The data were collected\u0000from 9 in-service English language teachers’ responses on five open-ended grammar,\u0000pronunciation and writing problems. The results show that Jordanian English language\u0000teachers don’t know enough about what they teach. {"title":"The Effect of Iranian Regimes on Persian Language and its Vocabulary","authors":"","doi":"10.51405/16.2.3","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51405/16.2.3","url":null,"abstract":"This study tackles some of the most important historical stages of Persian language\u0000under the dominance of regimes that governed Iran during different periods from the\u0000past to the present. Also, the study addresses how the nature of the regime and its\u0000political orientation have influenced the Persian language, its vocabulary, grammar,\u0000syntax, morphology, and literature. The study deals with the ancient Persian language\u0000(Pastan), which was used before the Islamic conquest and then the middle Persian\u0000(Miyan) which was used till the Arabs and Muslims invaded the Persian Empire, and the\u0000modern Persian language (the contemporary Persian language.\u0000The study provides different examples, indications and models showing the\u0000influence of the ruling regime on the Persian language in its different historical stages.\u0000Also, the research demonstrates the different languages that affected Persian such as\u0000Arabic, Turkish, French and the languages of the neighboring or foreign countries. The\u0000study includes Persian prose texts from the above-mentioned periods that reflect the\u0000influence of the regimes on the language by borrowing foreign words.
