The subject of this article are two outstanding studies dedicated to the city and which have become an event in modern humanities. Both studies are carried out in an interdisciplinary, cultural-philosophical and socio-artistic manner. Monumental work of M.S. Kagan is devoted, first of all, to the aesthetics of St. Petersburg and the formation of the Russian intelligentsia. In the three-volume L.G. The city of Kovnack appears different than Petersburg in the book by M.S. Kagan. Another time and heroes give rise to a different image of the city and chronotopes. The purpose of the comparison of these scientific publications undertaken in this article was the concept of \"development of the city\", which captured various branches of the humanities at the end of the 20th - 20th centuries. The purpose of these centers is to create and develop an effective system of interaction with enterprises and organizations in various forms of ownership to increase the competitiveness of university graduates in the global labor market. The information and digital environment at Tomsk Polytechnic University, which facilitates the employment of students and graduates, is presented as an example. Various information and digital tools and services are used for successful work. The business processes of specialists promoting the employment of students and graduates at Tomsk Polytechnic University are also discussed. In the process of facilitating graduate employment, the \"Employment\" information and software complex has been introduced, along with other digital tools. These resources help to ensure the effectiveness of the employment promotion process. The article examines modern domestic socio-cultural and psychological approaches to understanding the phenomenon of success, identifies the features of discursive practices in the Russian media space; examines the role of lexical units used to construct the image of a successful person in the Russian media discourse, presents approaches to the classification of vocabulary, its quantitative and qualitative analysis through the identification of \"internal\" and \"external\" categories success. The article deals with the issues of ensuring a comprehensive assessment of the quality of education, while the assessment of the quality of education is considered as a necessary condition for the training of highly qualified specialists. The authors reveal the content of the updated system of state accreditation, control and supervision in the field of quality assurance of education. The issue of the organization of an internal system for assessing the quality of education, including its normative and methodological support, is covered in sufficient detail. The key areas within which the quality control of education should be carried out are indicated. Separately, the authors dwell on the problem of organizing an independent assessment of the quality of students within the framework of the state final certification. To solve such a problem, it is proposed to use self-examination methods, involve employers, other legal entities and individuals, as well as teachers. The issue of complex preparation of funds of evaluation tools for carrying out diagnostic measures, including with the use of remote technologies, is touched upon. The study carried out to identify the reasons of this phenomenon to occur shows that some of these mistakes were caused by the unreasonable use of lexical-grammatical transformations during the translation of the text, primarily the transformations of addition and omission. Other semantic mistakes appeared in the translation either because the translator was not paying enough attention to what he was doing or he failed to read the context properly. The paper provides the brief review of basic lexical-grammatical transformations used in the process of translation, as well as the analysis of translation of several fragments in the novel containing rough semantic mistakes. Despite a variety of environmental campaigns, environmental education activities, the ecological culture of the population still remains at an insufficiently high level. Often this happens due to the “isolation” of a person from the ecological situation of a particular region. In this regard, the question of the need to introduce local history information into the learning process and the mandatory personal acquaintance with natural objects and phenomena has been repeatedly raised. The participation of students in the development and implementation of social and environmental projects forms the assimilation of knowledge, value and patriotic attitudes in the activity. The development of methods and means of training and education should be interconnected with the achievement of other sciences, including digital technologies. In connection with the foregoing, we consider it relevant to effectively train a teacher whose activities will be aimed at the formation of an ecological culture of students using original materials about forest complexes obtained in the course of their own research in nature. A necessary condition for the formation of the necessary competencies among students should be called an activity approach in teaching biology and ecology. The article presents some results of educational, research and research work of students and schoolchildren of the Samara region, the purpose of which was to assess the current state of forest ecosystems in the Samara region. An example of the use of modern digital resources to study the occurrence and development of fires is given.
