Numa sociedade onde as tecnologias digitais sao vistas como um meio facilitador das aprendizagens, apresentamos um projeto de investigacao-intervencao educativa onde se visa sensibilizar um grupo de criancas da educacao pre-escolar para a diversidade linguistica, com recurso ao quadro interativo multimedia. Os resultados obtidos neste estudo demonstram que o contacto com o quadro interativo multimedia, conhecido pelas suas potencialidades educativas, possibilitou nas criancas o desenvolvimento da sua consciencia linguistica das criancas, da literacia, assim como de competencias tecnologicas. Abstract: In our days, the linguistic and cultural diversity is reflected in every school and as an opportunity for other forms of learning, by sharing ways of living and communicating. In a society where digital technologies are a facilitator of ways of learning, we present an educational research intervention project with the aim of sensitize a pre-school children’s group to linguistic diversity, using the interactive whiteboard. The results of this study show that the contact with the interactive multimedia whiteboard, known for its educational potential, enabled children to develop linguistic awareness, literacy and technological skills. Esta reflexao resulta da oficina de Expressao Plastica, sob o tema “Cartografias Coletivas”, realizada com um grupo de criancas entre os 8 e os 9 anos, onde se criaram percursos reais e/ou imaginarios, projetados da respetiva intimidade, partilhada no grupo. Esta oficina desenvolve uma experiencia estetica e artistica que se baseia numa metodologia de observacao acao participada, que na literatura e apontada como propiciadora do desenvolvimento de uma relacao entre: sensibilidade, criatividade, imaginacao e curiosidade. Collective Cartographies Abstract This article presents a reflection on Art Education as part of an interdisciplinary school curriculum where free expression is of core subject. This reflection is a result of a visual arts workshop entitled “Collective Cartographies” made possible with a group of children between 8 and 9 years old, with whom real or imaginary courses were charted and shared collectively. The aim of this workshop was to create an esthetic and artistic experience, based on a methodology that the theory implies to be the driving force of the relationship development between: sensibility, creativity, imagination and curiosity. Entendemos que, para encontrar as respostas a estes desafios, e necessario auscultar os alunos sobre a Escola do Futuro, tendo por base os seguintes objetivos: i) perceber como os alunos perspetivam a Escola do Futuro; ii) coligir um conjunto de contributos de suporte a sua transformacao. Trata-se de uma investigacao de natureza qualitativa que envolve uma abordagem naturalista e interpretativa, onde se utilizou como recolha de dados a observacao participante e a analise documental. No total, o projeto envolveu 90 criancas e 5 professores. Os dados recolhidos permitiram concluir que a Escola tem de ser objeto de uma (re)formulacao atendendo aos desafios da atualidade. We understand that, in order to find the answers to these challenges, it is necessary to listen to the students about the School of the Future, based on the following objectives: i) to understand how the students are prospective of the School of the Future; ii) collect a set of support contributions to its transformation. It is an investigation of a qualitative nature that involves a naturalistic and interpretative approach, in which participant observation and documentary analysis were used as data collection. In total, the project involved 90 children and 5 teachers. The collected data allowed to conclude that the School has to be object of a (re) formulation taking into account the current challenges. Apresentam-se algumas propostas que podem servir de base para reflexao sobre: 1) se a educacao formal e nao formal responde ou nao a este proposito; 2) como fazer face as tradicoes escolares modernistas que estao instaladas e que obstruem os autenticos desejos e motivacoes de ensinar das docentes e das educadoras de museu. Na Regiao Autonoma da Madeira (Portugal), o Governo Regional, atraves do seu Servico de Educacao Artistica e Multimedia, comecou no ano letivo 1987-88 um projeto educativo de defesa dos instrumentos populares madeirenses nas escolas, que constitui um interessante caso de estudo e que podera servir de modelo para a integracao do patrimonio regional em contexto educativo. No inicio do projeto, os instrumentos estavam a cair em desuso e eram raras as criancas e jovens em idade escolar que os tocavam. Apos tres decadas de implementacao do projeto, assiste-se a uma revalorizacao da pratica destes instrumentos, existindo milhares de alunos a toca-los nas escolas e em grupos artisticos. Deste modo, este projeto e atualmente uma das referencias portuguesas de preservacao e divulgacao dos instrumentos populares em contexto educativo. The introduction of popular instruments in an educational context: the school as a defense agent of local culture in a globalized world Abstract In a globalized world, local and regional culture is in danger of disappearing, and the “school of the future” plays an important role in the defense and promotion of artistic heritage, related to the identity of the community in which it operates. The Regional Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (Portugal) through its Department of Arts and Multimedia Education (DSEAM) started an educational project in 1987-88 to defend the popular Madeiran instruments in schools, which is an interesting case study and which can serve as a model for the integration of regional heritage into an educational context. At the beginning of the project, the instruments were falling into disuse and children and school-age youths who played these instruments were rare. After three decades of project implementation, there is a revaluation of the practice of these instruments, with thousands of students playing them in schools and artistic groups including these instruments in their music group formations. Thus, this project is currently one of the Portuguese references for the preservation and dissemination of popular instruments in an educational context.
