Based on this point, the optical modulations have being studied and it was found that the external modulation using lithium niobate ( LiNbO3 ) electro-optics modulator in Brillouin distribution fiber sensing system was good choice. This paper introduced this kind of modulation, including its mechanism, its operation principle. As a result, the optimum optical pulse was gotten under the condition that the modulator was operated correctly.
