Due to its presentation, it can be mistaken for Bartholin’s abscess, leiomyoma, or Gartner’s cyst. It has a low recurrence rate, but it has to be differentiated histopathologically from aggressive angiomyxoma. We present a case of AMFB of the vulva in a 40-year-old female who presented with swelling over the vulva.","PeriodicalId":312076,"journal":{"name":"Exclusive Real World Evidence Journal","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115736360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to assess to explore the knowledge and practice of emergency contraception among women with induced abortion in Sikkim. Objective: To explore the knowledge, attitude, and barriers to the practice of emergency contraception among women with induced abortion in Sikkim. Methods: In this study, 280 women between the ages of 15 and 45 years who had a history of induced abortion participated. The research is conducted at Central Referral Hospital, Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim to learn about attitudes about and obstacles to using emergency contraception among women who had induced abortions. Results: Out of the total, 78% of respondents have knowledge about unprotected intercourse or a failure of the contraceptive method, and 21.5% of respondents have no knowledge about it. 75% of respondents have a positive attitude, and 25% of respondents have a negative attitude. The participants experienced adverse reactions such as nausea/vomiting, and 53% of respondents experienced excessive bleeding. Conclusion: The present study concluded that information about EC is not sufficiently present among the women living in Sikkim. They lack information about the dosage of EC, usage timing as well as its impact. The awareness programs will help to educate the females more about contraceptives and to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies.","PeriodicalId":312076,"journal":{"name":"Exclusive Real World Evidence Journal","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131371073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Diabetic dyslipidaemia in India is one of the main causes of mortality in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients. In India, although diabetes continues to be a major lifestyle condition, still there is a lack of studies on whether dyslipidaemia in Indian diabetics is being adequately controlled. This study aims to investigate the prevalence of sexual dysfunction and its risk factors among women with diabetes. Objective: To assess the factors affecting female sexual dysfunction in T2DM women in Kanpur. Methods: In this observational study, 100 patients were selected from women attending the diabetic clinic, Regency Hospital, Kanpur, India. We assessed the factors associated with sexual dysfunction in the T2DM female population of Kanpur, India. The data were analyzed using SPSS software (version 25). The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics tools that included mean, and standard deviation. Results: In this study 100 T2DM women were involved with an age range of 22-62 years and a mean age of 45.02 ± 8.66 years. The study calculates Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) using a pre-structured FSFI questionnaire. We observed a statistically strong association (P<0.05) between different parameters like age, BMI, waist circumference, duration of the marriage, and pain domain with glycemic control in the female with sexual dysfunction in our study. The prevalence of female sexual dysfunction in our study was around 18%. Conclusion: Despite the several challenges in conducting the study in a population with socio-cultural inhibition to openly discuss sexuality-related queries, this study has successfully captured the lingering pattern of FSD and the associated factors in women from the urban part of North India. Many cases were diagnosed by way of the autopsy. Delays in diagnosis often adversely impact patients' consequences. This case report emphasizes the need for timely identification and careful management of pituitary carcinoma. We report a medical staff nurse aged 29 years female presented with complaints of sudden severe headaches and was admitted to a local hospital. She was given symptomatic treatment. All blood investigations were normal. MRI with contrast revealed an isointense to a hypointense lesion in the pituitary fossa with an irregular central mass of necrosis. She was treated with surgery and radiation. Pituitary carcinoma is a very rare entity. In recent years, more attention has been paid to achieving systemic drug action through the nose as an entry point into the body. It is considered a very popular and attractive route for needleless vaccination. It is the choice route for the treatment of local diseases like allergic, non-allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis in nasal-paranasal sinuses. The nasal airway helps to protect the lungs from hazardous exposure. Nasal delivery helps to overcome poor bioavailability, slow absorption, and enzymatic degradation and helps to avoid first-pass metabolism. It also achieves systemic delivery through rapid absorption to give the desired effect. The various devices commonly include nebulizers, dry powder inhalers, nasal spray, nasal implants, etc. This review is mainly focused on the mechanism of nasal absorption, administration of drugs via the nasal route, various devices used in nasal administration, and recent advances to minimize clinical hazards. Clinical imaging research has established a robust direct correlation between epicardial fat and abdominal visceral adiposity. This study aimed to assess the association of epicardial fat thickness (EFT) with CAD in patients. Objective: To find the association between EFT, Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels, and angiographic severity by SYNTAX score. Methods: This prospective observational study involved 321 patients with suspected CAD patients undergoing catheter coronary angiography. Epicardial fat thickness was measured by means of transthoracic echocardiography within 90 days after coronary angiography. The severity of coronary atherosclerotic lesions become evaluated from at least 3 projections in all of the sufferers. The angiographic characteristics of the coronary atherosclerotic lesion have been defined using the SYNTAX score. Results: 321 patients took part in this study; the sex distribution has 259 male subjects (80.7%) and 62 female subjects (19.3%). LDL cholesterol levels <100 mg/dl are present in 75.1% (241 subjects) of the study population. The categories and variables were analyzed, and they show a significant correlation between epicardial fat thickness and SYNTAX score with a p-value of <0.0001. A significant correlation has been observed between LDL cholesterol levels and the angiographic severity of CAD by the SYNTAX score. Conclusion: This study suggests that there is a significant correlation between LDL cholesterol levels, EFT and angiographic severity, and complexity of the coronary lesions by the SYNTAX score.
