Together with other colleagues from the faculty and the guild, he was at the foundation of the formation of the philological school in Chisinau, striving to research the phenomena of the Romanian language and equally to its teaching in the higher education institutions of the republic, as well as the cultivation, promotion and popularization of its form more neat and beautiful. Passionate about the Latin language and driven by the curiosity to know the origins and explanations of language phenomena, he tackled problems of the history of the language, with reflections and continuation in aspects of stylistics, lexicology or actual grammar. He manifested and advocated his love and appreciation for his own identity and for that of the Romanian language not only in specialized writings, but especially in public, in difficult times being one of the signatories of the famous letter of the 66 signatories. He was one of the researchers who connected his professional life with the Institute of Linguistics and dedicated his life to raising generations of Romanian language teachers: we managed to trace his presence both in the university auditorium and in schools in the country, in houses of culture or bodies of local administration, where he spoke about the Romanian language. The works signed by Teodor Cotelnic remain in the use of today’s students and researchers, as well as the interested reader. We believe that through the contribution of Teodor Cotelnic we can learn about the lost pages of our history and we can imagine the picture of Bessarabian philology in a clearer outline.","PeriodicalId":283642,"journal":{"name":"Dialogica. Nichita Stănescu arrived in the capital of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1976, during a period of complicated Soviet-Romanian relations, which made difficult the communication between Romanian-language writers from the republics on the two banks of the Prut. The haloed poet in the Bucharest environment and recognized as an unmistakable symbol of Romanian lyricism enjoys special sympathy among the Romanian-language writers from Chișinău, so the news of his participation in the events of the Soviet Literature Week in Moldova festival provoked and attracted attention. Every gesture he made, from the barely sketched to the exaggerated expressions, became a veritable charming show that was fixed in the memory of the witnesses and generated miniature stories. The stories about Nichita Stănescu first circulated in oral form, as living folklore in the narrow circles of writers. When it became possible, a series of testimonies about the gestures of the beloved Romanian poet appeared in the press. Together, the evocations of the “gentle angel who announced the opening of the windows” created the portrait of a Nichita Stănescu of Chișinău residents. Analyzing the structuring and functioning of these neural networks based on observation, learning (pre-training) and NLP mechanisms, we present the features of GPT models, the range of tasks they can perform, the advantages and risks of their implementation in literary creation. By processing enormous amounts of text to learn how the relationships between natural language words are structured, GPT models can generate both scientific and literary texts. An example of this is the work generated by GPT-3: 1 the Road by Ross Goodwin and Sunspring by Oscar Sharp and Ross Goodwin, presented in this study. The implementation of GPT models in the creative process is also manifested through a set of tools such as: Talk to Transformer, GPT-3 Creative Fiction, Copy.ai, AI Dungeon, etc. Researchers such as Thomas Hornigold, Mark Riedl and others warn that GPT models, although well-versed in various fields, cannot simulate human emotional intelligence, creativity and narrative intelligence, remaining creative tools but not perfect creators.","PeriodicalId":283642,"journal":{"name":"Dialogica. Folk legends remind us that there are great tragedies behind great epic heroes and mythic deeds/images. Hidden behind the monumental cultural, literary and artistic legacy lies shocking ritual violence with its deep logos. Sacred and profane violence have many variants and should thus be interpreted with great attention (semantic, semiotic, historical, cultural). The question of the economy of violence is of prime interest because of the wide array of personifications of violence: necessary, moderate, excessive, limitless, absolute, intentional and unintentional. The figure of the scapegoat changes, but not its role in the ritual of violence. The mythical memory of the Macedonians is sensitive and has the capacity to mystify and demystify historical stories. The Macedonian oral literature has preserved numerous legends, stories and poems which evoke the motif of sacrifice, both in its archaic ritualistic form (walling up a live woman in the foundations of bridges) and in its feudal historic forms of social and cultural politics. The focus of this paper will be the legend of King Marko (1335–1395) written down by Marko Cepenkov (1829–1920), and some other literary examples. {"title":"The municipality of Cahul from a demographic, urban, economic and cultural point of view (according to the Census data of December 29, 1930) (II)","authors":"Nicolae Enciu","doi":"10.59295/dia.2023.1.11","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.59295/dia.2023.1.11","url":null,"abstract":"The second part of the study deals with essential aspects of the Romanian decades in the history of the city and the county of Cahul, such as the socio-professional structure of the population and the occupations of the inhabitants, the state and evolution of trade, transport and communications; health care and the health status of the population and, last but not least, the evolution of culture and education in the interwar years. The cited data is an eloquent proof of the fact that the population, economy and social life as a whole in the city and county of Cahul between the two world wars followed the established modernization model of Western Europe. As for cultural life and education in the city and county of Cahul, the analysis carried out proves that in those years it was possible to create a school centered on democratic values, principles and norms, in which the quality of the teaching staff was reflected not only in the teaching activity, in the evaluation of the students and students, in edifying and credible exams, but also in its contribution to the life of the community. The recognition of the truth that education is the fundamental field for raising the level of culture and life of the people, for the training of cadres necessary for the economy, administrative life, social, political, scientific activity, etc., ensured it an essential place in the interwar Romanian society.","PeriodicalId":283642,"journal":{"name":"Dialogica. Now do what you want with our love!” or about the visits of some writers to Chișinău","authors":"Aliona Grati, Iulian Filip","doi":"10.59295/dia.2023.1.01","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.59295/dia.2023.1.01","url":null,"abstract":"The theme of the dialogue is the visits of foreign writers to Chișinău and the literary collaborations with them during the last two decades of the Soviet regime and in the first two after the emergence of the new state Republic of Moldova. The facts are reconstructed by the poet, prose writer, playwright, folklorist Iulian Filip, who was actively involved in them, starting in the 70s. Thus, the meetings in Chișinău with the Armenian poet Ghevorg Emin, the Japanese translator Sumiya Haruia, the Romanian writers Ioan Alexandru, Mircea Tomuş, the Italian journalist, editor and translator Amedeo Carrocci etc. are reconstructed. As a result of these meetings, collaborations were established and especially writers from Chișinău literature were translated. Living memory corrects the official records, irremediably converted to the themes required by Soviet culture, which the foreign writers who arrived in Chișinău had to honor. At the same time, Iulia Filip reconstructs some sequences from the literary life of the first years of the independence of the republic between the Prut and Dniester.","PeriodicalId":283642,"journal":{"name":"Dialogica. The development of industry in European countries and Russia contributes to the widespread use of new technologies and materials in construction. In architecture, the design process is divided into two aspects: 1) technical-constructive and 2) artistic-decorative. There is also a change in the relationship between the two related specialties in the field – engineer and architect. The construction engineer focuses on the construction of roads, bridges, industrial and military edifices, and the activity of architects is limited to the construction of civil and religious edifices with an emphasis on the aesthetic side. One of the architects with engineering training and broad knowledge in architecture is Alexandru Bernardazzi. Its activity includes „technical” constructions (roads, bridges, railway stations, water towers, etc.) and edifices made in various styles (classical, gothic, eclectic, etc.) (City Duma Building, Girls’ High School „Princess Natalia Dadiani”, the Water Tower, etc.).","PeriodicalId":283642,"journal":{"name":"Dialogica.
