\u0000Kata kunci: cerita rakyat, kanak-kanak, translokaliti, nilai sosial \u0000 \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000What role do folklore and performing arts play in teaching children a society's cultural and social values? Since time immemorial, children's worldviews (worldviews) have been primarily shaped by folk tales, which impart distinctive social values, beliefs, and philosophies to a country's people and communities. In the context of translocality, this study will examine two popular folk tales shared by the Malay Islands, particularly Indonesia and Malaysia: "Bawang Merah Bawang Putih" and the tale of the rebellious child known as "Si Tanggang" in Malaysia or "Malin Kundang" in Indonesia. This study will examine i) similarities and differences in the construction of this story, ii) shared moral values among the Malay Islands community that are spread through folk tales, and iii) how these shared moral values can have a positive effect on Malaysian children who are exposed to this story. It's a new "human-centered" design theory. Community design provides equal, safe, and easy access to the medical environment for all, especially for hospital patients with special needs. In medical facilities, the communal design lets us build passenger flow-directing systems and better signs and guides. Design thinking drives medical signage and counseling. Second, it provides a framework for constructing medical institution signage and orientation systems based on audience needs, signage placement, and environmental design. Applying this design theory and approach to medical institution signs and guiding systems increases audience, sign recognition, patient guidance, treatment flow optimisation, and efficiency. A case study examined the Second People's Hospital of Henan Province's signage and guiding system, patients' physiological and psychological qualities, and their needs and expectations. However, its teaching needs to be improved in Malaysia, despite its multicultural population and significant Chinese community. In the last century, ShenYun technique emerged as one of the primary schools that have been used in teaching Chinese classical dance to ensure its form and type standardization. Nevertheless, there have yet to be any attempts to teach Chinese classical dance overseas using the original teaching materials of the ShenYun technique. This paper focuses on measuring the effectiveness of teaching ShenYun dance technique to international students. 22 students from Universiti Sains Malaysia and various cultural backgrounds were selected to learn the ShenYun dance technique for 12 sessions. The evaluation of the student's learning outcomes involved multiple methods. Post-class questionnaires were given to students after every class, and a final questionnaire was given at the end of the course. Local dance experts assessed the students' progress by observing a live performance, while Chinese dance experts evaluated a video recording of the final performance. The data obtained from students were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation to determine the participants' understanding level. At the same time, the data collected from experts was used to evaluate the learning outcomes. According to the study's findings, the 12 sessions of ShenYun dance technique is an effective instructional resource for international students.

These changes in beliefs have been a factor in the occurrence of liminal processes; in their practice and beliefs of the sacred traditional healing ritual performances to the more secular form of traditional theater. The terms of 'play and playing' is a familiar term and a common practice of the traditional theater performances in which instead of acting, the performers play the role in accordance with its spontaneous and improvisational features. The playing skills of the traditional theater players (instead of performers) are always tested with their ability to develop performances based only on a given storyline. The elements of ‘play and playing’ are also an important part to the performance structure of the Bajau Laut’s healing ritual, most of which consist of secular elements in the ritual performances. The ‘play and playing’ element in the ritual performance is seen as the aesthetic potential of the Sabah’s indigenous traditional theater.
