In opposition to this utilitarian view, the totalizing and humanizing concept of Living Soil regards the soil as a living and complex organism governed by dynamic balances. From the perspective of the Living Soil and the Historical-Critical Pedagogy and through the use of Ana Primavesi’s stories, the objective of the present study was to elaborate and analyze a didactic material about the study of soils in geography. The research was developed following a qualitative approach grounded in the dialectical analysis of the data and was carried out with the participation of geography teachers from basic education aiming at establishing relations between the school routine, the research and the produced material. The results indicate that the didactic material and the stories selected can contribute for the development of physical-natural themes in geography, especially the concept of Living Soil, in association with human actions. To achieve the proposed goals it was analyzed the water levels of physical quality from the analysis of physical parameters: Potential Hydrogen(pH), Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Salinity, and Turbidity. The samples were obtained in 49 tubular wells and waterholes inside the urban zone of the municipality and analyzed by a portable Aquaread AP800 multiparameter. To the ascertainment of the physical quality levels from the samples utilized, it was used the determined parameters defined by the Brazilian law in the patterns of water potability to human consumption established by the Normative Resolution in CONAMA 357/2005. The results found had identified that the pH shows itself as slightly acid to basic, the salinity in the majority of the wells presents at a low of 0,5% as well as other indexes of EC, TDS, and Turbidity found themselves inside the water quality levels of human consumption established by the CONAMA 357/2005. As such, it was possible to classify the subterranean water, inside the urban zone of the municipality of Apicum-Açu as potable, indicated to consumption, with caveats and recommendations that can contribute to maintaining and improving the levels of its potability.","PeriodicalId":263940,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Semiarid","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121372172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, this research aims to analyze the general issue of risk to wildfires with public basic education in the city of Campo Grande-MS, Brazil, and as specific objectives: to raise the main local public policies on fires and propose the construction of a pedagogical paradidactic resource aimed at collaborating with the thematic approach that can be used in formal and non-formal educational institutions. In this sense, this study intends to approach and discuss phenomena related to wildfires, fires and hotspots that pose a risk to the environment and human health through geographic education. The National Policy for Protection and Civil Defense points out the need to adopt measures aimed at reducing disaster risks and the Common National Curriculum in the discipline Geography in the thematic unit called nature, environment and quality of life ensures the approach thematic of fires in the teaching of this curricular component. In the context of teaching Geography, physical-natural themes constitute an important approach to student education. However, in order to be meaningful, they must be related to the experience of the students. In this context, this work proposes a discussion about the way physical-natural themes are approached in the Geography Curriculum of Teresina-PI. Thus, the question is: does the way in which physical-natural themes are addressed in the Geography Curriculum of Teresina contribute to the critical formation of students? As a guide to answer this question, a main objective was traced: to evaluate how the physical-natural themes are being approached in the teaching of Geography in the initial years, in the perspective of the Teresina Curriculum, with a view to the critical formation of the students. As for the methodology, the work is based on the assumptions of the qualitative approach, in which bibliographic research was adopted, supported by references such as: Alves and Queiroz (2019), Callai (2005), Cavalcanti (2013), Lopes (2014), Morais (2011), among others. For the documentary research, the analysis of Teresina's Geography Curriculum was carried out, focusing on physical-natural themes in the 1st and 2nd cycle of Elementary School. As a result, it was possible to notice that the skills presented in the Geography Curriculum of Teresina present a proposal to approach the physical-natural themes articulated with the actions of the human being on space, at the same time that it relates these themes to the lived reality of the students, that is, to Teresina space. Thus, it can be considered that the Geography Curriculum of Teresina for the early years presents a good proposal for the study of physical-natural themes, with a view to the critical formation of students.","PeriodicalId":263940,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Semiarid","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122626800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cinema is an ally of the educational process, it is able to make the subject see and see around him, as well as can also be a driving force to bring creative stimuli and add new perceptions of life and world to students and students. In this article, the relationship of the backcountry people with water is analyzed through the landscapes and plot transmitted in the film Bacurau (2019). Aspects of physical geography are addressed in order to mediate the interpretation of the landscapes seen throughout the film and to explore the controversial narratives about the historical water crisis of the Northeastern Backcountry. In many cases the school atmosphere becomes monotonous, and the teacher occasionally is unable to encourage the students. As a way to overcome the classic classroom model, there are some didactical tools that can be used by the educator. Several alternatives are available to teachers to reach the construction of knowledge in a meaningful way. The models and educational games are learning tools that are widely discussed in the scientific literature; nevertheless, their application in day-to-day life is still scarce. The didactic tools can achieve satisfactory results regarding the objective of knowledge construction, as they are used in conjunction with the teacher's planning. This paper seeks to present an intervention proposal for basic education, using the construction of models and educational games as tools to provide a pleasant, stimulant and effective education that allow the recognition of geographic knowledge and phenomena.","PeriodicalId":263940,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Semiarid","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125366320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work aims to present a proposal for mapping physical-environmental indicators to support the analysis of geomorphological risk in the hydrographic basin of the Parauapebas River (PA). The methodology adopted was based on precepts of the theory of ecodynamics (TRICART, 1977), supporting, in this way, the analysis of variables and criteria adopted in the estimation of the fragility of the natural environment of the environments (ROSS, 1994). Four geomorphological risk classes were identified – very low, low, moderate and high. The hydrographic basin of the Parauapebas River showed a worrying panorama in the face of the geomorphological risk, which may, in this sense, be potentiated by the accelerated and disorderly expansion of human activities.","PeriodicalId":263940,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Semiarid","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115149233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, the specific objective is to evaluate the geographic approach and knowledge of Soil present among the articles of the event, as well as the didactic-pedagogical references presented. It is understood as important and necessary to discuss the relationship between society and nature in the scope of school geography, especially the discussion of this physical-natural component and its appropriation and use, capable of configuring different landscapes and territories. The documentary and exploratory research follows the methodology of content analysis, which includes several readings of each text, identification of categories, analysis of soil approaches and conceptions and proposed practices. Despite the perceived search for the break with patterns of a traditional teaching, it was found that the approach of the theme in the works remains, to a large ly, academicist and more focused on the understanding of the Soil as an isolated and disconnected element of space. More than 70% of the studies discuss the soil issue from regional and global scales, disregarding the geography of the student and, consequently, the search for a more significant soil geographic education. In addition to this aspect, less than 50% of the studies present important conceptions in geography practices, such as the definition of procedural and value contents and the presence of constructivist approaches to teaching.","PeriodicalId":263940,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Semiarid","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122516167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
