Their introduction at pump and ventilation equipment ensures a significant reserve of power saving. The paper provides evidence to the fact that the main obstruction for wide-range introduction of the frequency control systems is reduction of the facility reliability indexes. As a rule, personnel of the enterprises is not supplied with exact information on actual reliability indexes of the VFDs. The study proposes main provisions of the developed methods for calculation of electric drive reliability at the introduction of frequency converters. The methods are based on the application of the logical-and-probabilistic method accompanied by the expert estimation of the facility conditions. VFD decomposition has been performed with the sophistication enabling expert estimations. The trees reflecting faults of Siemens electric drive and frequency converter have been elaborated. Expert estimations of times to failure of frequency converter elements are provided. An average time to failure has been calculated. It has been proved that switching to frequency control may result in reduction of reliability indexes of the electric drive by 3-4 times. In connection with the above, it is practicable to consider the issue of power saving and reliability improvement of the power facilities at VFD introduction as a complex. The paper supplies references to the accomplished studies and developments in this area.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127437960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its application requires thermometric decoder designing. This design process for high resolutions can become a challenge due to decoder complexity. In this paper, common design techniques of a thermometric decoder are discussed in details. The rule to form output logic functions is introduced. The formulas to calculate delay time and transistor number for thermometric decoders are presented. The simulation of 4-bit decoders has shown that a more complex design technique provides a decoder with a smaller number of transistors and delay time.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134048667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We present a routing algorithm, Adaptive Q-routing Full Echo, that is an extension of `full echo' modification of Q-routing algorithm and uses adaptive learning rates to improve exploration behaviour. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated empirically in comparison to Q-routing and Dual Q-routing algorithms. The preliminary results suggest that the proposed algorithm represents a promising way of achieving good routing performance in dynamically changing networks.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131295592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conception of codec is a combination of layered representation and differential pulse-code modulation (DPCM). The layers, from which each frame of decoded video is composed, are alpha channel, background estimation, image with difference between intensities of objects and background estimation, correcting image. Some layers are compressed with lossy version of WebP and the others are compressed with lossless version of WebP. The results of test on real videos shows that proposed codec outperforms MPEG4 and H.264 in the desired range of values of compression ratio.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121278620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
