Brog and Gall model was referred as the framework to develop the product. It comprises some stages, namely, analyzing potential and problems, collecting information, developing the module’s initial design, validating the design, revising the design, and trying out the product. The appointed experts in product development and learning as well as high school biology teachers in Biology Teachers’ Association (MGMP) validated the product. The validation showed that the product is practical and valid to be used. The module is also effective for learning, as evidenced by the PBL activities reaching “high” category and by the improvement of the students’ cognitive domain represented in the improvement of the initial average score. Key Words : problem-based learning module, cognitive learning outcomes, biotechnology concepts Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui efektivitas modul pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk SMA pada konsep Bioteknologi. Model pengembangan merujuk dari Brog dan Gall. Tahapan pengembangan terdiri atas analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan informasi, penyusunan desain awal modul, validasi desain, revisi desain, dan ujicoba produk. Validasi produk dilakukan oleh Pakar Pengembangan, Pembelajaran dan guru Biologi SMA melalui kegiatan Musyarawah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Biologi. Hasil penilaian pakar menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis untuk digunakan. Modul ini juga efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran, aktivitas PBL mencapai kategori “tinggi”, serta meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. This study was a qualitative design research. The data obtained in this study was collected from Mathematic assignment exercise sheets. The source of the data was obtained from think alouds, transcribed interview, and video during assignment completion and interview. The data obtained, then, were analyzed using interactive qualitative analysis technique. The result of this study was examined and described qualitatively. In accordance with the theoretical framework established, the results of this study are described in three groups classification which possess different characteristics such as internal structurization, connective external structurization, and extension external structurization. Key Words: competence of reasoning, analogy reasoning, algebra problem Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membahas pengertian dan definisi kemampuan penalaran analogi disertai dengan contoh bagaimana kompetensi penalaran analogi tersebut dirumuskan dalam bentuk komponen-komponen penalaran analogi serta indikatornya. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari data hasil lembar tugas matematika. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari hasil thinks alouds , wawancara yang ditranskripkan, dan video selama subjek mengerjakan lembar tugas serta wawancara. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dengan model teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini dikaji dan dideskripsikan secara kualitatif. Berdasarkan kerangka teori yang dibangun, hasil penelitian ini dipaparkan dalam tiga kelompok yang memiliki karakteristik berbeda yaitu penstrukturan internal, penstrukturan eksternal konektif, dan penstrukturan eksternal ekstensi. The package manifests in a syllabus, lesson plans, and a module. The developmental model proposed by Dick and Carey (2009) was employed and adapted in the study. The instructional testing was carried out through three stages, namely, expert appraisal, small group test and main field test. The results of the study showed that the research produced a learning package with high validity, practicality, and efficacy. It was evidenced by the results of expert validation and developmental testing that reached 88.42% indicating high validity. RQA has potential to optimize the critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcome of students. The aim of this study is to compare the critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcome among students with different academic ability through RQA strategy. The subjects are students in X grade of SMA Al-Khairat and SMAN 5 Ternate. The result showed that the critical thinking skills percentage of low academic ability students is higher 5.691% than high academic ability students, and the cognitive learning outcome percentage of low academic students is higher 7.067% than high academic students. Therefore, RQA able to empower the critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes of low academic ability students Key Words : Critical Thinking Skills, Cognitive learning Outcome, Academic Ability, RQA strategy Abstrak : Upaya pemerataan pendidikan dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran Reading Questioning Answering (RQA). RQA diketahui berpotensi untuk mengoptimalkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbandingan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif antara siswa berkemampuan akademik berbeda melalui strategi RQA. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA AL-Khairaat dan SMA N 5 Kota Ternate.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata presentase peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa berkemampuan akademik rendah lebih tinggi 5,691% dibandingkan siswa berkemampuan akademik tinggi sedangkan rata-rata presentase peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa berkemampuan akademik rendah lebih tinggi 7,067% dibandingkan siswa berkemampuan akademik tinggi. One of those is how students’ assumption on physics as something abstract and can not be verified by experiment, because of the unavailability of laboratory and equipment in schools. This study aims to assess if students’ scientific work skills learned through Guided Inquiry method employing Virtual Laboratory is higher than those learned through conventional method. The research used quasi-experimental research method with the Non-equivalent control group design. The data was analyzed by using ANCOVA test. The results showed that when covariable controlled the prior knowledge, students’ scientific working skill is higher with guided inquiry method employing virtual laboratory than those who learned through conventional learning. Key Words : guided inquiry, virtual labs, scientific working skill Abstrak : Banyak kendala yang harus dihadapi dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran fisika. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan, salah satu kendalanya adalah anggapan siswa bahwa materi fisika merupakan sesuatu yang abstrak dan tidak bisa dibuktikan kebenarannya dengan eksperimen di sekolah, karena tidak tersedianya peralatan laboratory. Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan kerja ilmiah siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran guided Inquiry berbantuan Laboratory virtual. Metode penelitian yang di implimentasikan adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian Non-equivalent control-group design . Analisis data menggunakan uji ANCOVA. Learning outcomes are related to the metacognitive of student where the elements contained in metacognitive is cognitive. The relationship between cognitive and metacognitive which is the foundation of cognitive is metacognitive. There are two components such as knowledge of metacognitive and regulation of metacognitive. In the learning process, cognitive factors are not the only one that can support, but also a metacognitive factor is a very influential factor for the success of the learning process. Thus, it is very important to do with a deeper analysis about metacognitive by identifying me-tacognitive level to support the learning process. Identification of metacognitive is performed by using Naive Bayes Classifier algorithm (NBC) which NBC is one of an algorithm that is used for classification algorithm for data mining. In these studies, it is obtained that the accuracy scored 88,0597% when tested using NBC. Hubungan antara kognitif dan metakognitif merupakan dasar dari kognitif adalah metakognitif. Terdapat dua komponen dalam pengetahuan metakognitif dan regulasi metakognitif. Dalam proses pembelajaran, faktor kognitif bukan satu-satunya yang dapat mendukung, tetapi juga faktor metakognitif adalah faktor yang sangat berpengaruh bagi keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Jadi, sangat penting untuk melakukan analisis yang lebih mendalam tentang metakognitif dengan mengidentifikasi tingkat metakognitif untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Identifikasi metakognitif dilakukan dengan menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes Classifier (NBC) dimana NBC merupakan salah satu algoritma yang digunakan untuk algoritma klasifikasi untuk data mining. Dalam penelitian tersebut diperoleh bahwa nilai akurasi adalah 88,0597% saat diuji menggunakan NBC. The practical subject is Laboratory Component (LC). It is a compulsory subject for first-year students of bachelor of the engineering program. Students may do practically in conventional laboratories or by using Internet-based remote laboratory (RL). An experiment was conducted to explore the students’ preference for practical approaches. Most students prefer the RL schedule flexibility while the others like to do real component wiring in an electrical laboratory. The combination between proximal and remote laboratories may become the best approach to delivering the LC practical. Key Words : real laboratory, remote laboratory, laboratory component Abstrak : Tulisan ini menjelaskan kegiatan praktis pada matakuliah Electrical Energy Systems (EES) di University of South Australia (UniSA). Subjek praktis dalam penelitian ini adalah Laboratory Component (LC). Sebagai matakuliah wajib untuk mahasiswa tahun pertama dari sarjana program rekayasa. Siswa diharapkan dapat melakukan praktek di laboratorium konvensional atau dengan menggunakan remote laboratorium berbasis internet (RL). Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi preferensi siswa pada pendekatan praktis. Kebanyakan siswa lebih suka fleksibilitas jadwal RL sementara yang lain ingin melakukan real component wiring di laboratorium listrik. Kombinasi antara laboratorium proksimal dan terpencil mungkin menjadi pendekatan terbaik untuk memberikan LC praktis. This paper proposes new training device which consists of separated circuit blocks (module). For example, induction generator, inverter, capacitor, measurement, are used. The trainee selects and assembles them to build a circuit then easy to conduct an experiment. This methodology is effective for group work so as it may be used for PBL (Project Based Learning) program. The concept and required skill to build this device are introduced in this paper. This research used development research design 4D model suggested by Thiagarajan and limited only to the development level. The developed instructional materials are validated by the expert of instructional materials, the expert in the subject, the science teacher, then, the learning device tested on eight graders of SMPN 2 Jember to discover the readability of LKPD. The validation test result from all validators showed that the science instructional materials based on the salingtemas and guided inquiry have categorized as valid. The readability evaluative result showed that the LKPD can be used in learning process, and the totality the science instructional materials based on salingtemas and guided inquiry effectively used on learning process. Key Words : instructional materials, integrated understanding, salingtemas, guided inquiry Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA di SMP berbasis salingtemas dan inkuiri terbimbing untuk membentuk pemahaman terintegrasi dan mengetahui tingkat validitas dan kelayakan produk perangkat pembelajaran yang berupa silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), instrumen penilaian, dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian pengembangan model 4D dari Thiagarajan, yang dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap develop. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh ahli perangkat pembelajaran, ahli materi dan guru IPA, kemudian diujicobakan pada peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 2 Jember untuk mengetahui aspek keterbacaan LKPD. Hasil validasi dari seluruh validator menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis salingtemas dan inkuiri terbimbing memiliki kategori layak/valid. Hasil penilaian keterbacaan menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis salingtemas dan inkuiri terbimbing efektif dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. This Qualitative research with descriptive approach was conducted in four public vocational high schools selected with a population of 48 people selected through simple random sampling method. Interview, observation methods together with school websites were used in data collection with school management and Information Technology teachers as the subject. The study findings showed that cooperation between vocational high schools with industries exists in several forms namely: internship for both teachers and students, on-job training, student assessment and recruitment as well as curriculum synchronization. The study also revealed some challenges facing vocational education. Key Words : vocational high school, cooperation, industries, information technology Abstrak : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antara kerja sama SMK dengan industri di bidang teknologi informasi di Kota Malang. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif ini dilakukan di empat SMK Negeri yang dipilih dengan populasi 48 orang yang dipilih melalui metode simple random sampling. Wawancara dan metode observasi bersama pada website sekolah digunakan dalam pengumpulan data dengan manajemen sekolah dan guru Teknologi Informasi sebagai subjek-nya. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kerja sama antara SMK dengan industri ada dalam beberapa bentuk, yaitu dalam bentuk kerjasama magang baik untuk guru dan siswa, pelatihan di tempat kerja, penilaian siswa, dan rekrutmen serta sinkronisasi kurikulum. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi pendidikan kejuruan.
