ZnO thin films were prepared by sol-gel spin coating technique on the ITO substrate. The deposited thin films were annealed at 300°C in a furnace with variation of annealing time of 30, 60 and 120 minutes. The electrical properties were characterized to obtain the pinched hysteresis loop graph to calculate its Roff/Ron ratio. The sample annealed for 60 minutes has the best switching behavior with highest Roff/Ron ratio of 1.744. Using qualitative research design, data was collected through semi-structured interview with the officers in charge of environment at the Northport, Klang, Malaysia. Findings indicate that strategies implemented by the port have been successful in reducing emission and improve air quality, a big step to being environmentally sustainable. The composite thin films were applied as the sensing membrane of an Extended Gate Field-Effect Transistor (EGFET) based pH sensor. TiO2 and ZnO were deposited on Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) by using sol-gel spin-coating process. The effects of the varied parameter on the sensor sensitivity and linearity were also investigated. The sensitivity of the TiO2 thin film towards pH buffer solution was measured by dipping the sensing membrane in pH4, pH7 and pH10 buffer solution. In addition, these thin films were characterized by using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) to obtain the surface morphology of the composite thin films. Meanwhile, I-V measurement was done in order to determine the electrical properties of the thin films. According to the result obtained in this experiment, thin film that annealed at highest temperature, which is 500°C produced highest sensitivity, 53.3 mV/pH. INdoor-OuTdoor Elderly CAring SystEm (NOTECASE) is a real-time tracking and monitoring system that utilizes the RFID, Wi-Fi, and Global Location Positioning System (GPS) aim to track and monitor the aged society, both within indoors and outdoors environment. A mobile and web-based application is developed and the architecture of the whole implementation is presented. However, these schemes are insufficient enough for supporting real-world applications due to inherent quadratic overhead problem in the use of Learning With Error (LWE). To solve this problem, this paper proposed a Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) scheme from a more lightweight ideal lattice classes- Ring-Learning with Errors (Ring-LWE), that further called as CP-ABER-LWE scheme. Compared to existing R-LWE based ABE scheme, the proposed CP-ABER-LWE is capable to handle a monotone access structure and enjoys collusion resistance properties. We exploited Linear Secret Scheme (LSSS) to express a monotone access structure. For resist to collusion attack, we applied the private key randomization technique to blind the user's private key. The electromagnetic generator was designed and fabricated to demonstrate the concept and the functionality of the readout circuitry. The dimension of electromagnetic energy device is 75mm × 140mm. Compared to the standard schemes, the proposed circuit is able to extract a considerably output power for a wide range of output voltages. The circuit also functioned properly when connected to an electromagnetic energy harvester device.
