This concept has usually been put in relation to educational and labor market contexts in order to highlight the presence or absence of an inclusive attitude and equitable treatment of both genders. The present paper aims to investigate the connection between management and the concept of gender equality by means of bibliometric analysis, highlighting the evolution over time of theoretical approaches, the differentiating elements between the production of publications on this topic and the influence manifested by them, as well as the way in which the conceptual and social structure regarding this subject was developed over time. A number of 717 publications resulting from a filtered search in the Web of Science Core Collection database were researched, the bibliometric analysis and structural maps being performed with the help of VOSviewer and Bibliometrix software programs.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"115 34","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140985762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dobrea","doi":"10.24818/imc/2023/02.16","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24818/imc/2023/02.16","url":null,"abstract":"In an ever-changing world of threats and vulnerabilities, crisis management actors must continuously learn to adapt and transform their response capabilities. The most important challenge lies in the duality of the crisis management system, which is a system for planning between crises as well as a system for responding during crises. In this context, it is necessary to identify a model that allows understanding how systems subject to crisis conditions learn to adapt and transform. Such a model is used to improve understanding of the dynamics of learning and changing crisis management systems. Despite the fact that the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly developed countermeasures, mainly of a medical nature, it has failed to ensure the resilience of health systems and economies, with the total human and economic cost still being felt. Based on this reality, our objective is to identify, through concrete examples, how we should learn from these shortcomings, i.e., how to implement more inclusive and equitable frameworks to prevent and respond to crises (health crises in this case). Taking measures to rebuild public and investor confidence in resilient local productive capacity, supply chains, regulatory frameworks, etc. and putting the voices of crisis managers at the heart of decision-making can help ensure preparedness for future threats. So, it's time to move beyond just talking about learning under pressure and implementing lessons and instead act consciously for a more resilient future.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"123 41","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140985434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this sense, the school director must develop skills and competencies on three different levels: manager, leader, coach. The work aimed to summarize the main roles that school principals have, as well as the ways of action by which they can fulfill their roles. In order to lead effectively and responsibly, the school director must know and apply the principles and functions of the didactic process, the functions of institutional management, communication strategies with students, parents, teachers, educational partners, create a safe and open environment for students and parents, to be able to manage crisis situations and difficult situations that arise in this activity, to have thorough knowledge of financial management and marketing. Also, to achieve the institutional objectives, the school director must have leadership qualities to be a model in this sense, to support his team and to motivate his team to complete the tasks.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":" 48","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141128626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the 1970s, when the commercialization of professional sports took place and the revenues generated by the sports system exploded, there has been an exponential increase in the number of amateur athletes and investments in amateur sports, both on behalf of the public system and from private entities. The purpose of this article is to emphasize the importance of the dangers that the modern era brings to sports governance and management. Every year, the capacity of national and international actors to actively contribute to the financing of sport increases. However, every year, due to digitalization, new means of leisure appear, and the number of users of sports as a product decreases exponentially, despite the fact that the governance process is improving, benefiting from increasing resources, and sports organizations are giving up their autonomy.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"39 22","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140982640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Challenges can ultimately add value to a company's business, but they can also lead to its exit from the market in which it operates. We call these crisis situations; although they are not desirable, it is imperative to have a plan in place to respond to and manage them, according to the possible risks the company may face. Although crisis situations bring with them their negativity, there are cases where companies can turn them into performance drivers with the right and appropriate response. According to PwC's Global Crisis and Resilience Survey 2023, 96% of responding companies indicated that they have experienced at least one crisis situation. As we will see in a sub-chapter of this paper, even large, reputable companies can fail to manage a crisis properly. In this article, we will look at the right way to handle a crisis situation, the importance of critical communication and the possible negative effects of mismanaging alarming situations.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"40 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140983912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this paper is to reveal the most important scientific evolutions in the field of Knowledge risks, considered as a narrow field within the bigger field of Knowledge management. The methodological approach is based on the use of the bibliometric software R-Stata Bibliometrix, specialized in Science Mapping Workflow, in order to extract meaningful results about the thematic evolution of the Knowledge risks field. The methodological approach assumes that the co-occurrence of two keywords within the same article indicates a link between those topics. Our results show that “knowledge risks” is a very specialized area, but with an important transversality. The concept of “knowledge risk” often appears as a secondary concept in research published in various fields, the publications within the field of Knowledge management being a minority in the total publications where the concept is found. The main novelty of our research consists in a mixed approach, both quantitative and qualitative, of the bibliometric analysis, using bigrams to understand the evolution of this particular scientific field. The results are important for improving the design of future scientific research on knowledge risks.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"39 20","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140983806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the question arises: can we truly embody these ethical ideals in our actions? Is it imperative enough to be an integral part of a company's strategic vision? Should it find its place in the employee handbook or be woven into job descriptions? In a landscape teeming with diverse ethical and moral perspectives, many individuals employing these terms may actually mean something quite distinct from one another. When an organization meticulously fine-tunes its relationship with competitors, ethics can emerge as a potent competitive advantage. This article subscribes to the idea that ethics, morality, and integrity should serve as the fundamental guiding principles for long-term evolution, and it offers a concise set of methodologies for ensuring their enduring preservation.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"54 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140983573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this paper is to use a bibliometric analysis in order to highlight the way the link between these two concepts evolves within the scientific field. In this sense, 366 Web of Science indexed publications on this topic were selected and analyzed with the help of two popular software - Biblioshiny and VOSviewer. The results highlighted the evolution of academic production on the link between workforce diversity and innovation, their territorial dissemination based on the most productive countries, the collaboration among three of the most influential channels (affiliations, authors, and sources), and the conceptual structure of the scientific production based on keyword co-occurrence analysis, as well as a longitudinal thematic analysis. This study can contribute to the literature through a map of the relationship between workforce diversity and innovation. Its conclusions have led to the idea that employee diversity (in terms of education, ethnicity, race, gender, equity, age) can create all the necessary premises (human capital, knowledge, productivity, cultural diversity, motivation, leadership) for an organization to be innovative and to achieve performance, thus leading to a competitive advantage.","PeriodicalId":296892,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Management Conference","volume":"30 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140982805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
