He even refused to effect any change so his country develpoed, and he didn’t\u0000meet the demands of his own people along with Omani revolutions against him. Ivanov was the first genuine literary figure to be created by Chekhov and his\u0000version of the character of the Russian Hamlet. This study is not only concerned with the Hamletian elements in Ivanov, but it also tries to stress the fact that Chekhov was\u0000casting an eye on Hamlet while creating the character of his protagonist. The personality of the hero of this play still provokes critical arguments. However, the work here looks at Ivanov as a tragic character, the Russian Hamlet of the 1880s, and views the character as one of the idealistic, psychologically tortured and paralyzed intellectual, and in the latest tradition of the superfluous man. It also examines how far Chekhov was held by critics to have created a world – weary character with particular relevance to the Russia of the 1880s, a time of disillusionment and despair for a generation of Russian intellectuals. With particular reference and comparison with the Shakespearian hero, and taking the historical moments into consideration, this work will try to analyze the complex psychology of Ivanov which was a matter of some difficulty for its creator.\u0000Keywords: Shakespeare, Chekhov, Hamlet, Ivanov, Superfluous Man, Literary\u0000Type, Russian Intellectual.

The Iraqi-Jewish stratum is among the main\u0000social strata of the society. Among these issues are\u0000attempts to marginalize and wipe out Arabic from Jewish literature. Hence, these\u0000attempts force many writers to abandon writing in Arabic and replacing it with Hebrew.\u0000It is noticeable, however, that even after the transfer of those writers and poets to write in\u0000Hebrew, the spirit of Arabic and its culture remain present in their literary production.\u0000This study comes to discuss the fiction writers’ and poets’ suffering to choose a\u0000mediation between Arabic and Hebrew while writing their literature. The Center and Margin in the Sa’alik Poetry in the PreIslamic Era in the Light of Cultural Semiotics 从文化符号学的角度看前伊斯兰时代萨勒克诗歌的中心与边缘

The research attempts to introspect the\u0000Sa’alik poetry in the pre-Islamic era through the view of cultural semiotics, with\u0000the help of the dual center and the margin as a part of such semiotics.The\u0000research is based on two aspects: the first investigates the appearance of the term\u0000“Center and Margin” and its indication in the literary and critical domains, and\u0000the existing dialectic in the terminological understanding. The second induces\u0000the semiotic “center and margin” in Sa’alik poetry in pre-Islam and its\u0000implications in this duality. The poetic model of the research is restricted to the\u0000poetry of: aŠ-Šanfarā and ꜤUrawa bin il-Ward and ꜤAmr bin Barrāqa. They also show\u0000an intense paradox of the image represented in various cultural classical literature\u0000tackling the relationship between man in exile, place, and motherland. Thus, Said\u0000presented a new image of his relationship with place in line with the different spatial\u0000frameworks he lived in, with all its cultural and social components. Yet, he lacked, in\u0000these different places, the familiarity, identity and security.
