However, most market vendors still follow a centralized monolithic cloud model for controlling most of the market for data services. Also, this strategy is incompatible with European objectives for cloud computing and the data economy, lacking data sovereignty and cross-cloud interoperability principles. Towards these limitations, the FAME project is introduced as a joint effort in the fields of data management, data technologies, data economy, and digital finance to develop, deploy and launch to the global market a unique, trustworthy, energy efficient, and secure federated data marketplace for Embedded Finance (EmFi). This marketplace is envisioned to alleviate the proclaimed limitations of centralized cloud data marketplaces towards demonstrating the full potential of the data economy. Security, interoperability, decentralized and regulatory compliant data exchange, data assets’ trading and pricing, as well as integration of trusted and energy efficient analytics are among the core functionalities of FAME, which aims to act as a single-entry point data marketplace for the EmFi domain. FAME will be evaluated upon different real-world use cases covering the financial industry, building a vibrant community of EmFi stakeholders around the envisioned marketplace.","PeriodicalId":301834,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Smart Applications, Communications and Networking (SmartNets)","volume":"203 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133506356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fact, some outdoor wireless sensor networks are deployed solely for location information. However, adding a GPS module to each node can increase the cost of the wireless sensor network. Therefore, software-based location estimation using radio signals becomes necessary. Hardware without a GPS module requires nodes with known locations in the network. To keep the cost of the network economically reasonable, the density of anchor nodes in the network with expensive nodes that have GPS modules should be investigated. In this study, an alternative method has been developed for transmitting localization packets in Contiki-NG firmware Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), as point-to-point communication is not suitable for the nature of WSNs. Using the method, the minimum anchor node density and transmission range required for localization in mesh topologies, was investigated according to negligible location estimation errors with Cooja network simulation environment. Three centroid-based algorithms have been compared based on localization error and localization ratio. At the end of the study, the minimum transmission range and anchor density ratio required for localization algorithms were determined. It was shown how effective the MAC policy was up to which transmission range. It was demonstrated how incorrect conclusions could be reached when network protocol stack requirements were not considered.","PeriodicalId":301834,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Smart Applications, Communications and Networking (SmartNets)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133524767","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Governments cannot solve the waste problem alone. Metro City is committed to reducing waste by empowering the community and making every family aware that waste has economic value if it is able to be sorted into organic and inorganic. Through the role of the village head who has socialized the waste bank since 2015, it has been carried out by: socializing to residents' homes, teaching housewives, outreach to schools and community meetings. However, the current obstacle is how to monitor the amount of integrated waste and customer funds every day, especially inorganic waste. The methodology used starts from collecting data, analyzing data and building models that are embodied in the SI-MONISA application. This research builds SI-MONISA (Waste Monitoring System) using a mobile application. In this application there is access to the government, residents and garbage officers. The SI MONISA application is capable of monitoring the presence of waste, the status of waste collection and interactions with waste managers. This application is expected to contribute to monitoring the government regarding residents and officers in relation to waste.","PeriodicalId":301834,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Smart Applications, Communications and Networking (SmartNets)","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131332325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, healthcare delivery has been hindered by a lack of testing kits. To address this, deep learning techniques have been utilized to diagnose COVID-19 using CT scans, which have higher sensitivity in detecting early pneumonic changes. However, limited access to large datasets of CT-scan images due to privacy concerns has made developing accurate models difficult. To overcome this, transfer-learning pre-trained models have been employed in this study to automatically detect COVID-19 cases from CT scan images. The proposed methodology utilizes VGG19, RESNet50, and DenseNet169 architectures to classify patients as COVID-19 (positive) or COVID-19 (negative), with DenseNet169 performing the best with an accuracy of 98.5% in predicting COVID-19 binary classification. The model showed no signs of overfitting or underfitting, with a great output curve relative to the training accuracy. The other models, ResNet-50 and VGG-19 showed performance well with an accuracy of 96.7% and 92.7%, respectively. However, VGG-19 had the lowest accuracy of 92.7%. The findings of this study demonstrate the potential of using machine learning methods for the accurate and timely prediction of COVID-19. DenseNet169 outperformed other models and provided better accuracy for the prediction of COVID-19 Binary Classification.","PeriodicalId":301834,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Smart Applications, Communications and Networking (SmartNets)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128740574","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The devices run apps that can be sophisticatedly linked to other devices or platforms, or Web Apps, which duplicate the forensic investigation problem. Each social media application has its feature to deal with various types of messages and has its method of receiving and storing the messages depending on their type, i.e., text, video, contact file, image, and record. This study works on two scenarios to track the recovered data by logical acquisition method in MOBILedit and FINALmobile forensic tools. The first scenario is social media massaging between two smartphone Apps, and the second one is between Web Apps and smartphone Apps. In the two scenarios, the acquired device is the receiver’s smartphone. This study finds that logical acquisition cannot recover any Facebook or Instagram data, but in WhatsApp and Telegram, logical acquisition can extract and analyze all data except text and contact files, without knowing which linked device or Web App sent the message. There is a need for more investigation on social media Apps and Web Apps in future works.","PeriodicalId":301834,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Smart Applications, Communications and Networking (SmartNets)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128261560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The burden of the base station can be alleviated through roadside units (RSUs) to distribute the demands, but still, the outage zone, which the communication range of RSUs cannot cover, exists due to their high deployment cost. However, since the existing schemes for covering the outage zone only considered single-hop relaying vehicles to provide the precached content, the outage zone cannot be minimized by an insufficient number of candidate vehicles. Therefore, we propose a scheme for minimizing the outage zone by maximizing the precached content through multi-hop relaying vehicles. The proposed scheme optimally selects relaying vehicles through our numerical model to calculate the amount of the precached content and progresses the process of multi-hop relaying through comparing the connection time of vehicles with the dark area time in the outage zone. To prevent much overhead due to frequent precaching vehicle handover, the proposed scheme limits vehicles with a short communication time compared with a precaching restriction indicator in the multi-hop relaying vehicle selection process. Simulation results show that our scheme is superior to the representative scheme based on single-hop relaying.","PeriodicalId":301834,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Smart Applications, Communications and Networking (SmartNets)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129840969","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
