Conducted review and synthesis of recent publications shows the lack of information about using of integral criteria for DCS performance evaluation. Being implemented at the example of LonWorks technology, proposed approach allowed identifying previously undescribed system parameters relationship, which helped to develop new analytical and simulation models, yielding more accurate estimates of functioning quality parameters of such systems. It is worth to note that the area of effect for proposed approach isn't limited by only industrial control networks like LonWorks or other fieldbus systems, but it also can be used for the wide class of a wired and wireless CSMA-based network.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116871633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The highest priority in design of new oil-field power supply systems, which are in most cases autonomous, should be devoted to ensuring uninterrupted, reliable and qualitative electric power generation as well as system survivability under variety of unpredictable incidents. The paper is primarily concerned with analyzing alternatives of preventive control in isolated oil-field power systems. As the main reason of severe accidents in such autonomous systems is voltage collapse and induction motor shutdown, the application of reactive power compensation devices at the most critical load buses should be considered. The results of autonomous power system transient analysis show that installation of such combined unit as magnetically controlled shunt reactor with capacitor bank allows to enhance dynamic stability up to 50%.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124716040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It proposes the concept of electric drives of the frequency converter-two-speed asynchronous motor system with switching structures. It is proved that development of VFDs with supply from two inputs is reasonable as they almost exclude simultaneous failures of power supply. Electric drive with two frequency converters, high and low speed windings supplied from independent inputs and electric drive with the frequency converter featuring two DC links are considered. The paper provides the VFD distinctive feature of which is switching the frequency converter from the high speed winding to the lowspeed one (and vice versa) dependent on the unit performance. It represents results of experimental research of the developed VFDs.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125451211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This creates new challenges for the electricity system to provide a balance between fluctuating generation and varying consumption. The present paper analyses various types of electricity storage available to meet a future energy scenario. Possible applications of energy storage are presented and discussed in context of energy policies and operational concepts as well as costs of electricity and installation investment. It has been shown that in the medium term the contribution of storage systems ensuring flexibility and provision of ancillary services appears particularly relevant.","PeriodicalId":262452,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (EIConRusNW)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131225172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
