics of decision task and organization relationships between decision tasks in second stage. Finally, we presented the preorder task scheduling algorithm and interruption task scheduling algorithm through timing semantics and organization relationships for decision process control.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124641669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
